- Albania is a country in Southeast Europe. It is in the Balkans, on the Adriatic and Ionian Seas within the Mediterranean Sea, and shares land borders with Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo to the northeast, North Macedonia to the east and Greece to the south.

The statue in the Skanderbeg square that you also saw in Kosovo is Gjergj Kastrioti also known as Skanderbeg. He was a military commander which prevented massively the ottoman turks to invade the whole of Europe for 25 years, since the 15th century. He is seen as a major hero for Albanians and one of the most powerful military leaders in Europe's history. He is also seen in the 5000 lek bill. Also, yes you can walk around wherever you want with alcohol and not getting in trouble. It's not illegal here in Albania. I hope you enjoy your remainder of time here. Do come again and stay safe.

Nice video! ‘Markata e peshkut‘ in Albanian means fish market 🐟 there are local fresh products. 👍🏼 Skanderbeg or Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbe is Albanin national biggest hero, known worldwide. He saved Albanian from foreign occupation and invaders mainly Turkish empire and prevented them to advance further in the Western Europe. His figure is respected and well known with dozens of statues 🌍 like: 🇦🇱, 🇽🇰, 🇮🇹, 🇨🇭, 🇧🇪, 🇦🇹, 🇺🇸, 🇦🇺, etc. There are plenty of squares in different countries named after him, songs, books, poems. We Albanians are very proud of him. 🇦🇱👑🦅 Drinking alcohol in public is ok in 🇦🇱. Don’t mind the starring of people! You’re welcome anytime in our beautiful country!

The entitlement that one can travel wherever culture he wants and expect people to behave like he is walking into his family is ridiculous. What is most ridiculous is what this guy is saying: "Imagine getting killed by Albanians in my second day". I see nothing wrong Albanians did there other than being curious. I was in Germany with a friend of mine, and blacks assaulted her twice in my presence and ran away in day broad light. Also I witnessed several sexual assaults by dark skin people in Frankfurt metro station, and police was just 50 yards away. All I see here is friendly people.

What are you on mate. Walk on any UK town with a can a beer or bottle on your hand and you'll be seen as an alkie and people will try to avoid you. So I don't understand why it should be seen as normal in Albania when the majority of the population don't get drunk.

Bro the statue you saw in Skanderbeg Square in Tirana and in Kosovo is the statue of Skanderbeg and he is our national hero who fought the Ottoman army for many years and won all the wars, he also did not allow the Ottomans to conquer Europe. and you will know that his statue is also in southern Italy or in other European countries. and his original sword and helmet are in the Austrian museum.
