Really enjoyed the video! After watching, I played a bunch of rec games and had to deal with many lobs by opponents. Lost confidence and returned lobs with lobs of my own - contrary to your advice. Lost every exchange. Sigh. Won’t do this again.
Thanks for watching, Andre. Hang in there! Returning a lob is difficult especially if you’re dropping the ball, but the good news is you can practice this and get better. What was the hardest part in your return?
@@andreplourde2234 Got ya - sometimes it can be tough to get around the ball after it has been lobbed and you can't take it out of the air. One thing that may help is focusing on your footwork getting to the ball. Make sure not to waste any steps getting to the ball. One step could make the difference.
Excellent video! Loved with explanations and slow the motion is wonderful to really see what is happening. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Thank you!
Great video Stephanie
Very helpful! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Well explained strategy, thanks very much.
You're welcome!
“ Like a dink but over emohasize the follow through” great explanation!
Thank you! Steph is the lob queen but she’s also one of the best instructors around!
I never considered the idea that there is a “time to lob” and what that time is. Great !
Thanks! Glad it helped

What is your grip pressure going from a dink to a lob? Great video examples!
Great question! I increase pressure slightly up to a 5 or 6 from a 3. Hope that helps

@@HighFivePickleball never managed to get a good contact point: ball not in front of me when I hit it.
