Remember though, Reno rotates out of Standard next year, so unless they introduce some other way of poofing the board or do the unthinkable and add Reno to the Core set, he won't be a factor for long.

I think thats why they are letting us experiment with renethal possibly.
if they slow down the meta, every deck is going to be Reno, and that doesn't sound very fun to me
Tinfoil hat time: they know this expansion has lots of tools to slow the meta down, and they know people are mad, so Rentathal being in standard until then is a stopgap to keep people from quitting they decided to toss in. Like the fact Rentathal is only here until then tells me they think it'll fix itself
Based on the leaks it seems like they added a ton of fun stuff, but the onus is really on them to nerf cards instead of adding bandaids, and undo the disturbing meta that’s unfolded since set rotation happened.
Zeddy, you can say it like: The Ex-O-Dar. It's the Draenei Mothership with which Prophet Velen escaped with other Eredar exiled (Draenei) from their homeworld Argus. (like the Titan) They became exiled and ran away eventually landing on Warcraft's world Azeroth after refusing Sargeras' Burning Legion deal unlike Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde and other people of the Eredar race.
I looked at the leaked cards, but it was such an info dump, I forgot half of them already

You can turn your starship into a c'thun, or gain an insane amount of armor potentially, its gonna be crazy once reno rotates.
Next rotation, we're losing TITANS and Showdown in the Badlands. I am very much looking forward to that.

Exodar is nuts. I think the crew transport option is the strongest. Because redoing all the starship cards is nutty.
5 mana for a tech card?
Have they literally learned nothing with all their other failed tech cards that were way too expensive?
The fact that this doesn't even silence starship pieces (Or even prevent them from becoming part of a starship by dying...) makes this tech card even worse...

@@chriscastle1629 There is always an opportunity cost for a tech card. Which is the card being useless 90% of the time.
Even with tradeable, that's 90% of a time you get taxed 1 mana to get an actual card instead of a dead draw.
The fact that all this tech card does, is destroy a minion, something that is so readily available to literally every class in the game often for far cheaper and less restricted in targets, makes this card utterly garbage.
It doesn't even properly "Tech" against it, given that Starship Pieces activate as Deathrattles (So destroying it with this tech card just adds it to the ship anyway) and 80% of the Starship cards are focused on having powerful Deathrattle effects (So destroying the ship with this tech card just activates most of their value anyway)
This could be a 2 mana 3/2 and it's still be an utterly terrible card.
@@tarille1043 i think tech cards need to go the eater of secret route in order to be playable, its not enough they counter a thing, they need to benefit you while doing so, its why reno is such an oppressive card, not only does its clear board it also prevents your opponent from defending themselves at the same time, so you get 2 free turns to deal damage.

Regarding tech cards, I think people kinda underestimate ETC.
Too many decks use ETC to always get the same thing or a "safe option" instead of just stuffing high impact tech cards into it. I used Renovator a decent amount to deal with enemy reno druids, for example - thanks to ETC.
I’m so glad that they had the foresight to know that all counter cards need to be neutral and not class specific and also for the future I hope that all tradable cards stay in the corset where there’s a tradable card the keyboard that is for weapons, secrets spells, minions And now starships and if I be so bold armor I also forgot locations silly me
"Emergency repairs" protocol would be a killer with Odyn Armor deck. You could actually play this and "Sleep under the stars" card in one turn if you got 15 mana. Crazy. If you won't play "New heights" before, you can always play those in two turns. Crazy anyway. New expansion seems exciting!

Hemet is obviously much stronger, since there are more Beasts in the game 😂

@@jeremiahsmith8499 not really because more often than not youre going to keep drawing it, forcing you do keep trading over and over and over again, its not worth it, most of the time the tech card is just going to be sitting in your hand anyway because better things to be doing with your mana, and if there isnt, youre probably going to lose anyway from doing nothing; and this is predicated on you burning a slot for tech cards anyway
Do we know how silence interacts with starships? I assume even if they die while silenced it still becomes a piece. I assume Polymorph/Hex can permanently remove pieces though

Um dumb question but how do starship pieces work with reborn? I uses dk reborn as my main deck can i build a huge starship using reborn then launch it with this to fill my hand with 1 drop ship pieces?
I wonder the Exodar's Offensive Formation would work with Shudderblock, cause its not technically the one who is dealing the damage, but the starships are
That anti-starship tech card is absolute cheeks. Need to reprint Golakka Crawler but have it eat starships instead of pirates. Call it void Crawler

So Starships are Infinite Minions and there is no way to remove it other than reno - thats sooo annoying

Druid might abuse starships but I don't think they'll work for ANYONE else sadly. :(

Zeddy, fyi, it's The 'ex-oh-dar' and the ship in which the Draenei travel. It crash-landed on Azeroth after the Draenei escaped from their home world.

Exodar is the capital city of the draenais. - at least for those who arrived as exiles to Azeroth
Someone at Blizzard is getting chewed out. iirc full set spoilers before launch typically has an impact on sales for other tcgs.
Ok, starship, in nowadays meta it looks like slow, but if every deck will be 40 card and 40 life hero, with one card that is already in standard it will have place, if there won't be good otk
viper is just too expensive to be playable, 3 mana is the break point for playable card, it eats up too much mana in the mid to late game stages that its awkward to play anything with it which is what you need to do in current standard, if it was ooze it would see play
Why do they even bother printing all this high cost stuff? If they dont slow down the game it doesnt really make any sense.
Maybe I can play those cards in casual play against bots...
