My friend got suspicious of a woman and her kids who claimed that they were homeless and couldn't afford a home or a car and blah, blah, blah. He knew he had seen this woman somewhere in the last week but couldn't put his finger on it. He snapped a photo of them to do an article on the homeless and beggers when his editor of the newspaper asked where he took the photo of the new district attorney's wife at. It hit him then he recently met her at a party welcoming them to town and on her husband's new job. He started filming her and her children the next day asking her why she was begging for money on a street corner when her husband is the new district attorney and so on. He followed her and her kids down the road to the Hobby Lobby where they all three jumped into a BMW and tore out of the parking lot. Needles to say her husband was humiliated by his wife's actions and filed for divorce and she was arrested for fraud. She was greedy for money and attention and it cost her her husband and children and any money she would of gotten in her divorce from her rich husband. She currently works as a barista at Starbucks and a cashier at the gas station she was begging in for money.

I ain’t even married, but my mother is like that.
You know the old trick question. “If you dig a hole 1’ long by 1’ wide by 1’ deep, how much dirt is in the hole?” We asked her that once, she started doing the math and mumbling “I’m pretty sure it’s one cubic foot.” When we told her none, because if there was it wouldn’t be a hole, she immediately insisted you’re supposed to count the dirt you dug out of the hole, then said you could the dirt under the hole and after we pointed out the dirt under the hole is technically the entire planet she just growled at us and told us all to shut up. Now almost 20 years later she either claims it never happened or claims we all told the joke wrong and that’s why she messed up 🤣

There’s a brother, sister, dad combo in my town like that. Brother pushes sister around in a wheel chair giving some sob story, dad sits in a windowless van about 100 feet away watching. After they bleed a parking lot dry of charity they hop into the van and drive off to the other side of town. Sister doesn’t even need the wheelchair, they got it from the dump. When they’re not begging they actually switch back and forth on who’s pushing who in the damn thing.
Everyone living here knows they’re full of it, but we have enough out-of-towners coming through they make butt loads of money.

The back up camera on the Chevy Equinox is a necessity! The car has such big blind spots, no matter which way you turn to look that you could hit a semi without ever seeing the thing. So you have to watch the mirrors, turn and look, AND use the camera! edit for spellcheck.

I especially like how useful it us when backing into a parking space.

My husband does me the same way. And after time and time again saying the camera has a blind spot I 1 day just used the camera and he never said another word. I almost ran over someone in the blind spot. But, I looked in the mirror and saw them and put on break. He looked in screen and asked why I breaked. I said because that person walking beside your mirror was in camera's blind spot and didn't want to run over them. He doesn't say anything to me about using my mirrors any more. "TIP" hand book tells you not to totally depend on the camera.

In my personal Jeep, the windshield mirror fell off, cop saw that, and pulled me over in a parking lot for it saying how dangerous it is not to have that mirror, I asked if I could prove him wrong, he sneered but said sure. I proceeded to back quickly between parked cars, zig zag around them, and back up to him stopping 1 foot from his knees. I asked him, any questions, he just walked away, professional drivers can drive circles around most folks, and it's true most truck accidents are caused by cars.

There are "Professional Beggars" who who have reportedly made as much as $60k a year. They live a comfortable life of luxury while pretending to be disabled, homeless, a crippled veteran and other scam identities to get money from random citizens. When they get found out they just move their scam to a new area. Saw a video on Reddit, I think on Instant Karma, where two men confronted a professional beggar and she ran away by getting into a brand new BMW.

Back-up cams and “blindspot” warning lights are only there for people to waste money on. Unless you are driving a vehicle with extremely poor visibility they serve no purpose. Nothing beats actually turning your head and really looking. I have had my vehicle backed into by people that relied on only their back-up camera and have almost been hit by others depending on their “blindspot” lights simply because they never turned their heads to see my vehicle.
