I love my Pioneer VSX D1s. I bought it used from the original owner back in 1999. It has served me well, and just last year I had to have some electrolytic caps replaced as it would not turn on very easily, had to press the power button multiple times, and when it did it had a hum through the speakers. If you watch the repair of one of these on 12voltvids, they are not the easiest to work on. My repair man said the same thing. This unit sounds just as good as my Onkyo M508 200watt per channel amp. I have the matching Pioneer GR 777 paired to my D1S.

It is always a smart move to get a few of the vintage audio stuff...you know, just in case :)
I regret selling mine ran mine with a set of cerwin vegas dx 9s very nice receivers
