    Sad thing is we’re a few plays away from 7-5 or 8-4 with all the injuries

    Garrett Nussemier could barely walk and still cooked us.

    Regarding the secondary, we need big hitters that are fast more so than taller players. The height factor is not really that important, what’s more important is that they are good players. Eli Bowen needs to work on not turning his back to the ball when guarding deep flag/post routes. Once he gets that worked out, he could become a true shut-down corner.

    We need lockdown corners like Derrick Strait. We haven’t really had solid corner play since pre-2008.

    PG this is not the worst loss ever. This loss was because LSU was much better in the trenches and that led them to taking advantage of our pass defense weakness. The kickoff return for a TD and the terrible interception pass Sharp threw

    As I recall we had just gone up 14-10 when we gave up the 100yd return td. But we were able to tie it at 17. We were still very much in the game to start the 2nd half, down 1 score. Where the game was really lost was after we punted them deep in their end, we had them 3rd and 12 from inside their 10, and instead of making them punt from the back of their endzone we let them off the hook. They went on to march right down the field and go up by 2 tds, game over. After the first 8 or 9 minutes, the defense had a hard time getting off the field all night. Yes they were gassed, but they were able to make plays on 1st and 2nd down, then give up a big play on 3rd.. All three phases played bad enough to loose.

    PG short of broken bones and tore ligaments, there is no reason why players should be missing basically the entire season. WTF is going on?!

    Why didn’t they just open it up and let Arnold go? Just tell him, “This is the last game of the season. Turn it loose! Don’t even think about coming out of this game! You’re the quarterback!”
    Nope. Instead, they thought having Sharp throw a pass was the way to go. The same guy who can’t wait to do something that will ruin the game.

  • @williebates3398
    @williebates3398 Месяц назад +5

    Its Oklahoma so regardless of injuries there should be enough talent behind the starters to at least be competitive. BV is in way over his head and wasn't a proven head coach before the hire. It was a swing and miss and Oklahoma will struggle until he's terminated.

      Nobody is replacing 5 starters at receiver and having an offense that looks decent. Regardless of who they are. Y’all put too much stock into a name and tradition and not into reality. We just got o line starters healthy as well.

    I'm already thinking about next season just cuz there's a lot on the line who will be the next offensive coordinator all six of our veterans injury Wide Receivers who's coming back who's going the offensive line problem and who's going to hit the transfer portal and of course quarterback is Jackson Arnold leaving is Michael Hawkins Junior leaving is Oklahoma going to hit the transfer portal and bring in a quarterback.
