Excellent lecture. I've learnt a lot more from your tutorials than my expensive uni course!

Thank you sir for this excellent lectures. Please can you give more insight on how to determine wind directional coefficient when a building orientation is known. Knowing that this approach is less conservative but the subject is confusing.

      @anayoeze6109
You are absolutely right. Directional coefficient will be clarified in next videos. I’ve noted it down.
I'm grateful for your support and for being a part of our educational journey on this channel.

Hi Sir, I am pretty new to European codes.
Was trying to figure out when to use "Wind pressure" method and "Wind force" method (Table 5.1- EN 1991.1-4) and sort of understood that while designing components and cladding we need to use wind pressure method and while designing lateral system we need to use wind force method (or Force coeff method).
On the other hand, while reading section 7 of EN 1991.1-4, I got confused because it says that to use wind pressure method for buildings and wind force method for signboards, structural elements (Not overall structures - thats how I understand) and so on.....
    Cl.7.1.1
"(1) Pressure coefficients should be determined for:
-Buildings, using 7.2 for both internal and external pressures
-Circular cylinders, using 7.2.9 for the internal pressures and 7.9.1 for the external pressures"
"(4) Force coefficients should be determined for:
    Signboards, using 7.4.3,
Structural elements with rectangular cross section, using 7.6,
Structural elements with sharp edged section, using 7.7,
Structural elements with regular polygonal section, using 7.8,
Circular cylinders, using 7.9.2 and 7.9.3,
    Spheres, using 7.10,
Lattice structures and scaffoldings, using 7.11,
    Flags, using 7.12."
Can you please provide some lights on this topic too...
Great lecture series and wonderful explanations to each sub topic sir. Thank you!
    Support from India!

Thanks, for your kind comment. I’ve to go through it in detail before I respond. I’ll try to create a video around it.

At timestamp 13:00 in this lecture ruclips.net/video/d1ouF2hwo0c/видео.htmlsi=PDuKN-0sjy_UFFJh, you'll find information about wind loading on each floor.
