Aha! Yes, your scary, smiley dance man, John Brascia, was an excellent dancer! He was a mere replacement due to his technique because the role of Phil Davis was supposed to have gone to Donald O’Conner. He suffered an injury so had to be replaced by Danny ‘Special’ Kaye, who was not as well rounded a dancer. Soooo, enter ‘smiley man’. I would love to have been a participant in your multi-part discussion of this movie because it is a favorite of mine, with me watching it every Christmas for 60 years!
Born in 1938, I believe that the general’s granddaughter is the only member of the main cast to still be alive. Thank heavens for movies that allow us to still see our favorite stars in their prime.
Sleepy Wednesdays With William are better than Drunk History 🤣
