First time? Kate has a treasure trove of classics and some of the most well known songs of all time. Listen to her first LP 'The Kick Inside' (on RUclips) and also songs from 'The Hounds of Love'. There are many other videos of her on RUclips which I'm sure you'll enjoy!
She looked cool wearing that leather trench coat, I recall when this video was on at the time and thinking how beautiful she was. Everyone commenting on her vocals, which I have always adored since 1978, thus thought of giving my mere view on how sensually beautiful and cool she seemed to be in my opinion here. Simplicity at its best: lady leather trench coat, no frills wide dark top, and free flowing thick strong lioness hair. And angel sounding vocals. The Kate we love. 😀
I love almost everything Kate produces, but I have to say, much as I love the raw passion of her earlier work, I love her music more as she gets older, and I love the person she's become. So much more sophisticated, her earlier stuff was great for the heart, but her recent stuff is good for the soul. It fills me with such intense pleasure. Love 50 words for snow album, and the reworks on Director's Cut and Before the Dawn.
50 Words for Snow is a remarkably beautiful album. While I love her creative experimentation in the earlier years equally as much, it is a shame that people only think of Wuthering Heights when they think of Kate Bush.
Heather I’ve listened to the album ‘50 words for snow’ based on these comments. It is beautiful, but far less accessible than her older work. That was ‘pop(ular)’ music, this really isn’t. I guess I’m old enough myself to grasp and appreciate this album (I’m 47), but this generally would be a tough nut to crack for anyone in their teens/twenties.
@@christopher1800 Kate's work has been going that way for a long time. The Red Shoes, Aerial, The Sensual World - all were far less poppy. But then even the signature track on her very first album The Kick Inside was FAR from poppy. I think you are judging Kate's output by the tracks that reached the charts, which inevitably were poppy, but if you look at he life's work, a vast amount - even the majority - was distinctly non-poppy.
I found this video purely by chance while looking to see Larry Adler - and suddenly there was my friend Roy Willox who died in Nov 2019. I co-wrote Roy's biography with his son in 2020 and we included a still from this video.
Mon cœur bat à nouveau, c'est très très faible mais je reconnais ce sentiment naissant et ce frémir d'aimer qui n'a pas de mot , je n'y croyais plus...merci à la Vie.🌬🦋
What a gem of a video!!! The beautiful Kate even sounds a lot like Ella Fitzgerald when she sang this classic track, just a little faster tempo here... Kate Bush did a great job singing this Gershwin masterpiece.
Jaw dropped onto floor. This woman is not bound by any era. Get some top-notch musicians around her and she can do magic with a classic. Sorry for the rhyme. The man on the harmonica is just upper echelon. Kudoes to everyone in the band. Total aces.
Someday he'll come along The man I love And he'll be big and strong The man I love And when he comes my way I'll do my best to make him stay He'll look at me and smile I'll understand And in a little while He'll take my hand And though it seems absurd I know we both won't say a word Maybe I shall meet him Sunday, maybe Monday, maybe not Still I'm sure to meet him one day Maybe Tuesday will be my good news day He'll build a little home Just meant for two From which I'd never roam Who would, would you? And so all else above I'm waiting for the man I love Maybe I shall meet him Sunday, maybe Monday, maybe not Still I'm sure to meet him one day Maybe Tuesday will be my good news day He'll build a little home Just meant for two From which I'd never roam Who would, would you? I love almost everything Kate produces, but I have to say, much as I love the raw passion of her earlier work, I love her music more as she gets older, and I love the person she's become. So much more sophisticated, her earlier stuff was great for the heart, but her recent stuff is good for the soul. It fills me with such intense pleasure. Love 50 words for snow album, and the reworks on Director's Cut and Before the Dawn.
Dito that my friend
Careful with your "raw passion" my friend ! Raw is rough !... ;)
Kate is so beautiful and great to see Larry Adler
I found this video purely by chance while looking to see Larry Adler - and suddenly there was my friend Roy Willox who died in Nov 2019. I co-wrote Roy's biography with his son in 2020 and we included a still from this video.
Totally natural, she sings as if she tells the story to someone. Look at 1:30 where she says "..maybe Tuesday" . So vivid.
I've loved Kate Bush since I was 2 years old.
Now I'm 895
LOL - grteat comment !!!
Such a beautiful voice and some memorable songs.
Aussi à l'aise dans le jazz mélodieux que dans la pop.
La marque des Grands ! 🧡
Beautiful and brilliant ! I love her voice and this woman`s work until the first album.
Thank you Kate. What a beautiful song. You nailed it luvvie!
I'll never forget the day I discovered Kate. Changed my life.
WOW at 0:40 that Look and at 3:09 what a Voice .. simply beautiful Kate Bush !!
Loved this song. Took me back to when I was 21 and Kate 22
She makes life worth living.
Hello Sophie, How are you doing?
It’s great to come across such a jewel!☺️☺️☺️
I love her since I was 14. When I hear her brings back to the memories. Hello from Guatemala
Hello Beautiful Angel
Jaw dropped onto floor. This woman is not bound by any era. Get some top-notch musicians around her and she can do magic with a classic. Sorry for the rhyme. The man on the harmonica is just upper echelon. Kudoes to everyone in the band. Total aces.
A classic song singing by a beauty.
I must confess that I'm more used to the old Kate Bush success but I like this one too. For me is like being on the cinema
Absolutely brilliant Kate!!
HOW WONDERFUL, she looks so fantastic. what a genius xxx
Someday he'll come along
The man I love
And he'll be big and strong
The man I love
And when he comes my way
I'll do my best to make him stay
He'll look at me and smile
I'll understand
And in a little while
He'll take my hand
And though it seems absurd
I know we both won't say a word
Maybe I shall meet him
Sunday, maybe Monday, maybe not
Still I'm sure to meet him one day
Maybe Tuesday will be my good news day
He'll build a little home
Just meant for two
From which I'd never roam
Who would, would you?
And so all else above
I'm waiting for the man I love
Maybe I shall meet him
Sunday, maybe Monday, maybe not
Still I'm sure to meet him one day
Maybe Tuesday will be my good news day
He'll build a little home
Just meant for two
From which I'd never roam
Who would, would you?
And so all else above
I'm waiting for the man I love
Incomparable🎶 Is this your favorite song?
Es única
Lindíssima ❤
I’m hoping that people know this song wasn’t written by Kate Bush.
Awesome to finally see this official and in great quality. Thanks, Kate! ❤️
Kate Bush will be remembered for a lifetime ...
I absolutely adore this girl, I have grown up with her, from the kick inside up to 50 words aerial and oh you get the picture I love her and her music, let's have some more please Kate. God bless you 😇
She is hardly a girl now. Still bloody brilliant and I will go to the record shop and wait for them to open on release day of a new album.
@@Dermacrosis she will always be a girl to me 👧❤️
If she is a girl to you that is great news to me as that makes me a young kid in comparison and it is not often nower days I can feel that way. I was 4 when Wuthering Heights was released and have been a fan since :-D
We miss and love you, Kate!
I started listening to her songs at 12 ,or 13 & now I'm 54 turning 55 this fall / winter .This is one of my all time favourite of jazz standards ,but she didn't execute it really well ! I wish if she didn't sing this one like this ,or not even tried it.💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💞
Brilliant version! Everything perfect! Bravooo!
Hello friend, how are you doing today? ??
Hello Beautiful Angel
Kate Bush is a great, she'll go down in history as being one of the best female musicians of all time, she certainly is a very unique artist.
Thank you so much for this. Wonderful interpretation of this song.
Goodness gracious grief, Kate Bush is not only one of the truest, most brilliant, old school/in-the-theological-sense-of-the-term, capital-G Geniuses in the last 50 years of the Arts, no debate....... She also just happens to be one of the most _stunningly, astonishingly_ gorgeous women that my eyes have ever seen.
Welp, guess that's my cue to throw BEFORE THE DAWN on again for the evening.
This made me realize that her voice works perfectly for these old jazzy 1940s songs!
1920'z in this case!
Beautiful song and stunning video too.
Thank you for uploading this forgotten pearl
Lovely! Kate Bush is amazing on this and beautiful is the sound of the mouth harp 😍
She was an icon to my generation
Love it , you are a genius xxxxxxxxxxxx
