Just bought a 60s. Fell in love at the Gibson Garage in London a few weeks ago. The neck was just so comfortable for me. Had a 59 neck in my Lazarus, great guitar but just didn't quite suit me. Traded in a couple of Epiphone Les Pauls, a 335 & a Sigma acoustic a couple of weeks later to ease the pain on the credit card to walk out of a store with a 60s Unburst & a Satin 335 in vintage sunburst. They are both great, very happy & lucky to have them. The 60s is well worth saving for & probably underated or less desirable as everyone seems to hold the 59 in such high esteem. The 60s just blew me away, it felt like it was made to measure for me & could just produce every tone & sound I wanted, even weirdly, almost an acoustic sound. The range & possibilities from the tone & volume knobs are endless.
I agree that of the three, the Standard 60s is the one and I need to keep saving $$$ so I can purchase one.
The Flame on that 60s Standard is SPECTACULAR!! OMGOSH
Love this shoot out! Hats off John and Zach!!! yes!!!! Keep this format up, it ROCKS!
Personally, I was a fan of the Gold top with the P90’s, but damn they all sound so friggin GOOD! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The 60s stsndard was just great. It stood out.
Wonderful playing all you guys and great demo! I love how the mids really "ring" with that crunch or light OD thanks mostly to the 24 ¾ scale length. All 3 LPs are great, you cannot go wrong. I'd prefer the LP 60s, its sound had something different.
Love this format. You guys sound great!!
Moonage Daydreamesque! 🔥
Awesome video! Live rock n roll kicks ass everytime! Can't wait to see more 🤘🏼
Always been partial to the 50’s Standard, but in this video I preferred the sound of the two
Great job guys! I gotta try some P90s
Great video and jam!
Awesome playing!
My favourite was the Goldtop P90!
If you combine two of them then it would be the Goldtop with the Sixties one...
But as you say with all of them playing is really marvelous!
All the Les Paul's sounded really good, but it is hard to beat a P90 Goldtop...
My normal go to would have been the gold top but I like the sound and look of the 60s standard what colour is that, great show enjoy watching
60s Standard
Not m6 fsv spunding bu5 i loved thr goldtop
I'm a 50s guy, I own an R8 for that reason. You can play different guitars but I always settle with the 50s.
The P-90s have their bite and are mean in a good way, making it stand out very well. You do need both, agreed. One Les Paul is blasphemous lol. My Les Paul with P-90s is the Special and I love it too. You need
TV Yellow in your collection is a must. It's like Gulden's mustard on a hot dog.
I don’t know, but every time I go to the store and I demo them the standards just sounds so much better
I have a brand new 2019 50s LP up for sale on reverb.
The Live made me want to re-listen Multiple Times !!
I recommend a powerhouse stage amp/ Half Stack
Live ALWAYS sounds better than studio processed through a bedroom amp !! .. Yeah Run with the live Cuts !! I do like the 60s Pups
Goldtop P90 😍
Is that the Mick Ronson solo from Moonage Daydream, Freakout!??
The track is our jam arrangement of Moonage Daydream yes! Thanks for watching
Boomer here (39 years old) and loving those boomer bends! 1:57
I think the 61s are the best production pups end of sentence. I don't have a 50s with humbuckers, but I have the other two and love them both . . . but I think those 61s are sleepers and future classics. I'm actually going to put new p90s in the goldtop.
And yes I think you're more a part of the music in this format. There was a time when the backing track was so low it sounded like you were playing jazz over something else and then swapped backing tracks lol So I think your playing has already become much more oriented to the jam than, say, a couple years ago, but this configuration helped even more. Almost gave the illusion you guys were in the same room . . . which is my gimmick, so stay in your lane lol jk
I like a 61 in the bridge and a 57 in the neck. A great combo for sweet and crispy tones!
I’d put EMGs in every one.
Go away and shred Ibanez guitars. Les Pauls are for more dynamic playing rather than shredding.
Just about to buy a gibson LP standard ..but I m afraid of the headstock breaking , I red hundreds of comments about that problem..😔😔😔. I have fender MIM and want a second guitar....
Don't worry too much about it! If you're buying it to play it, definitely don't worry about it. Just common sense - transport in a hard case, don't knock it around or drop it. Don't lean it up against chairs or couches where it can fall over. It's a vulnerability of the headstock shape but it doesn't magically break, it has to do with user error when it happens. Thanks for watching, you can shop Gibson here: www.zzounds.com/a--3979398/cat--Gibson--3549
@@PlayandTradeGuitars thanks sooo much for this opinion , I m in Europe , so I ll buy it from thomann but only in september 🤘🤘🎸🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸
As long as you’re not tossing it around and shit you’ll be fine. It’s not just gonna pop off randomly
@@TheTrollMastah ok thanks , I red a comment when the man said that the headstock just " exploded" while the guitar was on the stand .....but was just one comment , from other at least 300 of people who said their headstock broked !!
I've got a Gibson LP Standard 50's and a Gibson LP Special P90..... Now I've got 60's GAS 😂
R8
Thin
I have/had the Gibson 50's & 60`s LP standard and I no longer have the 60's. 😉I have a Gibson LP JR and love the sound of the dogear P 90! LP standard gold top P 90 will be my next Gibson.
50s all the day
Visually, I can't stand those 60's kidney bean turners and reflector volume/tone knobs.
