      @@OGsDangerShow
      G'day,
Welcome to the ranks of the
      Unemployed !
I had to retire in 1986, at 25, due to
      Nurses' Back
(I was RGN-In-Charge {on Shift} at the Vegetable Creek Hospital, Emmaville 2371 NSW, Oz...!).
And, mate, after a while ; one wonders where the hell one ever found the time to go to work...
Another challenge, you'll likely encounter, at this point ; will be the temptation to become a cantankerous nosey loudmouthed old Fart - which I think y'alls now call
      "Old Grey Male
      Karens..." (?) !
      It's a
      Mug's Game,
      To try fighting against the
      Grey...
      But it's well worth the
      Effort to try to
      Steer always towards being
      A
      Harmless friendly old Fart,
Rather than allowing oneself to grow to epitomise a
      Noisy old Haemorrhoid
      (Loudmouthed Pain In The Arse)...!
But, how you turn out, in the end ; will be
      Entirely
      A matter of
      Choice, as ye
      Excercise perfect
      Liberty...
      While bearing perfect
      Responsibility...
      For whatever
      Ye
      Hath wrought...(!).
      Have fun,
      Such is life...
Try not to mess it up (?) !
      Stay safe.

i have been thinking of trying to heat treat or even pack carburize some cut pieces of rebar so that they are hardened high carbon steel and then 3d print a sabot around them.
i dont have a viable work space to do this anymore so if someone can make this happen im sure the result will be interesting.

    • @NovaDexter
      @NovaDexter Год назад +4

@@uncoolsticcboi I think making a sabot just for Rebar would sell. For people who live off grid it would be a great resource to have on hand if accurate. I think you could just harden the tip with a torch. You could chop saw a point or round it down like a slug.

    • @windhelmguard5295
      @windhelmguard5295 Год назад +2

@@uncoolsticcboi i think 3D printing a sabot would be kinda overdoing it, i think just making a reusable mould that you fill with something like polymer clay would be a better way of doing it.
then add a guide line that tells you up to which point to fill it with clay, so it fills up completely when you put the rebar in, and something to help you centre the rebar inside the sabot and all you need to do now is fill the mould to the guideline, press the rebar into the mould centred (i think a reloading tool should have all you need for this) let the clay harden, remove the rebar with the sabot from the mould, rinse and repeat.
alternatively i'd suggest a two piece mould that you can fill with molten lead before inserting a pre-heated piece of rebar.

The drywall mud was an interesting target. Might not worth paying for routinely but it was pretty spectacular to see the energy dump, so I'm glad we got to see it this time.

Looks like a four start rapid traverse lead screw for an actuator. It should be hardened so you should be careful what you shoot at especially if it was not tempered.

Thanks for the fun video. I wonder what all steel slugs will look like when they outlaw lead? Thanks again for what I think is really fascinating. You two really make a great team.

I’d rather see those other clowns who can’t shoot. Or Breanna. Or Danny. Or anyone. 🤷‍♂️
