I have the 4300. These machines are not complicated at all. It is the easiest thing to do when you wake up early in the morning for amazing tasting fresh coffee. Not only that it is sooooo easy to clean!

I would love to have time and skills for traditional style of brewing the coffee. Fortunately... this one saves me time, money and again... skills. Especially on cappuccino. I'm always mesmerised how easy looks when a barista does the milk foam/frothing. I could never 🙄
This thing is amazing. I bought one at the start of lockdown and I have been making my blonde latte's at home ever since. Way more consistent than Starbucks and its super simple. For me since I make the same drink I literally turn it on hit Latte and the Play/Start button and I am done (gotta fill water and milk as needed of course).
@@mustang. I use Starbucks blonde expresso beans and Starbucks hazelnut and vanilla syrups. I set the machine on latte 2, 2, 3 left to right. Run that with 3 pumps vanilla and 2 hazelnut. Its as close to Starbucks as you can get but its always consistent. Starbucks varies wildly depending on who is running the machine
@@mustang. Awesome. I hope you love it. I stir mine with some small stir sticks after its done to make sure the syrup is spread through the drink. You can buy the syrup from a Starbucks directly or the better option is one in a grocery store. I buy mine from the starbucks inside Giant grocery. They are about 10 bucks a bottle and they give me free pumps. Each bottle lasts about a month for me. Beans last about 1 bag every 2 weeks. I drink 1-2 per day.

The fact that this is too complicated for most of you speaks volumes. Complicated things can be quite rewarding, but if instant gratification is what your after "Something easy" then do you.
This is indeed more complicated than it should. I own a $500 espesso machine and $400 grinder and they are easy to setup and use. Not to mention the grinder in this machine is probably crap and it wont produce the correct espresso
Daniel Kelley nahh. I understand your point but trust me, if what you want is true espresso then this machine is not for you want. Machines like these wont allow you to adjust grind setting to optimize espresso to your taste. But ofcourse this is personal preference. If you are happy with this then by all mean enjoy.
Daniel Kelley hmmm I hate to sound like a coffee snob here but I am pretty sure the grind consistency wont be for espresso. I have moved on from these all in one machines to dedicated ones and having separate machines that do the job well suite my taste. But again I’m bias since I am into the process of actually making good coffee. These are convenient for those who want a one click machine and not having to spend 10 mins for a cup of coffee.
People bitching in the comments.... Once you are past the initial (one time) setup of the device, you literally put coffee beans in it, click the drink you want and hit play. If that is too difficult, then just stick to a Keurig
Right? This thing does the work of a grinder, brewer, steamer, and makes 5 coffee drinks, and yet it's "too complicated"? Most of the button pressing is to show flexibility, ffs.

They are nice but pricey and you have to maintain every so often, which isnt bad but i do enough of that with everything else in life. The old perculator is still unbeatable with just coffee. The machiatto looks like a nice addition. I only have the base model 3200 though.
This is a bean to cup ultimately simplistic machine. You don't even need a manual they literally walk you through setting up the whole thing in this video. Once it's set up you push two buttons and get a cup of coffee and walk away. What's Difficult about that?
I can't believe people are actively complaining and talking about having to call NASA if they can't figure it out because it's so complicated. This literally has a flat panel with buttons that are labeled! So simple

I still don't understand how it gets the milk from the bottom of that cup to heat, foam, and come out at the spout at the top of the cup. But it does it and that's really all I needed to know. Thanks.
What exactly are the three brewing temperatures in Celsius (or Kalvin or Fahrenheit)? Low, medium and high settings don't really mean anything to me...
So they failed to use transportation mannuals on how to drive cars, vans, trucks and so on when using on those roads, highways and expressways to prevent road rage.
I understand there's lots of buttons and different processes, but saying it's too much work for one cup I'm pretty sure once the grounds are in there you just put the cup in there and press the button not sure how that's more work than any other coffee maker ?
Hi there Philips - we meet again. I have my machine and it's set-up. Unfortunately I moved the grinder and am concerned I turned the knob one too many times. In reading the booklet (after I did this) it says to leave the knob setting as is for several cups. Can you confirm where the factoring setting is usually set so I can put it back where it should go? Also, it says the lower the #, the finer the grind. Can you confirm that the kob should be turned in a counter-clockwise for a finder grind? Or is is clockwise? In the manual, it refers to a 'Fig. 17' to reference coffee grinder knob - there is no Figure 17??? Please provide instructions on which way to turn knob for finer coffee grinds. Thank you.

No way, the previous model was way more complicated. This one has a button for every setting. They're also showing you set up. To use this once you get the temperature and amount of beans per drink setup you just push the button and push play. The only thing you change out is the milk at that point
I just installed it. How many cups do I need to brew before it returns great coffee? My first three espresso are just very watery. No puck in waste either

It's not really that complicated. Once you get things set up for how you want your coffee(s), it's just a matter of filling the milk (if needed) and pressing a button.
Having a hard time connecting with product support so I post my question here hoping to get some help... I filled the water tank up to the max line and inserted it properly but the 'water tank empty‘ light kept on often either right after inserting or during a cycle... It happens everytime. I just repeated removing and inserting the water tank until it allowed me to choose a program... Is my machine defective or what did I do wrong?

My coffee is only heating up to 160 degrees F, but online says the coffee should be at around 194-205. Is there a way to make the water hotter, besides using the machine's basic 3 levels of hotness? Cuz technically, I feel like this coffee maker is causing our coffees to not be the best they could be.

Dear Philips, please tell me: 1. How do I ONLY make milk froth (WITHOUT making a new coffee drink: if I've already made espresso and just want to add milk froth after; or if I just want MORE milk froth that was already made. And, of course, WITHOUT wasting more coffee beans by starting the latte or cappuccino options and then stopping them before the coffee drink starts coming out - which would mean that beans would be ground and then wasted..)? 2. Is there a way to CHOOSE the container that the coffee is taken from every time I make a drink? Eg. Have regular coffee beans in the beans' container, and have decaf grounded coffee in the small container for grounded coffee. That way I will be able to choose whether I want coffee, or decaf, every time (without having to empty out the regualr beans from the large container, and replace them with decaf beans - which looks like a very difficult process as we can't just "pour out" the beans since the container is an undetachable part of the whole machine...)?

People want a lot of options out of their appliances, but don't want too many buttons. Folks, if you want a lot of options, you're gonna have a few buttons. They haven't made a buttonless Apple iEspresso machine that can read your mind.

Hi Christine, a bit later than the 54 minutes 😅, but we did check it right here in our Philips Labs. Our result was that on average it takes between 20 and 40 seconds before you can press that magical button! 💫 ☕
@@Philips Many thanks - I pulled the trigger yesterday on this machine via Seattle Coffee Gear. The simple design of the carafe sold me on this. Now me and my dad are trying to figure out how I can automatically make an espresso without getting out of bed. I told him that you can't because you have to select your drink and push the go button, but he's telling me to "dig a little deeper". He's a retired engineer. I have a smart outlet, but that still doesn't help me with selecting the drink and pressing the go button. Any ideas :)

Hi. I have set the temperature to maximum. However, milk coffees (latte ,cappuccino) are not coming hot.Coffee tastes great however its luke warm. Is there any other setting I'm missing?
Hi, thanks for your message. We're sorry to hear that the temperature of your coffee isn't warm enough. If it's only the milk drinks that aren't warm enough, that's usually because the milk will always reduce the temperature of the coffee. It could be possible to pre-heat the milk or leave it to warm/steam up a little longer, until it reached the temperature you desire. If it's the coffee itself that's not getting warm enough, it might be good to descale the machine, as limescale could build up inside your machine and cause it to decrease the temperature of your coffee. @Philips thank you for your response. I bought this machine 3 weeks back so I dnt think any descaling is required at the moment.Also, normal black coffee is very hot only issue is with milk coffees. My machine does not have an option to froth milk for extra time. Already froth level is set to max froth level.My machine model is 3200 lattego. Is there any other solution?

You say "machine starts rinsing some hot water through the hot water spout". Mine doesn't, it just proceeds straight to the filter phase. I can't find a way to force the rinse.

I think the instructions are no longer accurate? I turned on the machine for first time use and hot water doesn’t come out automatically. Looks like I have to click on Aqua Clean manually
I have the 3200 LatteGo and I can add tell the machine to do full strength on the beans. No matter what I choose Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato it has no taste. I am using Intelligentsia Black Cat beans. Not sure if it is the grind settings but it seems like it does a few seconds of an espresso shot than it looks watery coming out. Is there a solution to this? I am not saying I am not happy yet but not pleased.

You're looking at a super automatic, this is one of those coffee makers that once you get it set up you push whether you want a cappuccino or a macchiato and hit play. It does it all for you. If you want to steam wand step down a level and get a cheaper unit. This identical one comes with a steam wand and you save like $100.
idk how you get so much Macchiato I get like half a cup on highest setting. Fells like i get enough creamer but then coffee turns to water real fast. I know you can hold the button until it beeps and do your own amounts but coffee part always turns to water so fast. Comes out dark at first but then within seconds white foam looking.

To adjust the standby time for your machine you can do the following: 1 Press the on/off button to switch off the machine. 2 When the machine is switched off: press and hold the Calc / Clean icon until the Calc / Clean light and the Aroma strength lights go on. 3 Tap the Aroma strength icon to select the required stand-by time: 15, 30, 60 or 180 minutes. Respectively 1, 2, 3 or 4 lights of the Aroma strength icon light up. 4 When you have finished setting the stand-by time, press the start/stop button. The machine switches off. 5 Press the on/off button to switch on the machine again. We hope this helps.

You can only restore the default settings when the machine is switched off. 1 Press the on/off button to switch the machine off. 2 Press and hold the espresso icon for 3 seconds. - The middle lights in the drink setting icons light up. The start/stop light starts to pulse, indicating that the settings are ready to be restored. 3 Press the start/stop button to confirm you want to restore the settings. 4 Press the on/off button to switch on the machine again. @@Philips Hi...let me explain..i wanna have a coffee and im pressing the coffee icon... im using a big cup or big glass..yes there is 3 level volume of water that we can choose and i choose high.. but the highest setting still not reach my desired volume of water of my cup that i use...i try to set the volume quantity of that water just to be perfect with my big cup size ...i try as per video that showing how to adjust permanently latte machiato water level which it dispense milk first and then coffee and we choose the prefered volume of water quantity... but for coffee mode ...i try the same method but it cannot be done...it just stop at level high...

How do you clean the machine, apart from the area where the ground coffee is ejected? Is there any other kind of cleaning that we must do?

They are nice but pricey and you have to maintain every so often, which isnt bad but i do enough of that with everything else in life. The old perculator is still unbeatable with just coffee. The machiatto looks like a nice addition. I only have the base model 3200 though.

This is a bean to cup ultimately simplistic machine. You don't even need a manual they literally walk you through setting up the whole thing in this video. Once it's set up you push two buttons and get a cup of coffee and walk away. What's Difficult about that?

Hi there Philips - we meet again. I have my machine and it's set-up. Unfortunately I moved the grinder and am concerned I turned the knob one too many times. In reading the booklet (after I did this) it says to leave the knob setting as is for several cups. Can you confirm where the factoring setting is usually set so I can put it back where it should go? Also, it says the lower the #, the finer the grind. Can you confirm that the kob should be turned in a counter-clockwise for a finder grind? Or is is clockwise? In the manual, it refers to a 'Fig. 17' to reference coffee grinder knob - there is no Figure 17??? Please provide instructions on which way to turn knob for finer coffee grinds. Thank you.

No way, the previous model was way more complicated. This one has a button for every setting. They're also showing you set up. To use this once you get the temperature and amount of beans per drink setup you just push the button and push play. The only thing you change out is the milk at that point
I just installed it. How many cups do I need to brew before it returns great coffee? My first three espresso are just very watery. No puck in waste either

We advise you to brew a few more cups of coffee in order the machine can optimize the extraction and compactness of the ground coffee. It's not really that complicated. Once you get things set up for how you want your coffee(s), it's just a matter of filling the milk (if needed) and pressing a button.
Having a hard time connecting with product support so I post my question here hoping to get some help... I filled the water tank up to the max line and inserted it properly but the 'water tank empty‘ light kept on often either right after inserting or during a cycle... It happens everytime. I just repeated removing and inserting the water tank until it allowed me to choose a program... Is my machine defective or what did I do wrong?

i was thinking of buying this for my mother, but she cant even figure the new smart tv out.
My coffee is only heating up to 160 degrees F, but online says the coffee should be at around 194-205. Is there a way to make the water hotter, besides using the machine's basic 3 levels of hotness? Cuz technically, I feel like this coffee maker is causing our coffees to not be the best they could be.

Dear Philips, please tell me:
1. How do I ONLY make milk froth (WITHOUT making a new coffee drink: if I've already made espresso and just want to add milk froth after; or if I just want MORE milk froth that was already made. And, of course, WITHOUT wasting more coffee beans by starting the latte or cappuccino options and then stopping them before the coffee drink starts coming out - which would mean that beans would be ground and then wasted..)?
2. Is there a way to CHOOSE the container that the coffee is taken from every time I make a drink? Eg. Have regular coffee beans in the beans' container, and have decaf grounded coffee in the small container for grounded coffee. That way I will be able to choose whether I want coffee, or decaf, every time (without having to empty out the regualr beans from the large container, and replace them with decaf beans - which looks like a very difficult process as we can't just "pour out" the beans since the container is an undetachable part of the whole machine...)?

Hi Christine, a bit later than the 54 minutes 😅, but we did check it right here in our Philips Labs. Our result was that on average it takes between 20 and 40 seconds before you can press that magical button! 💫 ☕
@@Philips Many thanks - I pulled the trigger yesterday on this machine via Seattle Coffee Gear. The simple design of the carafe sold me on this. Now me and my dad are trying to figure out how I can automatically make an espresso without getting out of bed. I told him that you can't because you have to select your drink and push the go button, but he's telling me to "dig a little deeper". He's a retired engineer. I have a smart outlet, but that still doesn't help me with selecting the drink and pressing the go button. Any ideas :)

Hi. I have set the temperature to maximum. However, milk coffees (latte ,cappuccino) are not coming hot.Coffee tastes great however its luke warm.
Is there any other setting I'm missing?
Hi, thanks for your message. We're sorry to hear that the temperature of your coffee isn't warm enough. If it's only the milk drinks that aren't warm enough, that's usually because the milk will always reduce the temperature of the coffee. It could be possible to pre-heat the milk or leave it to warm/steam up a little longer, until it reached the temperature you desire.
If it's the coffee itself that's not getting warm enough, it might be good to descale the machine, as limescale could build up inside your machine and cause it to decrease the temperature of your coffee.

I bought this machine 3 weeks back so I dnt think any descaling is required at the moment.Also, normal black coffee is very hot only issue is with milk coffees.
My machine does not have an option to froth milk for extra time. Already froth level is set to max froth level.My machine model is 3200 lattego.

You say "machine starts rinsing some hot water through the hot water spout". Mine doesn't, it just proceeds straight to the filter phase. I can't find a way to force the rinse.

I think the instructions are no longer accurate? I turned on the machine for first time use and hot water doesn’t come out automatically. Looks like I have to click on Aqua Clean manually

I have the 3200 LatteGo and I can add tell the machine to do full strength on the beans. No matter what I choose Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato it has no taste. I am using Intelligentsia Black Cat beans. Not sure if it is the grind settings but it seems like it does a few seconds of an espresso shot than it looks watery coming out. Is there a solution to this? I am not saying I am not happy yet but not pleased.

there's a chronic problem with the milk bubble. cracks form in the plastic. They keep it out of warranty. 2 in 1 year. I'm changing times.

You're looking at a super automatic, this is one of those coffee makers that once you get it set up you push whether you want a cappuccino or a macchiato and hit play. It does it all for you. If you want to steam wand step down a level and get a cheaper unit. This identical one comes with a steam wand and you save like $100.
idk how you get so much Macchiato I get like half a cup on highest setting. Fells like i get enough creamer but then coffee turns to water real fast. I know you can hold the button until it beeps and do your own amounts but coffee part always turns to water so fast. Comes out dark at first but then within seconds white foam looking.

Hi Chantal, thank you for reaching out to us with this question. To adjust the standby time for your machine you can do the following:
1 Press the on/off button to switch off the machine.
2 When the machine is switched off: press and hold the Calc / Clean icon until the Calc / Clean light and the Aroma strength lights go on.
3 Tap the Aroma strength icon to select the required stand-by time: 15, 30, 60 or 180 minutes. Respectively 1, 2, 3 or 4 lights of the Aroma strength icon light up.
4 When you have finished setting the stand-by time, press the start/stop button. The machine switches off.
5 Press the on/off button to switch on the machine again.

Hi there, Muhd. Thanks for your message. We recommend restoring the device to factory settings. You can only restore the default settings when the machine is switched off.
1 Press the on/off button to switch the machine off.
2 Press and hold the espresso icon for 3 seconds.
- The middle lights in the drink setting icons light up. The start/stop light starts to pulse, indicating that the
settings are ready to be restored.
3 Press the start/stop button to confirm you want to restore the settings.
4 Press the on/off button to switch on the machine again.

The hot water button is not humanized, it should be changed to a single hot milk button, which is more humanized
