Love watching your videos. From the roundhouse to the workshop solar and the water hydro turbine pond toilet etcetc 😁the journey has been extremely impressive , informative and a pleasure to watch. Thankyou kris for bringing us along. Looking forward to the next installment. Looking amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
Well done Kris, you have done the whole build to how you want it and this is the ideal behind the whole of the project. The wall looks great the chickens have a great life searching out goodies and wandering around free. I hope the woodland is coming on to how you want it and wish you well for the future, keep up the good work.
Awesome use of raw materials!! Your building is inspiring me more and more. To build a passive solar earth bag home. The beams would look good for a timber frame post and beam core roof support. The wall really gives it that rustic look I like.Keep it up! Can't wait to see more.
Just making a simple suggestion to save you having to cart logs through the workshop & through the door. Change/modify a window in log burner area so you can drop logs into a bin/crate. A little horizontal door sized to the logs you'll burn. Great vlog and a very creative way to install those glass panels.👍
Inspiring, as usual! One thing Kris doesn’t have to worry about is somebody suing him, saying, “He stole the plan for my building, right down to the hobbity windows!” :-)
Your audio is fine Kris and it’s great that you adjust the levels for the much louder parts especially since I use earbuds. Personally I would have installed all 3 windows the same way but it’s your build and it’s great to see the self diagnosed OCD sufferers get upset when you do something your way. The entire build has been done organically without straight lines so it all works out in the end and will be a shop to envy once it’s complete. As for your “break” to rest, please don’t feel the need to apologize. Everyone needs some downtime to recharge or you’ll end up in the hospital or loony bin wearing a sports coat that lets you hug yourself all day.
The windows look great. Excellent progress again this week. With regards to the sound quality, I can hear everything at this end very well. So no worries on that front. As ever, thanks for sharing your build with us. Best wishes.
Now that's beauty love the way you did that. I miss building things did it for years till I got hurt real bad. Man I miss it. Now just my hearts not in it since I can't stand to long or even sit to long due to pain. But man seeing stuff like this I have to sub now and watch more. I love your videos, have you ever considered building your own saw mill . I think that would make for some awesome videos and could be very handy with all your future projects.
The Granberg chain sharpeners are a good deal to get the saw cutting like new. I've been using the 12v precision grinder and jig for a few years. Simple and effective.
Hi Kris, why don't you put in a rocket stove, environmentally friendly, would get really hot but release heat over long time, if used regularly it would be a more consistent temp/environment with less fluctuations of temp, les wood / fuel to use, no risk of chimney fire and it would make a great video watching you make it. Love what you are doing, all the best.
Hi Kris another bit done. The sound is fine and quite audible it is nice and crisp. Thanks for the update on things. By the way you are allowed to have the odd day off you know.

I'm really glad he explained why he's splitting off a room, I was wondering why. I thought he'd want the space, the point of a large workshop, but that's summer thinking, his plan is smart to break a piece off to make it easier to heat
The early videos in this series, he explains in more detail that this room is 2 things. A mancave to chill. A cleaner closed off room for electrical and electronics projects. The lower workshop is woodworking. The upper workshop will be metal working, with a car lift as well.
Resharpen the chain, it will take you 5-10 min by hand... File each tooth back on the same angle until your past the defect, we hit nails, stones all the time and this is normal process and part of the job...
Awesome video, Kris! Sound is fine. I thought I heard a rain storm at about 21:00 in? Right before you mentioned the audio settings. Looks great! Amazing work! Thanks for the video, man!
Nice job! I was thinking. When you step inside and look at your wall. Put one of those, carved pieces, on the Left end of the wall, and all the way down to the right, as you make your transition into the little room, both sides. Did that make sense? 🤔 Frame the Wall ends too. Not just the windows.
Interesting way to do windows. I'd have created frames for the windows first, fit that and last install the window. You do everything your own way and it works out great :)
That looks really great, congrats on getting this next step done and getting further along each time. Like your new work room. Have you thought about a heat exchange with the heater your putting in your work room and then put into the bigger area so that the heat is closer to the floor at the back?
