Very true, I lived there for years.
Don't forget, work of any kind is forbidden on Sunday. I had a Swiss woman threaten to complain to the police when I changed a tire on my car, may God forgive me, on a Sunday!
For religious reason?
@@jian_li Jup. But if you chanche the tires by yourself, no one should have a problem with it.
Not rly you can do any kind of work at sunday as long as you don’t produce noises.
This is ridiculous, you may change your tires on sundays. Trust me, I did it several times.
ahahah so you had an experience with so called “Bünzli” 😂😂😂
As someone married to a swiss man, don't forget doing stuffs on legal holidays too, like using the common wash area, having general cleaning, loud music to name a few are grave sins. Sundays and holidays are sacred to them. Also, don't knock/ring on your neighbor or call swiss people on the phone after 10PM, they will not be happy unless it's an emergency.
As a swiss person I can 100% sign this
I’m gonna call every Swiss phone number I can find at midnight just for fun 😂😂😂😂
How to annoy the Swiss? Just be human...
Ehrenmann haha
It's funny because it's true
Sad but true they are so psycho rigid.
I’d avoid them. Ghastly people
Oooooooooo.
Emily, as someone about to move to Züri, I love your videos! Keep them coming :)
Never experienced any of these as a Swiss person
Me neither! 😅
What about the “no toilet flush after 10pm” law?
@@fiof not a real thing. There is law that states that you should keep noice to an acceptable level, meaning no partying etc. but flushing at night aswell as showering is not forbidden and would never hold up in court… in no state/county and neither in Switzerland or Germany etc. people really believe and spread the dumbest shit…
@@derpissi ok, ok for a moment I thought the walls in Switzerland were made of cardboard. That and maybe Switzerland was a nation of Karens, that constantly carry a sound level meter in one hand, and in the other hand a phone ready to call the polizei.
@@fiof the noice thing is also only after 10pm btw
Yes I know Roger Federer isn't that guy who was in James Bond movies?
ಠ_ಠ
I'm from Western Switzerland, and I'm still breaking these "Swiss laws".
Many of the things they mention are typically German. So they don’t really apply for western Swiss people
Switzerland is sucks
I hate it if someone is late for an appointment. If you say at 9 o’clock, it is 09:00 and not 09:15, for heaven's sake! ... yes, I’m Swiss! ;D
Of course you are, no need to emphasise on that...
We noticed.
Ok that is fair in my POV!. You made the time to meet and that person cannot respect that yeah. Unless there were in an accident or the bus was delayed by 2min. But some of the other stuff not ok. Plus the Art. 684 of the Civil Code and Art. 257f para 2 of the Code of Obligations are super vague in some places and are open to misuse (especially when it involves foreigners).
God bless you for this. It helps.
I like your videos, plz write if you know the online courses academy of learning German in Switzerland. Thanks
Found another one: tell a Swiss you mix different types of cheeses in your fondue!
omg, is it even legal??
Who is Roger Federer?
Do you want a fight?
i'm about to give up my neutrality
Must be a banker or a famous goat herder.
I think he is a watch maker.😁
a guy who's in every swiss commercial, I guess he's an actor or something
Tell the Swiss about Nazigeld, verdingkinder programme or eating cat and dog meat. Will make them hate you for sure.
Depends on the person. I will take these things as the facts that they are (btw didn't know about the cat and dog meat thing which led me to an interesting google rabbit hole). I guess you could make a patriot hate you.
Let me set a few things straight.
1. Nazigeld/Nazigold
We actually don't care which tyrants are stashing their dough in our banks. Money talks and it talks Swiss.
2. Verdingkinder
I have talked to a former Verdingbub. An old white man who actually was a child slave himself. Take that you whining woke blm snow flakes!
3. Eating cats and dogs
Back in the day it was our diet, today it's luxury watches. The chinese will copy just about anything from us. And copying is the highest form of praise.
😉
@@viciousqueen5096 Like, my grandmother tried cat meat. and honestly, I don't think the thing about cat meat is that bad. Like, of course not your pet cat, but like, wild cats. And yes, Nazigelder sucked. and the whole thing about the Jenischs too. But, like, I can't change the past. the only thing we can do is to make people aware of this stuff (like my local museum)
@@viciousqueen5096 many didnt and still dont know. 😂
Yes it’s horrifying! It’s still legal to eat your pet cats and dogs in Switzerland!! I love Switzerland but this is the worst law I’ve ever heard of!!
E gloube nid, dass mi d Emily dermit chönnt verärgere 😂
what is Switzerland? is it a car??
No. It is a watch.....loool.
😑
probably some company idk
Most of these things are not things that annoy us, they’re just traditions🤷🏼♂️
I agree. Seemed like cultural traits, and i can understand most of them. Like answering the phone with your name saves unnecessary talking.
Girl in the thumbnail is beautiful af
Not that much eh
Swiss don't exist. Extinct at Bibracte 58 BC. Today's Nation is a conglomerate of Alaman and Burgundy immigrants. We Langobards are an oppressed minority in the South
Stfu idiot
Watch video series "The Swiss Beast - Home of the Devil" in three parts.
That's...Stupid.
The swiss confederation was "founded" in 1291 AD.
The term swiss didn't even exsist in 58 BC.
If you are refering to the helvetic tribes, yes. Most Celtic tribes mixed if latin or germanic tribes.
Btw. the lombards migrated from the north of europe and were germanic they also replaced celtic tribes in the northern part of italy.
The people of ticino/grischun are not oppressed in any way they have the same right as every other swiss.
Italian is a national language and they have as all other cantons massive autonomy. Much more then most regions in europe.
@@Slithermotion Thank you for the overly serious answer to a light-hearted comment.
@@twiston43
Thank you for criticize my fact based comment but having no problem with the comment of conspiracy theory that claims that switzerland is the home of devil and pharaos ect.
And I don't think that you can take a comment who claims suppression of a minority as light-hearted but maybe we have different definitions.
Gopferstützli nonemau
what will I say? body language? or Phantomim?
I would ignore those stupid annoying things that bother them and just do things my way..and enjoy their shocked reations! And enjoy their irritations
Yeah it is very likely you would either face the following: massive stream of heavy fines or denouncement (which if you are there long term can really damage you for flat applications, applying for citizenship or social assistance etc.) in the least. Not sure if there would be a possibility of criminal charges.
Fuck integration and laws, am I right?
@@lesliea.6440 Swiss are not to be f*** woth!
Who is that roger guy?
Remind them that the reason they are rich is not because they are such great people with everything figured out, who work harder than everyone else - it's because they deal in dirty money with no questions asked. Take this out of the equation and the country will have just as many problems as France or Germany.
....their dirty little fingers....
What do you mean by dirty money?
Through their banking system their hide the money of dictators, terrorists, etc. Thus their indirectly support these activities. Being one of the biggest weapon manufacturers in the world, they also indirectly support wars. Not even talking about the Jewish gold they "received" during WWII.@@mattcvlh
Try mowing the lawn on sunday, or speak swissgerman like a german!
Be "Anoy" Swiss speak. 💂
Flush the klo at 3:45 a.m.?
Im pissed off now
Switzerland sounds more like Karenland.
Thats cause it is :)
My friends from other countries found this video and showed it to me. They said they're going to annoy me with those exact things
Just a question: Why should I do this towart swiss people that didn’t do anything wrong to me ? If it is a second degree video, I can accept it. But if it’s not, I don’t understand the meaning of this like they have a culture and we have ours so let them be. And sorry if I aven’t understand the video’s vibe well but it’s rude for me to see people acting like this towart others.
Yeah sorry to have write this cause it seems to be a funny video and everyone have take this with humor so I think that I didn’t understand the meaning of the video
@@Willineige yeah, it's just a humorous video. Most of the things mentioned in this video are stuff the Swiss make jokes about themselves (for example the whole Bünzli cliche) so for swiss people (like myself) I don't find it offending at all.
*THEY HAVE TO GO BACK*
Hahahaa xD ok, I just realised I'm a swiss fucking stereotype😳🤪😇
Jokes on you I am Swiss and I don’t get annoyed
When individuals consistently have their basic needs met and enjoy a secure life, they often find themselves creating seemingly nonsensical concepts, which they engage in and maintain as part of their cultural practices. This is not exclusive to any country.
You just described a typical Karen.
i’m swiss… disagree sorry
