My late uncle--Donald Scott Richard's, was involved in investigating this case. There is a book out called 'The CBS Murders'. Other than this case, when he was still with the FBI in CA, he was one of the agents on site when she was captured. I miss him talking about cases he was involved jn investigating.

I was 18 when this happened stikl living at home, these murders were all over the news & it was frieghtening....i still remember to this day & cn nv look away when i see videos abt it. 🙏🙏🙏😥💔 prayers for victims & their families!
The best voice ever to listen for this kind of stories 🔝
Superb narration and scripting, brilliant detective work.
*Excellent documentary very well done ✅*
Nice job done by FBI, beautiful documentary though toooo much repeating same staff by commentator.
I agree!
Donald Nash died in 2016, having served 34 years of his sentence for murder. Donald Nash is now serving the remainder of his sentence for eternity.
Thanks for uploading.
The guy doing the commentary should get an OSCAR. His voice is amazing, and very precise.
He is called anthony coll
YESS, HE'S THE BEST I LOVE TO HEAR HIS EXPLAINATIONS....
@@samuel.pitanapibbcfb
Great story teller
Those are the credentials why he got the job.
You telling me the Feds couldn't get into a van to read the VIN number?
In the seventies and eighties you could open a car door by looking mean at it.
I agree he is telling the events fantastic and just great his voice is awesome
😂😂😂😂
This was just fascinating and so well done--love heist movies and this was real. TY!
I've been addicted to this show😂 hope I don't go robbing 😂jk
😂😂😂😂
Same to me bro😂😂😂
F.B.I. VERY GOOD. YOUR POSSIBILITIES ARE LOGICAL.
You have to remember a few critical points with these investigations:
1. The Prosecution has to get their understanding and evidence to match without holes for the Defence to abuse wide open and smash the case out of court;
2. Huge pressure from the public and media;
3. If an Agent or Officer makes a serious enough error it can jeopardise the case and delay the investigation;
4. People are well connected and can disappear; &
5. Crime was rampant with the normal limited resources.
I agree...He made the call from the pay phone...
Amazing work
When New York realizes this doesn't happen when the good citizens have the gun, they will be doing alot better.
FBI: "you don't mess with our witnesses"
Um bro she's dead.
😂😂😂😂
1:31:21 it said Chin in the newspaper article. So much for changing her name.
The GREAT NARRATOR OF THE FBI FILLES !!!!!
Best of all times
I think i was supposed to become a law enforcement officer or a private investigator because i love love love watching these shows
This man REALLY needed to watch Forensic Files...
I love this episodes….you can tell right away that FBI agent was in very stressful environment….thanks got they solved…
He should have told the attendant that 3 people had been shot not used the slang word, hit to reach the police sooner. He could have also used his car to block the exit to prevent the van from leaving.
He JUST saw his colleagues get SHOT for interference, how much do you think he WANTED TO DIE?.... As for whatever he yelled didn't matter because the booth attendant stopped listening to people about 2 weeks after he started that job.😂😂
The parking attendent was high on crack at the time
The killer is nowhere to be found, thanks partly to the imbecile and good for nothing parking attendant.i hope he got fired.
🎉
🎉
Was very well done!
Horrendous! When is this going to end? It was bad then, it's worse even now.
I would like to know why do we feed this kind of criminals when they are guilty of so many murders
So the jailers, prosercutors, sherriffs do not starve the prisoner whilst in custody resulting in a murder. Whilst the prisoner is in lock-up, jail or custody he has not the capacity to feed him/her self as their access to food is controlled. Therefore if he was intentionally starved the act of starving him/her would be malice aforethought 1st degree murder. I believe the accussed has the right to jury trial and there fore a sentence of death can not be the personal choice of his jailers. So to avoid commiting murder the jailers are oblidged to act according the appointed Judges sentence. Just my opinion.
@@MikeGreenwood51 Should be executed upon conviction, not housed rent free and fed free meals.
Yup... They uthanise dog's who bite and kill their own kind..... Why not these? These are worse than dog's!
Because we are better than them as a society.
@@davidoconnell4100 I wish that were true. Because all I see is, if you can afford to do the crime, you get to walk or end up in a summer camp type “prison” for a few years.
Why did the FBI not put her in a safe place after her friend disappeared?
Exactly. They always want people to cooperate, but they never protect them. She should have been in witness protection as soon as the other lady went missing. Smh
Explains why most people won't get involved, an FBI is no safer than police!
She wasn't fully cooperating, just sending feelers
keep it up
That gatekeeper should be charged for neglect or fired.
Gatekeeper, awesome😂 he'd wish they would park their horses in the stables themselves and sheath their swords before asking permission to enter the castle....😂😂😂thanks for the laugh.
And to reluctant
Soooooooo the ONLY black person in the whole story is the lazy lot attendant.. well I guess it could be worse at least he's not the criminal or the first person to die😮😮😮😮😮
Was he bribed
Fsl
All he had to do was get rid of the van .
How so damned that this murderer and his boss were hardcores in the late 70' and early 80's era?
FBI did not give the protection the witness needed to stay alive.
I'm wondering what those CBS execs/employees were gonna do after work? Perhaps a highball? Did they have any weekend plans lined up? Go see a movie? Dinner? Later a highball?
Keep them coming. Thank you
Why didn’t they plant a BUG on the black van.
The real name of the two women who were killed was Jenny Soo Chin, and, Margaret Barbera.
Thanks, went on a googling spree. Very interesting.
These are fantastic
Great job on protecting her
Is there's no new fbi files to be watched? Keep watching the same ones over and over.
Its because commercials are edited out but on TV after the commercials it repeats information in case you just tuned in.
A smart, professional criminal. Astute, had been around.
And then he places a phone call from a phone located in the alley.
Where the body was dumped.
Apparently, he never watched or read crime movies or books.
Truly, this fantastic vídeo proves that life Imitates Fiction.
If "any murders that are committed with intent and premeditation are classified as a first degree", why was that hitman - by definition someone who kills with premeditation - convicted for second degree murder only ? Ideal scenario for a movie, but of course so sad for the victims and their relatives.
Omg. The police are speaking with informants in cars with light shining on their faces?!
It's a dramatisation.

The last employee should have used his car to block the parking exit then run and get help, because of his stupidity and cowardice he allowed the killer to get away with the poor woman!
right ✅️ I agreed 👍
I hope the parking garage attendant receives employee of the month!!!
A key witness, and not under witness protection.. Dereliction of duty ..
really good video Retold - Documentaries & Reconstructions. I smashed the thumbs up on your video. Keep up the superior work.
When the police were police
Crime is down. Police are doing their jobs. Idgaf what Fox News says
Very interesting
5:10 The most damn piece of information a police officer can report 🤷🤷🤷🤷
One way to make people like Nash talk is through third degree treatment no food water and causing bodily harm till they speak, when the going get tough the tough start talking .
This was pretty dam interesting, sad though
Great investigation
The guy at parking booth should be arrested for obstructing justice
Dude in the car at the parking garage should have jumped out taking his keys with him. He had the dude blocked.
200 IQ ☝
Good idea, right after he watched the guy shoot 3 other dudes and kidnap a woman. Yeah great idea to jump out of the car in front of him.
Yeah ? The 22. Had 2 shots left .
That one FBI agent looks a lot like Will Ferrell.
He's playing the role... 50 bucks well earned
The FBI agent brilliant ginus talented professionals dengerus fearless leader of the free world 🤣🙂🙂🤣 tank you FBI❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
No wire taps on his phone at home
Stalking is screwed up
This line though👇
You could walk past Nash on the street and coul not even know he was there. He never projected the feeling of a hard-nosed son of a gun.🤔
We should learn from this documentary, great story
Learn what?
1:24:40 so Nash finger prints were on Benson car door handle all along
And if Benson would have handed over the blue bag to FBI she would be enjoying a LATTI today.(just saying is all)
(10 min) "people very concerned about a soaring crime rate": little did they know what the future (now) holds for the crime rate!
Little did they choose to admit that the "soaring crime rate" is due to the government manipulation of data and targeting more individuals for failure to... submit... comply... obey
Not even close it was wild back then
Right, are we talking when Guliani cleaned up the city?
@@davidsardi835 RUclips comments are a cesspool of ignorance. It’s so much safer now but these people sit in their homes watching Fox News thinking they understand the world.
Nobody move nobody get hurt 🤕
The FBI went by the book back in the 80's, if they want to bust you they'll find something, like a broken tail light.
Different in the UK fortunately "routine check" no problems getting a VIN NUMBER
I believe police in any country have the right to randomly stop and check a person's license, insurance and registration.
8k cash couldn't even buy use tires.
Strangely, I heard no mentioning of the sentence for the lawyer who introduced the hit man to his client that caused the 4 murders.
Introducing someone is not a crime. Introducing someone as a hired gun for murder is. Lawyer can claim that Nash was a client of his who was looking for electrical and plumbing jobs to do, and that was the reason for the introduction. Upto the prosecution to prove otherwise. Also the lawyer testimony was the first proven link between Nash and marguilles and so it was very valuable to fbi, and it was contingent on lawyer not being prosexuted, so perhaps that was why they never pressed charges.
He got immunity.
Concern Noted ...
I only know from Holywood you always retrieve your brass,And here it's TRUE
I can not understand why the 2 guys just watch the gunner shot one of them instead of hitting the gunner. The 2 guys before they were killed while the gunner was shooting one of them the 2 guys should have tackled the gunner down. I cannot understand why 3 guys at close range were killed without fighting for their lives.
@urdujadelacueva3473 --- next time they will use your advice. Thank you for your years of services. Sending our thoughts and prayers.
If u ever been in there situation or any situation close or like this u will know why duummyyy. In situations like this ur brain freeze. No matter how quick of a reaction u have. That’s what they call a real situation and real brain freeze situation.
because not everyone can act so quickly if they were smart enough they wouldnt involve just writing the can number and run or hide and call the police if i was there i would like to punishment the garage keeper too
They were not hired hit men, they dont attack, they run, they were paralysed with shock, afraid if they attacked gunman he would shoot them. It happened in seconds. They were decent hardworking engineers and good samaritans who had no clue how to react in such a situation.
Ouch didn’t watch long enough before my big mouth sorry “.
How come the 3 mob bosses who were gunned down in a restaurant easily did not have mob guard?
If she was a witness why wasn’t she in witsec, they’re asking for that 🤦🏾♂️
It's voluntarily. The FBI can't make them...unless they arrest them first. That's different.
Blood diamond 2
do two Wongs make a right?
@20:19...didn't understand the significance of a woman's disappearance...that guy should not be in the fbi
What happened to Melissa tarver last I heard she was in CA somewhere working for a lawyer
How is it possible this guy was driving a stolen vehicle? And painted it with spray paint the man is not broke. He should have gotten a professional paint job and I doubt the vehicle was stolen. Someone's not telling a story right?
He kinda needed that van, he didn't have the time. Besides he just wanted to not to be silver so he could get out of the city.
people who is almost stuck with cheap things can be like the whole about those almost
theirs no a perfect crime,that's a lesson!
A perfect crime wouldn't be on display for you to see but in the underworld you definitely would be surprised if you didn't know.
Perfect crime is all of robberies made by of Pink Panthers robbers. Still not caught and f caught escaped from prison the 3 of them and still out and about with like 800 million in diamonds. Check Smash and Grab Pink Panthers story. The group of Balkans and Yugoslavians.
They said they didn't have enough information to arrest Nash. Jesus, he made a phone call from a frigging pay phone, with a credit card in his name, next to where they found the victims body. WTF?
Fantastic
Those were different times, the law is forever catching up. Technology etc change in societal morals all keep revolving. Most laws are still antiquated and yes keep getting addendums. Before hand if two people commit a crime and one decides to kill someone during that crime used to be dealt with separately. No longer happening.
Rico cases came actually up during the 70 ties and 80ties it was initially used to go after the Mafia. Eventhough the law had been in place for decades remember Hoffa? Now they apply it everywhere especially if there is a buck to be made and looks good on tv. Could go on😊
Can you prove the person using the pay phone threw the body there or saw the body and never reported it? He would say body was disposed of after he made the call and had long left the area. There was no cctv to show when body was disposed of at the spot.
I’m confused, after Nash painted his van black, he dumped it at the airport and had his nephew come pick him up. ? Then the police stopped his van at a rest stop. I thought his van was dumped at the airport.
He went back and got it at some point apparently , it's actually a common practice for criminals to dump vehicle in long-term parking spaces n wait for the search to cool off then return to get it
He never left the van behind. It was his only vehicle. Yes he got in with his cousin but he went back when they went seperate ways.
Do a shoddy paint job on a van full of murder evidence and drive to different states! Brilliant!
another incredible stupidity of cops and FBI--all they had to do was take paint samples and test them to see the different layers of color to help ID the van.
This video would have been better without adds
Dramatic narrator !
He have that Liam Neeson Sound 😅👌🏻
Karma always works.
Shouldn't the FBI have been somehow protecting the two women, especially after a prosecutor told Margolis that two of his employees could testify against him?!
So instead of torching the van with all the evidence in it, he paints it black and calls it clean to go on holiday in.This man was an idiot. Why didn't the guy just get m to Rob m, then torch the building the following few days.!! No one dies.
True you paint the van big deal
Handyman ..... GOOD cover ...... Good luck to the real Handymen out there..???????
He is trying to take time to make people like waiting for action.😢😢😢😢
Why didn't he ditched the van?
He dumb and it's the only vehicle he had. 😕
Nash worked as handyman,,,, wow....he was very handy. No job to small dirty.
Les gouts et couleurs ne se dicute pas mais se respecte regle d'or respect a.u.b
The narration is great but the visuals are too shaky to watch.
It's very good effort to explain in re-shoot,,I think licensed weapon must be allow to everyone in order to protect yourself and obviously criminal will scare of it ,,chance of retaliation
Had him at the road block.. One man
Saw this story on "Law and Order", lenny and forget his partner cornered the killer on a train to Quebec, Canada. Think it was mob orientated. Great episode.
L&O sucks
Quebec I hope he spoke french
I believe Montreal is Gambino territory
Why does/do one or two people think they are smarter than police with multiple ways as DNA prints computers and so on.
Canadian biker wars I think mentions that.
It wasn't a diamond heist
