30 secs in I believe that might be the fire suppression system going off
the commentator said the Fire extinguisher went of
Obvious by the foam..
"I swear baby, it's never happened before"
@@curledone7947 He did - in Dutch.
Luckily, my Dutch skills are already good enough.
Greetings from Germany!!
@IWrocker 3:20min is near where I live in Northern Italy (Piedmont, near Orta's Lake). This rally stage is called "Prelo" and it is famous for this bottleneck. You can search on RUclips for "Rally del rubinetto Prelo" or also "Rally del rubinetto strettoia". If You want to see an onboard video I can recommend you this: "Camera car Miele - Mometti Rally del rubinetto 2018 - PS2 Prelo"
I think 6:00 is 2016 Poland.
There is a video of that very car getting fixed in 30 minutes called "WRC 73 Rally Poland 2016"
Absolutely impressive.
Thank you for that tip, just watched it all, amazed by the teamwork and skill those guys have.
Looks like more people thought so, that clip has 37M views!
That camera man jumping off his tower killed me! What a mad lad! 🤣
I'm glad he was okay!
5:06 - lol. I remember this clip.
The woman screaming like someone’s died over such a slow and soft crash is hilarious.
I wouldn't like to be next to that lad if she spectates a bigger crash, woud blow my ears out! hahahahaha
0:30 looks like the fire suppression system failed
true, in dutch thats what is said
7:48 It's very common in many international race series, that the suspension around the tyres must be attached with chains.
For instance, there have been fatalities amongst spectators in the past, in Formula 1, when a wheel came off.
The 3rd vid is Rallycross, please check out the World RX series
3:42 that's just what roads in some ancient towns (I assume this is Italy) look like, so you've got to squeeze through there somehow...
Normaly not many signs there either, so you have to "negotiate" who goes through from what side first. Except when the roads are closed off for a rally of course.
I drove my peugeot 107 (really small car) through the old city of Pisa once and took a wrong turn. The walls kept getting closer and closer on both sides up until I had to stop and back the whole thing up again, because the car just physically would not fit through.
I guess that's what happens if the road was originally built over 1000 years ago when noone had cars in mind or even rallies...
Yeah pretty sure it is Italy
i swear city streets in Italy are dedigned exlusively for the old fiat 500
Yes, it is in Italy, read my comment, it's near where I live 😁
Just a little note: Rally is ALWAYS against the clock, those track cars are NOT rallying.
But you definitely can have a rally car bump onto another if the one in front somehow lost so much time that the one behind caught up with it.
You can also have a rally special stage running on some track-like course, but it will still be against the clock, NOT several cars at once.
And then you have Rallycross, where cars do race against each other, but the track is never perfect asphalt; it's usually mostly dirt or mud.
Those track cars just look like rally cars, but the whole event is actually more like Touring or Nascar - only with much less powerful cars.
They start in a 2min delay. If one catches the other is normaly due to a problem. You don't loose so much time,'cause you won't be there otherwise
@@lebix69 That's actually 1 minute interval between starts. Also, in cases when you have a round course stage, where you make several laps (2 or 3) before exiting the stage, so you can very well get released in close proximity to other cars still running the roundcourse on their 2nd or 3rd lap.
@@henkverzeijl1525 No way.I don't know for the other races, but in WRC is 2min.Man,I've been to rallies and the only way to have a clue how good they're going,'till the point you are on a stage, you control with 2min periods. Now there are smartphones and internet, but there were racing before that and that is how you could have an idea.I bet my ass on this.
@@lebix69 2 minute starting intervals might be the standard for just WRC rallies, i wouldn't know. Being a mechanic in my dads' service crew, i have (only) attended many European, national and regional level, both modern and historic events for the past 25 years, and they definitely use 1 min as standard, and even 30 sec starting intervals sometimes, with up to 15 cars or even more on stage on a round course at any given time, each of them in their own battle against the clock of course. And those events are still all governed by the same set of FIA regulations aswell, so the rules do allow some variation on the starting intervals.
I have seen many (and some very) close calls with dangerous start releases on round course stages with my own eyes, so i know for a fact that a 2 minute interval is anything but common on events other than WRC rallies, and it's honestly really common to see cars on the course in close proximity to each other.
But don't worry man, i'll let you keep your ass even though you would have lost it betting 😜
@@henkverzeijl1525 ok.I see.You know about racing a lot.I said it,that it was for WRC,'cause the video was showing WRC.Thx for keeping my ass thou.Salute from sLOVEnia😉👌
Love watching these rally videos and watching your reactions to them, such an infectious laugh makes me laugh even more at these crazy rally guys
7:45 That is a cable holding the wheel attached. In some accident cases the wheels have come off and flown into the stands. That cable keeps the wheel attached atleast a bit
I used to go to rallies with my gramps every year and once saw a Mitsubishi Colt with BOTH rear wheels folded back like the car at 5:50 and it was still going too lmao! I also still own a piece of a rim from a Mitsubishi Lancer that crashed. I have such fond memories of rally events around here.

bonnet one is not 1st time when it happened.
1st time was timo mäkinen and his mini cooper S in -67 Ouninpohja, finland
short story:
Engine was overheating and they tried to left the bonnet little open by tying it with a strong leather belt. However, at the middle of Ouninpohja stage the leather belt broke down and so he drove with the bonnet open the latter half of the stage. They had pacenotes, but the co-driver tells that the Timo was so familiar with the road that the notes were not used. Co-driver Pekka Keskitalo suggested, that he would close the bonnet, but Timo just used "some of the finest words" from Finish vocabulary and kicked the throttle! Timo just tried to look at side window when his Mini was going sideways to see what's ahead. They finished with 3rd fastest time!
9:43 Talk about a missed opportunity, "Holy Cow".
What a top video Ian. Your mood is infectious you had me going as well, great reaction 👍🏼🇦🇺.
at 7:57, they are "cape baron geese" and the track is phillip island in victoria, australia. I was racing there one meeting, and about 6 of them were just chilling on an apex. haha. they are solid things, that would wreck racecars if you hit them. haha
What series's was it/that race?
@@datwistyman it was hyundai excels. one of the other racing clips reacted to on this channel has me commentating on it. haha
@@killawombat75 there is an FG falcon and a Subaru Impreza WRX that dodge the geese after the first car that is probably a Renault.
Would it be improved production series's?
@@datwistyman ahh. sorry. lol. misunderstood your question. that would have been production cars. like that of the 6hr
That 2nd clip his fire extinguisher system went off xD
4:40 the funny thing is that "this guy" is Petter Solberg, WRC World Champion and 2 times rallycross world champion
I also remember a clip of a dog running o' a rally track, but because of a bump the car takes a jump before running into the dog and jumps just above it.
That was very impressive, lucky doggo
I believe the cable attached to the wheel is supposed to stop the wheel flying off possibly into the grandstand or pits. Because people have been killed by flying wheels. Not sure how successful it was though because I don't see it anymore.
yeah, that was a wheel tether... you don't see them because wheels don't go flying that far, but they are still there in many sanctioned racing series across the spectrum. Even up to F1.
7:56 The drivers probably had some goose bumps here.
I did laugh tears, not only the video is funny it's also your reaction to it and your comments. great content, I did subscribe.
1:14 correct me if I'm wrong but dude did not spill one drop of beer. LMAO
8:10 TrackMania guy told it "BugSlide"
And then rally driver got this run
Some of those were Rallycross races. Those drivers can sure get their cars all out of shape in a pack and still hold it together .
That was very entertaining man. Love your channel. Always looking for your new vids.
0:31 after hitting a bump his FPE went off lmfao
The cow at the end, I wish I could speak cow😂
Love your videos Ian, great stuff
👍
I remember that outside backwards overtake, and the race commentators must have replayed it 4 times in a row ! Has to be the greatest of ALL TIME !!
Loving your channel, great range of vehicles.
The Aussie Racers series is awesome. Little pocket rockets, Yamaha motorcycle engine (1300cc) Symmons Plains in Tasmania a few years ago in the wet. Bathurst had a big crash a few years ago. Gold Coast had a bunch over the years.
commentary was awesome, that hot exhaust slayed me
You should take a look at the video of the mechanics fixing the 6:20 car ! Don’t remember how quick it was but it was damn impressive
Édit : search for « Stephane Lefevre damaged Citroën » they get it up and running in 30minutes 🤯
Yes, you hawe to see this.
Man I agree. That video is mesmerizing to watch
The mechanics had practiced with Kris Meek in Argentina
Wanted to write the same thing. Those mechanics are one step away from being magicians. Amazing teamwork.
Very good again, love your enthusiasm
6:45 - that's what the co-driver is for, right? 🤣🤣🤣
Also, that dude dodging the tree at 9:08 - how big does your set have to be to see that tree coming right at your door and you stay on it full throttle?
Yes, I know that keeping the accelerator down is indeed what got him out of the way of the tree, but the brake is also a viable option to not hit it and I think most of us would have made that choice.
Dude i love your rally videos, discovered you because of them and constantly clicking, always happy for a new one!!! You know what would be awsome too, if you wopuld react to some nürburgring videos like the record in the 919 Evo oder the old Ruf CTR Yellowbird Video or Touristenfahrten. I would love to see your opinion about the green hell since im from germany. Keep it up man defo got a new sub here.
My favorite is a video of a car just so slightly clipping the curb as it's going around the corner and then falling wheels up into a ditch.
If it still moves, you're still in. If you can make it back to the service area the mechanics might just be able to patch it up in the hour that they have
0:27 fire extinguisher went off.
3:45 the small street is probably in italy
rally is almost always on public roads hence why they have license plates
checked it its in italy
rally del rubinetto ruclips.net/video/bZhXoFPYCwI/видео.html
"Stance Nation Dawg" 🤣
thanks, I didn't notice the music until you mentioned it and now I can't hear it. Good one lol
Mostly Rallycross so far, always carnage in that. Rally de Portugal starts tonight btw dude.
Love your videos!
at 0:25 that was a fire extinguisher that popped. I heard the Dutch commentary say so.
This 1 was damn funny Ian. Please keep these videos coming mate. 1 type of racing you may want to check out is rally cross.
0:27, that's the fire extinguisher...
3:40 it is WRC Rally Sardinia (Italy). Yes, it is a rally stage 😀
8:04
That is Rallycross, it's like rally but on steroids. In the top class, the cars are insane, the races are insane.
Those rear hatch doors are friggin heavy too. At least 50 pounds, probably more
Couple weeks ago I hooked up my 360 to play the Saints Row original games on the hard drive, I also found a couple Dirt games downloaded from about 2012 that I've never tried, I'm now addicted to Dirt Challenge, the 8 Ball tracks and smash derbys are sooooo addictive.
Watching you enjoy these videos and your reactions is as much fun as the videos !!
At 6:18, if you look around the internet, I cannot remember the name of the video, but it's the full pit stop of that car and how they basically fixed it fully and made it look like new within just 30 mins or so. People talk about F1 and NASCAR pit stops. They have nothing on rally stops between stages.
I love seeing those rallycross clips. The tirewall and the red and white Ford. You should react more on that 😀 espessially the Petter Solberg races. Crazy races and vert exiting 😃
0:28 was just the fire extinguisher going of. No worries.
In Europe, especially in Greece we have hillclimb races (like pikes peak) you should check "anavasi portarias", "anavasi kimis", "anavasi ritsonas"
I remember Seb Loeb getting a flat tyre half way through the Mexican rally. On one of the stages the wheel breaks free.
He limps to the end of the stage.
Needing to get the car back to service he drives along on 3 wheels with his co-driver hanging out of the window, counter balancing the car until the Mexican police pull him over.
I can't remember if the police allowed them to carry on.
8:15 I pull that outside drift around tight corners to pass in Dirt games, it doesn't always work and I usually end up facing the opposite direction or spinning in a circle like an idiot, but when it does work it's worth watching the replay and having a toke.
A lot of Aussies I know would say the exhaust on the track is heavy, instead of hot.
6:17 rally drivers will do whatever it takes to get across that finish line cause the penalties for abandoning a stage are usually pretty severe.
Ok, this made my day. I laughed so my cheeks hurt! 😆
That was awesome 🤣👏🏽
@6:00 he is still going, cause he has to, if the car has to be recovered via rescue vehicles you are out you no longer get to participate in that rally. meaning hes loosing a lot of points. if he gets it back to the pit and they can repair it in 30 minutes or less they stay in the rally and can go into the next section
Re 3:52. You’ve heard about a hand brakes, this was his foot/feet brake.👍
I've been trying to place your accent. From your 'r' I was waffling between Wisconsin and the U.P. ... And then you said "geez!"
Yep. That nails it down. Wisconsin. ;) (me too)
Those narrow in old city shots is from some italian / sicilian rally I think.. they are for real anyway. Very narrow roads in a city :)
Yeah Italy/Spain Rallies commonly go through the little villages in the countrysides
I remember watching the full clip of that section, not many drivers made it clean and some even blocked it
3:33 if you talk abuot this section, the event is called Rally del Rubinetto in Novara province, Piemonte region. Sorry for my English
The beetle with the wheel on a wire. The wheels are secondary secured so they don't come off and bounce into the crowd
Rallies have special stages that are sometimes in city streets or all tarmac roads or at night even. So yes that is a rally in some small european village.
Cameraman: understandable, have a nice day
9:20 Looks like "Colins Crest" at the Swedish Rally, where they measure the length of the jump, just because it´s fun. It started with Colin Mcrae who always went full blast everywhere, which the audience loved, but sadly made him loose a couple of championships because of crashes.
Those rally guys ball size are in a whole different class lol , always exciting to watch on the telly , probably a tad dangerous to be a spectator at the event .
6:05 Look for "WRC 73 Rally Poland 2016 - 30 min Service of Stephane Lefebvre damaged Citroen WRC", incredible video of Citroen crew fixing that car in 30min.
Hey Boss have you reacted to a video named " 2016 Subaru WRX STI Isle of Man TT -- Flat Out " ?
Did you see the record price of 1.2 mil for a Dodge Daytona .. Everyone out checking their barns as we speak 😂😂😂
Ur right about the music big fella..... all good tho 🤣
I've been that camera man at 6:57 honestly my favorite days are the ones where I play dodge car
Cow at the end said Mooooov
Thanks mate! Great reaction! There is actually a WRC-rally going on right now which you can watch live here😀😁😃😎. If you do not have it on tv!!
U kinda look like the drunk bus driver from grown ups 2 :D Much love
7:47 is a tether in circuit racing most rules state cars must have these so if wheel comes off it stays attached to the car and dont get launched into the crowd of spectators
That Redbull car almost made another red bull 💀 🪦
3:40 This Is a proper rally, it's called Rally del Rubinetto held in northern Italy.
From 6:45 on, all i20 rally drivers chose to drive with their hood up because the cornering speeds went way up.
2:38 fwd cars with lsd sometimes struggles in that kind of turns, the lsd helps a lot in traction and turn in , but you have to be very accurate with the steering wheel
9:47 Holy crap -> Holy cow.
I cant believe they didnt add that famous footage of a 911 gt3 climbing to te roof of another 911 gt3. To me the most wtf moment of motorsport ever
If you can, do a rally crash video! This was fun! 😊
3:22 This is Rally Del Rubinetto in Italy
This was Rally, rallycross and some touringcar series.
Rallycross are on tracks with cars that have much more power.
A WRC car has about 380 bhp, a rallycross car has about 600bhp.
But the cars look a lot like the WRC cars.
Nice video though.
Minute 3:35 that's rally inside a city, maybe a so called super special, usually gives no extra ponts but it's there for fan entusiasm...
I thought those geese looked familiar.. Yep wildlife on the Aussie race tracks again..
Rally sometimes has special stages. Tarmac, sprint circuit, gymkhana etc.
An accordion effect 🤣🤣🤣
That camera man though :)
Hi Ian there is a show called Out Back and Under its about an American girl and her dog its good watching.Cheers.
06:00 In a rally they need to finish to get to the next stage
No2. The fire extinguisher decided to let go.
