ive missed you and your fabulous videos.Heading over to the Taperology site through your link now. i'm in Southern California in the USA. i'm in the Merry Christmas camp myself...and unashamed - while allowing others to celebrate or not, in their own way. thank you for being so real Nina. Love your work!
Hello dear nina...so good to see you again...hope you are doing fine . A christmas card, can you imagine we are heading for that time of the year...I have just finished my two months of being a guest in the galerie and it has been a great experience, the reactions were so sweet and supportive. It was really nice to see you creating again and I look forward to the next ones.❤ and kisses lenaxxx
Hello dear Lena. I’m so glad you were received well in the gallery. That’s wonderful to hear. Where has this year gone! Will be in touch soon. Sending love and a big hug ❤️ xxxx
I love all the rubons, they are lovely. Your card is beautiful and enjoyed watching you make it. I am looking forward to the next video in the series. Thanks Nina♥♥
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create this stunningly beautiful and uniquely gorgeous card. I would keep something like that forever!!!!!!!! It’s just perfect!!!!!! And so special too. And I don’t think 🤔 anyone should feel guilty about celebrating Christmas and using the holiday as we have always done, and definitely not ever being shamed of it. You know what they say “when in Rome do as the Romans do “. And I think that is what everyone should understand about Christmas. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am so excited about this series! I saw the Christmas rub-ons on Pinterest and ordered them. They came so quickly, so I am ready to craft along. Already I have learned so much, such as you can layer them and the glue stick trick with the linen. Thank you, Nina. This is just what I need to kick-start my holiday making.
Hello Nina, Thank you for sharing this lovely holiday card. You have shown me a new way to use my rub- ons. I will have to pull out my rub-ons and create some cards with them.
Super box of Christmas goodies, the card is beautiful. Tacky rub ons, that's the difference I wondered, my rub ons are stubborn. Thank you so much, good tutorial with fabby tips as always ✨✨✨
Thank you so much for sharing! I always love your videos! AND Yes..Merry Christmas is what I love to say as well..since it is all about the birth of Christ!
I work at our University with a lot of international students and faculty. So for my family and friends I say Merry Christmas, but for those who do not celebrate Christmas I with them Happy Holidays. Warm regards from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦
Wowser, comes to mind, Nina. This card is absolutely gorgeous. Those rubons and your idea for this is unbelievable. I need to invest. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, Lovely Lass, there is no shame in being honest. Also, as an ex-music teacher, the crotchet you mentioned is a quaver!! Don't want to sound like a know all!! Well done on your perfect card.x
What a fabulous unboxing! Your card is stunning and creates such a festive vibe! Love it! TFS. ❤ i wouldn't be surprised if the recipient framed it!!!❤
What a beautiful card Nina, I have some of the same rub ons so guess what I’ll be making 😂 Yes we are a Christian country and certainly shouldn’t be ashamed to admit it! It’s a shame that people seem to forget that fact !!! (off my soap box now) ❤
Good Morning Nina, It is 7:08 am on Sunday a neighbor awakened me at 6am to ask me if I went to a yard sale yesterday. 😢 On Sundays I do not wake up until 9am to eat, get ready for church, go pick up my Dad for church, then go for lunch with him, take him on errands and then home by 3. But, once I am awakened it's very difficult for me to still rest so I go to RUclips. I was delighted to see you have posted about Taperlogy Christmas themes. I have been itching to buy a packet as I have many of their floral ones and bird once. I have many of the same wood cut outs also. I loved how you rubbed them on fabric which is much nicer than just on paper. And I would never send such a beautiful card it would have to be hand delivered or inside a present and sent. I never write Xmas I always write the full word Christmas. Without Christ we would not have Christmas. Being a country based on Christian principals (at least how we started out) I to say Merry Christmas and I drop seeds in His name where ever I go. Yesterday I went to a craft fair in a very old English Tudor built home and there was one crafter there with his lithograph Christmas cards. His plates dated back to the 1800s. I bought one card I want to buy a pretty frame for. It was of a red bird sitting on a branch with snow falling. I saw the card and thought of my Mom. The card was too expensive but given how it was made that's where the price comes from. The artist was in his 70s and he was so happy I asked how the print was made. In the other room was a very high priced jewelry maker but I have been in search for earrings to match the bracelet I made that I was wearing. I haven't been able to get more of the glass beads. I told her I will wear the earrings on Sunday as my Mom and I always used new items first on Sunday as a thank you to God for all we have. I started making my own seals wax free to save money as my flat in February is having the largest increase so far. I have a Merry Christmas stamp (round metal) with a holly and berries. I make a puddle on wax paper or parchment paper with my glue gun. I wait only about 5 seconds and then I firmly press my seal into the glue and lift right away and then let it fully set up and dry. While it's stuck on the paper I take a fine tip non bleed markers and color in the holly and berries and add colors to the Merry Christmas and color in the background in a gold marker. Then gently I lift off the seal. To reseal the seal onto the back of the envelope or in the left lower corner on the front of the envelope I use clear school glue (Elmer's). They come out beautiful. I think next week after my rent is paid I will order a Christmas packet from Taperlogy. I have coupons from them online. I hope your feeling well and your family is well also. Blessings and Love, Rebekah If I succeed at making a beautiful Christmas card I will post it on Instagram and give you a shout out.
Hello Rebekah. Sorry it’s taken me a few days to reply. Oh my goodness, I wouldn’t have been very happy being woken up at that time either! I have had so much fun during this mini series. I am obsessed! The Christmas designs are all beautiful and I think you will like them very much. Do two me on Instagram if you make a card. I will keep a look out. The card design you chose from the craft fair sounds wonderful. I bet it is a very time consuming process. I love good craft fair with professional makes. Unfortunately we don’t have too many here. I have had a go at making wax seals with hot glue and they turned out very well. I pressed tiny dried flowers into mine and they were very pretty. Anyway, wishing you a wonderful weekend. Much love, Nina ❤️
Fabulous Nina! I have found that when you are rubbing the design, the paper your rubbing changes color meaning it gets a waxy look so you know your picture is placing down on your design! Merry Christmas!! ❤🎄
I loved watching you make this Nina it turned out gorgeous, and it, as you said, looks like the victorian style cards. I also have just popped an order in thanks for the discount code . Looking forward to your other makes in this series. Xx
