@@scottmcclary594 no, in the episode, "Night Shift" (I believe it was this episode), Nosferatu makes a guest appearance. Basically spongebob and squidward believe the Krusty Krab is haunted. They experience light flickering, mold and grime, and a strange figure stalking them. It turns out that all of the hauntings have logical explanations- until they ask who was flickering the lights. Then it reveals the scene of nosferatu in the doorway (cut out of the actual movie), but drawn with a light switch that he is flickering. They just laugh it off and nosferatu joins in. It is very hard to explain. Just look up 'Spongebob Nosferatu Scene'
Hey Robo. You can use one of the extra heads and prop it inside the coffin for that peeking display option. This way you’ll have the figure on display and and the coffin too. I love your reviews. Always. You rock.
Great review as always, bet you had fun making all those various monster noises during the head swaps (I have to admit though it's a shame you didn't have a Mezco Blade to compare him with). Fun fact: I was watching the Christopher Lee Dracula film for the 1000th time last night and it reminded me that despite the concept of the vampire having existed for centuries across various cultures in some form, it wasn't until the 1922 Nosferatu film that the idea of sunlight killing vampires was introduced, in Bram Stoker's Dracula novel he walks around the streets of London during the day, so the idea of sunlight being the definitive weakness in most modern interpretations is an idea that came from a film and has no basis in folklore, that's pretty crazy.
I really like this figure. I've got the original silent screamer figure with limited articulation but , when you take it outside in the sun, the skin turns black like its being burned by the sun. I've only done it once so I don't know if it still will or not. Its been in the display stand it came with for damn near 20 years. But I'm glad to see this figure being done right. Cool review.
OK so first off the beginning silent film recreation was freaking hilarious (and very, very well done!) Then I literally almost spit my drink out all over my keyboard when you named the one rat "Ralphie", I don't know why but that had me cracking up! Awesome review!
There's legitimately nothing scarier than a gotdang hamburger man with giant cartoon firearms. It's like a deleted scene from IT. ...oh, yeah, Orlock! This is such a great recreation, holy crap!
I think Max Schrek and F.W. Murnau would be very proud knowing his characterization still captures peoples' imagination after 100 years. Other companies are also making figures.
I wonder if this is going to lead to redoing more Silent Screamers. I wasn't able to get this one, but if they make Maria, I may have to go in on that one... Possibly the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari characters as well.
In 2000-2001 Sideshow toys put out a movie accurate (1922 actor Max Schreck) likeness in a 12" figure The Vampyre (Nosferatu) , it's a great figure ,that came in color, or black & white versions. Weirdly, they came out about a year after the original Mezco Silent Screamers - ﹰNosferatu action figure came out , the very figure you are reviewing here is based off of that earlier Mezco figure from 2000, and except that it is larger, and has real cloth clothes, it looks just like the original figure. Great job, love this item, and love that movie, classic stuff. Bob.G
On the last fwoosh weekly I asked how to get the fishstick action figure on amazon because its wouldn’t show up so he sent replied and the link was there
Like what you said i didnt know i needed a nasferatu figure, but after seeing him and seeing the coffin it was a must im a horror fan and a mezco 0ne 12 fan so i couldnt skip this one
Besides the original film, there's a great version Werner Herzog made with Klaus Kinski, plus he's sort of in Salem's Lot, and the Shadow of the Vampire with Willem Dafoe as The Count. Can't wait for mine to get here...at the end of the year, since I didn't get the early bird.
When the pre order dropped I felt like I didn’t need it. Now seeing everyone’s pictures it’s exactly how you said, I’m disappointed in myself for not getting it lol. Such a great figure!
Wow great opening, thanks Robo! You know we REALLY need Seahag from Popeye as a companion to the Count and goodness my fingers are crossed that Mezco revist the beautiful Gynoid, false Maria from Metroplolis and Francis from Caligari.
Great review.. such an awesome figure. And I missed it.. so I’m on waitlist. U think I should be patient and wait. Caus some ppl might cancel.. Caus these scalpers are killing me with their prices😩
I love your reviews! Great production value with the opening shots. Could you put a small shelf at the top of the coffin to place one of the alternate heads on so you could still display it upright, but not have Nos’ full body inside?
Other than Nosferatu there was Shadow of The Vampire , which was a movie on making of the movie Nosferatu using a real vampire. The figure is cool and I didn’t see anyone mention that his face/head looks like a rat on this figure.
Between this and the NECA shape of water Fishman, I kinda wanna build a weird elseworlds esque universal monsters group. Does that mean I have to find the actual Frankenstein monster mezco
That's a beautiful figure! I had never bought a Mezco figure, just wasn't a big fan of any of the particular superhero characters they made, but I have the Harley Quinn on preorder, so it will be interesting to see first-hand the level of quality. I'm expecting something a bit like a HotToy, but that you can play with rather than just sit it on a shelf.
You should also check out "Shadow of the Vampire;" WIllem Dafoe plays Nosferatu. From Wikipedia: "Shadow of the Vampire is a 2000 metafiction horror film directed by E. Elias Merhige, written by Steven Katz, and starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe. The film is a fictionalized documentary account of the making of the classic vampire film Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens, directed by F. W. Murnau, during which the film crew began to have disturbing suspicions about their lead actor."
Hi guys, one question. Better this Nosferatu or the one just released, always Mezco, Nosferatu Simphony of Terror? I was lucky enough to take the latter and I must say that it is creepier, meaner, with those bloodshot red eyes.
Love that figure might have to get one also me being young & seeing half of the 1922 Nosferatu movie I actually enjoyed what I got to see it's plus I love the original Frankenstein movie & bride of Frankenstein
I freaking LOVE this figure (especially since I was able to pick it up after it initially sold out). But...sorry...doesn’t the head sculpt have a distinctive Rudy Giuliani vibe to it?
I would like to see a accurate movie orlock. I think neca should do one, I mean they did the cartoony one so why not give us a full articulated accurate figure. Imagine them giving their one a lamp too that lights up. And I'm surprised you didnt have gus in the coffin at the start😂.
Robo, i hope you read this, i have an idea for your next playday, if you have the Mcfarlene fortnite Werewolf and Marvel legends Sabertooth hands and The Captain America Onslaught wave, if you paint the legs you can make a Capwolf custom
Now he just needs a super articulated spongebob and squidward to go with!!
Lemonchino Reviews And the Hash Slinging Slasher
I knew I wasn’t the only one thinking this.
Why... did Nickelodeon digitally insert a spongebob episode into the original silent movie?!
But seriously, I'd totally take a Mezco Man-Ray

Cool to see a Mr burns action figure! XD
alessandro signore nah he’s too young to be Mr Burns
I thought Gus would've been in the coffin, passed out. lol
He was, haha, but I needed something with a little more edge.
This is legitimately one of the coolest figures I've ever seen
Guess we should’ve seen this coming from the shirt in the last video.

It was in a book and a movie I think and the mouse road a windup motorcycle
Great review Robo! Creepy as hell figure. Should’ve put em next to Blade for comparison...

I have no connection to the movie but this is a beautiful figure.
Saw you wearing the t-shirt the other day and was waiting for this!
Your Creature From the Black Lagoon choice was superb.
Beautiful intro short movie!!!
It looks like Maynard James Keenan, and I cant unsee it.😂😂😂
Neca should release a kurt Barlow Vampire figure from Salem’s lot, that would be unreal.
I would like to see some ACBA with this figure and Blade.
Thanks for the awesome review robo!
Definitely will get one of those ! Great review, Thanks

I left a like just for the intro! That was awesome. Also the fade into colour was nice.
Seeing this Mezco makes me realize I would like a Baron Zemo from Mezco.
Ah imagine that fun.
But anyhoot. Noice review. Enjoyable. Educational. 👉
Where did you find the the base with the stone wall that you're using for this figure? It looks great !!
What a nice intro, that Nosferatu figure makes me want to see the movie
yeah me too but I don't know if that is possible
Thanks for that link fwoosh I just ordered it a few days ago appreciate it
The link to fish stick of course
Which link?

I wish Kinski's Nosferatu would get a little more representation in the world of collectable figures. Maybe the actor's reputation is to blame.
I'd buy a Don Lope de Aguirre fosho.
@@petercooper9791 With extra swappable tantrum portrait of course.
And a dozen monkeys.
Werewolf sure looks funny there.
Oooh, I love those big bottomless black eyes. Now I gotta try to get this somewhere second hand.
Damn, this looked so goofy terrible in the Mezco pics. Now I'm jonesing for the thing.
Your reviews are the best!
I love the intro

*Nosferatu has been caught on camera, stay indoors... REALLY*
God I hope your joking

Damnit mezco now i need this and a Van Hellsing or some sort of monster hunter
Creature from the black lagoon?? 🤣🤣🤣 Love your reviews man

I hope that Mezco makes a Universal Monsters line. I’d love to see a Dracula or a Frankenstein’s Monsters
They already did Frankenstein’s monster, three versions.
I slept on Bends, but couldn’t let this one go
I like how he called chewbacca werewolf lol.
I'd probably have a hard time sleeping if I have that on my shelf. LOL
