On the Sentra because the brakes are not the best it isn’t releasing the shift lock
I agree. If the brakes are having a serious enough problem to throw a code and make the car potentially dangerous to drive, they will probably not allow the park interlock to release.
Bro that thumbnail is awesome Randy.
Key won't come out won't go in drive and sketchy brakes probably the brake switch that makes when you put your foot on the brakes.
Always a good day when you upload.
Beutiful update on thumbnails Randy, I love it!
Love watching all the loder low $$ cars an truck
To quote Beavis, "Fireeeee Fireeeeeee!"
3.6 engines have a known issue with the oil coolers leaking I bet that's what it is
Another banger for the man the myth great vids can't wait wait see what you do with all these cars
The AC random shutting off and coming back on in the Durango, is due to an extremely common problem of bad blend door actuators and or the gears.
yep...ask me how i learned about that problem. lol
@beans301 probably the same way I learned about it 😆
Thanks for the video, Randy.
I can’t lie those new thumbnails are pretty awesome almost looks like it’s a comic book/movie makes everything more epic even though it’s just another walk around video
Always looking forward to watching your channel 🙏😇
The power steering oil cooler is integrated into the air conditioning condenser, they suffer from this fault, an oil leak regularly starts, the same thing happened to my 2015 Dodge Durango in autozone it cost me $169.00 with a lifetime guarantee and it's easy to change myself I did
Durango oil leak is more then likely oil cooler. Pretty easy fix.
that was another great walk around video Randy ✌
The AC is classic dodge. It was a issue when this car was new
Thumbnails these days all the way to 11 ❤❤
yeah always good day when you upload videos make my day to watch
I would clean up the Durango and drive it in the winter time only if it’s all wheel drive
That thumbnail is amazing!
Loving the new thumbnails ‼️
Love the new video thumbnails layout hope you are doing well and staying safe
Thumbnail was sick. Way better than what you were previously using no offense.
A Durango owner's happiest day, when they find a sucker to sell it to.
Looks like someone updated their thumbnails , looks awesome!👍🙂
I like the thumbnail its so hood 👌🏻
Vary sweet indeed. Nice collection indeed. Keep up the great work. Okay.
I’ve always wanted one of those Durango’s
It's very possible that the oil cooler is leaking. This is a common problem with 3.6 engines. The part also contains the oil filter housing.
There is an aluminum one that’s “supposed” to be better than the plastic one.
Randy: I don't know for sure but my guess is the oil om the Durango is from a street, being resurfaced. They use oil before they lay the asphalt. It sprays everywhere at a good velocity. For sure front areas. Used said the wheels were bald, that is why the accident happened. I have been on roads like that, and seen the spay off on trucks.
It's a Nissan. My latest ones had the brake shift interlock switch go out. Lol
That mini, she was a hot one 🔥,Liked
The wiring on the dodge is dealer installed. There was a fuel pump relay recall on that model (along with the grand cherokee and etc) and that's what recall "fixes". I've been putting my recall off on our grand cherokee due to what dealer does. Looks horrendous
Also that “fix” fails in time and fries fuel pumps I had that happen on my 2011 hemi ram 1500 had to put a whole new fuse box in to fix it and 2 fuel pumps
I like that Durango.
Good video😀
I owned a 2010 Nissan Sentra. Same body style as the 2011.
Got it from my sister with only 123,000 miles.
Flushed the CVT fluids for fresh fluid, redid the front suspension, brakes, gave it the works.
Best car I ever owned. It was reliable, fuel efficient, and overall was a gorgeous car. My sister took care of it and I did the same.
They can be reliable if taken care of. 😊
In my opinion it’s the best generation of the Sentra. Once they redid the Sentra design and stuff in 2013 it just went downhill from there…
nissans are reiable in general idk why people hate on nissan
nice video
You see the red thing in the center console? You had to use that to push into that little hole next to the shifter to shift it into drive again..
That Durango it's a part in the fan it don't cost alot but. 3.6 I don't know what they are like but looks like a nice car
I miss the carnage you used to do & do you think you can show some tacoma's if you ever come across some? btw love the channel ive always wanted to go to a copart but i dont think we have one down here where I live
randy u got enough cars to deal with
Ok. 🤝
For that Sentra, Nissan has a lock out feature that involves the brakes, and given the sketchy condition of the brakes it might not be disengaging them thus the stuck shifter, on my Versa it has the same thing when you hit the brakes you hear a click and then you can move the shifter. Maybe all it needs is a brake job?
I like that mini would be great for a kswap
On the durango, part of that weird wiring under the hood, part of it is from a factory recall, watch Jr go had a 2012 that needed it done, and him and Tyler Potter did it on his channel
The Durango looks like a wiring nightmare with all the extra and weak blower motor
Electrical fire. Like Scotty L would say these Mini’s are money pits
Randy can you check out the Rav 4 I saw in the background
Hi Randy how is it going
Good morning Randy. The 2012 Dodge Durango is a decent suv. The other cars and trucks are decent.
Typical mini 🔥
All that "aftermarket" wires on the Durango are for a fusible link bypass, those thing were plagued from that design flaw
Randy didn't break it. The Nissan Sentra CVT transmission (2007 to present) is a complete pile of sh*t. Certain to fail and expensive to repair they are to be avoided like the plague. The 2006 and earlier Sentra's were excellent cars, and very reliable. Especially if you can find the SER model.
Those 2.5s where not that reliable lol.
When Nissan dropped the sr20de that's when Nissan lost reliability.y friends 2.5 blew up because of him not checking fluids and those engines heavy consumption of oil
@@samholdsworth420 I always kept my maintenance up. 3K oil and filter, 50K trans service, 50K coolant flush. I've always been that way. I even switch the oil drain plug if it's not magnetized so I can catch more metal shavings out of the engine. And last but not least I add Marvel Mystery Oil to the engine and to the fuel. And no ethanol !!!!!!
My cars tend to last a looooong time. 👍
Yeah my ‘13 Versa had the cvt and it’s not the best but they are definitely made of glass!
thats a lie sentras are reaible as hell mine is fine with 250k miles on it
@@samholdsworth420 nissan never lost reaible whatsoever
on the durango.. lift off the engine cover and look to see if the oil cooler/oil filter housing is leaking
Awesome walk arounds, you never fail to disappoint.
Sometimes you amaze me ! Yeah let it run...
That pore Rav 4 had a hard life
Did you fumigate the calif special mustang gt yet? Is the 85 honda ready for a cross country trip yet?
It's a shame about the Clubman. Beautiful colour green and nice interior. Better luck next time, Randy.
randy show us that red jeep infront of the mini cooper please
Durango: rented one of these back in 2012 or so, definitely preferred it to the GMC Acadia or Ford Explorer of the same era. They seem to hold their value better as well. Those extra wires spliced in under the hood are probably for the GPS tracker, starter interlock, that sort of thing. But I'd rather spend tens of hours cleaning up a stinky dirty car than spend tens of thousands of dollars for a shiny clean new one, considering these are $40k new for a base model six banger half wheel drive.
Sentra: yeah that air intake tube and flexi hose will run you about $18. The automatic shifter and its cable is about $55 used or the cable alone is about that much ($56 at Tasca) new. $12 can of R134a to recharge the A/C ($30 for one of those tall ones with the built in gauge if you don't have a gauge set and recovery equipment). You could even spend a few cents worth of O-rings to seal the service ports and keep it in there longer. Set of hubcaps from Amazon about $40. Vacuum doesn't cost much just a few cents of electricity. Some window cleaner and Tuff Stuff and microfiber towels. Sand down and primer that passenger rear door so the rust doesn't accumulate. Maybe some clips to hold the bumper covers on better. So looking at $150-200 plus whatever the brakes need to make it buy here pay here lot ready. And it's a Nissan CVT so flip a coin to see if it lasts a week or a year. I'd pass but find the same with a 6-speed manual and that's a good 'un.
Clubman: these older R55 models are decent as far as Minis go, but that one got crispied.
Usually with Nissan a brake light indicates a problem low brake fluid or just driving problems in general
Can you do some more on Subarus
Oil filter housing leaks on the 3.6 ask me how I know
Was there a shift release on the Nissan?
Check that Chevy Cruz out there that Ice blue one beside the dodge Durango please
Yea
Love your walk around and buying old cars love it
That brake light on means the brake fluid is low or the handbrake is on or the switch is faulty
You should start looking for 2020 dodge charger
It was wierd not needing the battery pack
Where is the ford roadster that was supposed to be here on the 3rd 🤔🥱
Whoa a Mini
The 3.6 Pentastar Engines have an Oil Leak issue due to the Plastic Oil Cooler Housing.
I think my nabor had a bright blue clubman
Don’t tell me that I’m the only one who wants to see that blue CRUZ 🙂
Hey dude i dont know if someone has already pointed it out but the thumbnail says Dodge Journey 👍
It's really a shame about that Mini. It is such a cool and very nice-looking car. I agree though, it's probably not worth repairing with all of the fire damage.
Since it uses modern BMW parts and was designed by BMW,it'll never be worth fixing sadly.Just like any BMW made in that tike period.
All that oil could be coming from an failing oil filter housing/cooler.
Did you win any new cars?
Dodge Journey = durango
Shame about the Cooper s. A good looking car.
11:40 breaking the damn dashboard 🙄
Uh, I don't think this thumbnail is meant for this video, is it?
In UK 🇬🇧 has to b in good condition or police pull you over all the time it's a nightmare 😳
Those Durangos will tow 7000+ lbs.
The brake light fuse blown the shifter will not go in gear
I just do not understand how people leave their vehicles like this. I’ve been watching Randy for many years since the Uber Man. And I remember ever since these vehicles just smell. People are disgusting.
I used to work at a rental car company, you should see what some people are capable of in just a few days. It's scary. . .
@@MentalTacoDog wow I’d be curious to know all the things you’ve learned and seen in the years. It’s gotta be crazy.
🤜🤛
The could have been a nice addition to fleet . Shame bout the damage
I wonder is that Durango ran over a lawn mower Maby it’s a compressor oil
I will never understand how people abuse their cars and don't take care of them.
🤝👑👑🥇👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🌟🌟
Too bad about the dodge. Thought the Nissan would be good. Mini Cooper walk away.
My rule no matter what. I'll never buy a used car with black ice air freshener. It says so much about the owner.
why are you sterotyping
Sentra cvt just suck Manual is just a great car to buy had one last summer and sold it double price.
That Durango was not looked after properly 😲
Idk man.. Durangos seem to pretty much be junk regardless.. I have a 2011 and it's the least favorite of any vehicle I've ever owned. So many problems all the time.
It's amazing how are people able to trash a car in 7 years.
2 bad on the mini
Nissan cbvts transmissions are junk as also the 3.6 Dodges those always end up having the heads always cracking up on them
