i was on the weather channel website and they said the turn is unexpected and that the models are changing. they dont know anything, which is why people put too much trust into models. i have lived through hugo, fran, floyd, matthew, florence and i can tell you with those major storms, some of their tracks changed, especially florence. it kept shifting different directions

Waste your money again? all other fore casters Meteorologist of 90%' are Keeping it well off shore ? in land areas would feel nothing . Nova Scotia yes they may get hit by wind and rain. New England Seems to stand with a 5-10% Chance ad not likely is what it is. Though the 38 Hurricane Did just this and told every body it was going to miss us? But , what happened was Shocking when it made a left sharp turn west and slammed in to Rd Island with winds gusting to 130mpr all the way in to VERMONT NEWHAMPSHIE AND MAIN?!!! 600 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES. So Prep up maybe??? Carolinas are prone to Hurricanes but not this time. If any one remembers the Hurricane hitting the Carolina's in The 1980s movie BOGGY CREEK PART 2 IT HIT AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. Hugo was Devastating.
Dude I been saying that.. I know they keep talking about this trough but they are not talking about this Bermuda high pressure pushing down and the shrinking "trough" they are so certain about. I don't claim to be a meteorologist... infact I'm a nurse but I sure don't see the basis for their prediction.
Not only all models were wrong… the hurricane cat 5 has collapsed to probably/possibly still a hurricane. The real issue here is that the Noaa does not acknowledge reality when it comes to communication. Lee has hardly been a hurricane the last 40 hours.

That goes for me, too. I live in NJ, and we went through Irene in 2011 and Sandy in 2012. I'm rather concerned that Lee could become another "Sandy" if this forecast comes to fruition.
After Fiona and Ian I'm prepared here in Nova Scotia. Power outages are a way of life here in a slight breeze. Just need to eat the food in the house and not restock things that go bad. Still a chance New England get hit worst than us so I'll be watching.
