    With all due respect, if Oliveira doesn't have a variety of striking attacks, I don't know who does. Elbows, reverse upward elbow (in fight with Teymur), knees, flying knees, spinnig back kick, spinnig heel kick, flying scissor kick - that's all I remember, there may have been more.

      You must only watch LW, for 155 Charles has good variety. Jones has a better developed striking game, better defense & more variety at 205. Pettis in his prime had more variety than Charles. Jiri & Hill are also good examples of extreme levels variety. Charles is like a B plus maybe A minus

  • @Don-xr9cw
    @Don-xr9cw 11 месяцев назад +284

    come on Stephen, Charles’ variety of attacks is crazy, man. Flying knees, flying kicks, spinning kicks, switch kicks, upward elbows, spinning elbows.. I’d even argue he’s more flashy than Izzy for example

      Wonderboy even contradicted himself towards the end saying he has good elbows and knees.

    • @ehsanulaminkhan205
      @ehsanulaminkhan205 11 месяцев назад +27

      I was about to say the same thing. Charles has crazy Variety and most importantly he mixes them up probably better than anyone else in his division.
      Charles' calf kicks, head kicks, front kick to keep measure range, flying kicks, elbows, flying knees, knees from the clinch, clinch work etc.
      Charles is very technical with almost everything he does. I was very impressed by him with his fight against Poirier. When Charles saw in the first round that Poirier was very durable and a heavy puncher as well, he took the fight to the ground in the 2nd. When Poirier did nothing in the 2nd to get back up on his feet, Charles feinted in the 3rd to transition into taking Poirier's back and the rest is history.
      When Charles is Charles, unlike the Islam fight, The Fight is Going to be a War. Charles actually reminds me of the Brazilian Football Team's Ultra-Aggressive and Flamboyant Nature. He fights just like that. As long as it lasts, it's gonna be exciting.

    There’s was always rumors of you “switching” sides. Lol. Anyway, Charles strikes pretty good backing up. He pretty much gave everyone in MMA the secret to avoiding leg kicks when he fought Justin. The flexibility in his hips is insane so it allows him to lift that leg up and twist his leg sideways and then over his opponent’s leg as he marches forward. People should really watch that fight again and watch how he waited for Justin to throw it and he’d come forward and step over it so he could strike while Justin was off balance. Leg kicks just don’t work on him. Conor needs to to learn that move because they do kind of strike alike just from opposite sides and it’s why my favorite 2 fighters are Charles and Conor. I wish those 2 would train together they’re very similar in ways and could fix eachothers weaknesses.

    • @DADRB0B55
      @DADRB0B55 11 месяцев назад

      That was never a secret people of been avoiding leg kicks like that before Charles came out the womb, do you only watch 155ers ? Justin also telegraphs everything it was not hard to avoid. If he avoided a leg kick from Izzy I would be impressed but not a guy who literally slips on his butt throwing haymakers.

    Mention sponsor at the beginning and do adread at the end. I switch off almost every time there's a FULL adread at the BEGINNING of a video. I pay for YT Premium for a reason. Good vid though.

    Great video but I disagree on the variety of techniques. One of the way he pieces his opponents up is from his throwing all kinds of strikes at you at all parts of the body in a short moment. The opponents always end up flustered at what's coming next. He tends to throw a lot of front kicks, knees, jumping front kicks and knees, tons of uppercuts, straights, hooks, leg kicks and rarely the spinning back kick.

    Yeii talking about our man 🇧🇷
    Striking it is like new for him, he just use to KO and he is great fighter, Dariush also very great, but I'm going to Charles.

    I feel like they put beniel as the favorite so if it's a close decision they can give it to beneil and no one will dispute it because he's the favorite..

    I think olivera watched this before his fight with Dariush. He was in and out, switched sides and used a Steven Wonderboy headkick just to let you know hes paying attention

    his lack of side to side movement is because he used to be blind haha. i think he just needs to learn how to fight with 20/20 vision now. Hopefully he figures it out.

      My man was never "blind". "Haha". "Hopefully he figures it out". 🤦 Dude beat 11 guys straight and you somehow manage to get that opinion, that dude needs to learn how to fight. Well you and your opinion can go f yourself. Go do it yourself "blind" and then make that stupidiest comment ever. 🤦🖕
