    If you ever go to Skellige and clear those unmarked locations in the sea and small islands, fight Sirens and Ekhidnas on your boat (not on the helm firing crossbow arrows or underwater) and some of them will drop seashells in their loot which you can dismantle for very cheap and get black or white pearls that have high coin value. Also dismantling some cheap hides like pig hides, goat hides, deer hide and others can get you cured leather which you can earn 1000 coin for every 100 cured leather you sell to either Hattori or the armorer in Hierarch Square.

    NOTE: For your first few levels, make sure to sell all your unwanted Weapons & Upgrades (Runes & Glyphs) to the Blacksmiths located here in Novigrad City (03:50).
    Then when you manage to unlock Master Hattori at around level 20 (03:19), just use him and the above two Blacksmits from that point on, until you reach Toussaint.
    Always sell all unwanted Armor & Upgrades to the armorer at Hierarch Square in Novigrad (04:01).
    Sticking to that you'll accrue a decent amount of coin.

      @@GamerGrade There's a quest called "Father Knows Worst" in Toussaint. You save Hugo from a cave of monsters, then afterwards Hugo becomes the Innkeeper at The Clever Clogs Tavern in Beauclair. He doesn't have a lot of coin, between 500-650, depending if you meditate down the road at Lebioda's Gate for an hour, if you completely empty his wallet, he will have 500 restocked, or if you go questing and come back after a while he will have 650. He also has the best price for Mandrake Cordial. And he gives about full price for things like "Witcher Contract Trophies", and will buy pretty much anything.
      They have had a habit of "fixing" everything that people "exploit", but farming the Cyclops from 30-35 with 20% monster XP from the silver sword, and 5% from the trophy on Roach, that gives 75 XP a kill is pretty nice, like not killing the leader of Hanse base for respawns, and Hugo at Clever Clogs is also a very nice thing that they really don't need to fix. It is perfect the way it is.
      Freedom and choice are important things, and if you play on console and can't just mod everything how you want it, these options are essential for some peoples enjoyment of accomplishing what they want to. There was one guy who sold glass vials before who paid full price but that got "fixed". The Herbalist in White Orchard used to give more coins for honeycombs, but apparently that was "fixed". And the Alchemist near Oxenfurt buying trophies at full price also apparently got "fixed". I just couldn't sell trophies for such a pitiful sum, so then I learned about Hugo, who has been a great help for me to be one of my rotation of merchants, along with some I sell exclusively swords to, and sell certain materials to all Herbalists and Alchemists I can find. I just wiped out my wallet making Grandmaster Feline Armor, and I haven't invested in the Runewright yet, so yeah these things are essential and I really hope they don't get any ideas about "fixing" anything now that just makes things more tedious.

    There's a merchant, Hugo, who will pay full price for items. In Toussaint after you unlock him (and his brother who pays normal prices) from a quest. He only has 500 crowns, but buys all sorts of items, and sells at discount. Not much stock, but White Gull ingredients are there at game's best prices, and anything that sells for 1 crown can be bought and sold for 1 crown elsewhere. Thus you can sell more items to him with the extra cash infused, then resell the 1 crown items without loss. sort of like a loan from one business to another. Books and other small items that would net you maybe 80 crowns in total will get you hundreds now.

      @@GamerGrade glad I could contribute to such a useful video. Your table with the bonuses laid out is great, and you even reminded me of that herbalist in the square. I'd stopped using him as my stores became full because he charges so much, but selling to him! He gives something like 800 crowns for a wyvern hide! Don't sell your hides anywhere else.
      I'd also mention that those Journeyman armorers charge less for dismantling. Very useful when you have all the gem studded jewelry and need components for the Grand Master armorer. I always just go back to the dwarf in White Orchard you help way back in the beginning.

      GamerGrade yes I completely agree! So much more room the second time round for exploration and taking time with things. Ive been having more fun this time with my skill sets, making my Geralt a bloody wizard lol. Funnily enough though, when I first played it. I had just come from Witcher 2 (never did 1, although I closely followed the story). So I was already fully involved and prepared for the 3rd instalment. I had basically done everything there was to do in The Witcher 3 by the end of my first run. I’d spent something ridiculous like 12 days on it, lol.
      And then for a few years, I didn’t play it at all.. So I booted it up the other day and got RIGHT back into that world, and I must say, I found myself on your channel a lot (so helpful). Haha. But yeah, The Witcher 3 is probably in my all time top 3 games. It’s just too good.

    I know its a bit late but I've got a few tips that save that bit of extra time.
    To check if they are the best price i find these items at a certain price give the best guide to whether they buy at top dollar.
    Junk and food: Erveluce, 10 gold
    Books: Gnomish Prankings, 28 gold
    Crafting, weapons, armor: Dimeritium plates, 560 - 580 gold (not sure if that price translates to the weapons and armor though)
    Alchemy: Dwarven Spirit, 7 gold
    3 of these are the most expensive (price sort, erveluce, plates and gnomish prankings are probably the most valuable and dwarven spirit, if you dont have like 150 by the time you loot velen, you dont loot much
    "Best" vendors
    Alchemy ingredients: The dwarf shop that follows the canal immediately in front as u exit dandelions pub is perfect price, 750 gold, always open (3AM after meditating... still there to buy).
    Junk and food, passiflora. 1k gold, close to fast travel
    Books is correct in this video.
    Also the actual best price sometimes differs. Honeycomb sells at MUCH higher wth the white orchard herbalist. Buys for between 6 and 8, next best is 3, most convenient is 2.
    Junk and food: again, actual best price is Inn at the Crossroads but he usually has very minimal money. If you wanna buy white gull alchohol buy from him, get more money back selling to him (erveluce for instance sells for 15)

    in late game the price really isn't important, but rather if the vendor refreshes their items or not. the grandmaster smith never refreshes weapons, so it gets very, very laggy when you sell him too much stuff, and it'll take up to 5 sec to sell him a sword. (I'm using a switch , but as far as I know the problem is also present on pc). in that case, try the skellige armorer, he refreshes coin and items everyday

      The environments are breath taking in this game :)
      If you havent yet cleared all the Hanse bases in Toussaint, then id recommend killing the endlessly spawning bandits at once of those bases, and repeatedly sell the weapons you loot until you have enough coin. The bandits will only stop spawning if you kill the base leader, usually at the top somewhere, so dont kill him :)
      There are 3 Hanse Base locations as shown here: witcher.gamepedia.com/Hanse_base
      Also the Fiend Decoction will allow you to carry more weight (+20) whilst you're lugging the weapons back to a trader.
      Hope this helps!

    I never find anyone ever mentioning Oxenfurt Armorer and Blacksmith. They offer same rate as the Novigrad merchants and are equally wealthy. Also There are 6 merchants at Hierarch Square. Apart from the Armorer, Herbalist and Bookstore; there are 3 merchants but only shows 1 icon on map. Near to the Herbalist is another that also offers Herbalist price. Those 2 are my go to for selling Alchemical items. On the opposite side and between the Armorer and Bookstore, there are 2 merchants that don't show up on map. One is also Bookseller, gives same rate. Another one has junk. Him and the Inn are my 2 go to for selling pelts/hides and junk items. All within Novigrad Square.

    • @GamerGrade

      Yes you are correct on everything. However make sure to consistently sell looted weapons and armor etc throughout the entire game from the start, to make sure you accrue enough coin late game for Witcher gear. When you eventually get to Lafargue, just use him from that point on 👍

The master blacksmith Trentin in Toussaint only has 1955 max coin for me.

    • @GamerGrade
      @GamerGrade  2 года назад

      Thank you for the feedback! Yes over time, as you continue to sell to them consistently over the course of the entire game, they become richer. You dont really need to buy weapons and armor from them, just spend coin crafting with them (mainly witcher gear, runes and glyphs) when you're a sufficient level to do so.
      Get into the habit of off loading gear after every quest, or few hours of exploring question marks 👍

Unlock the Ekimmara Decoction asap and use that as a regular part of your tactics to keep HP efficiently topped up, as well as regular use of Quen to minimize damage.
      The general skill named 'Gourmet' is a real game changer if you find things tough going at first, but it does feel a bit OP :)
      Alchemy is also very effective if implemented correctly, so make sure to check out my Alchemy guide here: ruclips.net/video/abSC5VMJ6Ik/видео.html
      Hope that helps brother, good luck 🍻

      For some strange reason all jewellery is marked as Junk in the game.
      Junk is best sold to Innkeepers, like the Kingfisher inn at Hierarch Square or the Passiflora brothel, both in Novigrad CIty. There's a few Innkeepers in Toussaint, to check their locations visit witcher3map.com.
      Hope that helps and good luck! 🍻

    • @GamerGrade
      @GamerGrade  4 года назад

      Also note that all Jewellery can be broken down into crafting mats, so you can get a Ruby from ruby necklaces, so on and so forth. Just something to keep in mind if you ever require such mats when crafting.

  • @LastOneAlive96

    Hello :)
    What should i do with all the jewelry? Sell or dismantle it? And which merchant pays the best prices for jewelry?

    • @GamerGrade
      @GamerGrade  2 года назад +1

      Innkeepers should buy them for a good price, but you can also try Crafters. Dismantling Ruby jewellery will give Ruby gems, which are used for crafting some powerful Witcher and relic gear, as shown here witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Ruby.

    • @LastOneAlive96
      @LastOneAlive96 2 года назад +1

      @@GamerGrade Thanks for the quick answer. 🙏🏼 I was wondering if it‘s worth to dismantle them and then sell the different parts solo or if the dismantling process for all that stuff would be so expensive that you wouldn‘t really make profit in the end.. Have you ever tried that?

    • @GamerGrade
      @GamerGrade  2 года назад +1

      Yeah ive found its better to just sell what you dont need, rather than dismantling first. Although with mats if best to keep some, as some are very rare, and others may dismantle into something you may need later. Make sure to build the habit of consistently visiting traders after every quest/exploration, to offload looted weapons/armor/items etc regularly. Over time you will build more than enough wealth and trade economy will grow. Good luck! 🍻

      Yes, as well as other Blacksmiths if the GM runs out of cash. The Bookstore in Hierarch Square in Novigrad City is where to sell all books and documents.

    What’s the best merchant for alchemy ingredients like monster parts I’ve been farming a lot of nests to sell but idk where I can get a good price

    • @GamerGrade
      @GamerGrade  4 года назад +3

      You wanna sell those to Alchemists, like Gremist in Skellige, the Pellar in Velen, and i think Kiera Metz is also an Alchemist. Also the Perfume Shop in Toussaint, just south of the Grand Place sign post in Beauclair City, is a rich Alchemist.
      Be careful though, as many monster parts dismantle into useful crafting materials.

      @@sleepyproduction7166 its glitch, you leave one item, meditate and nests are back, mind if you are doing this on console than any loading, be it to fast travel or to load save will update the game and nests will be once again empty.

    What about crafting materials?

    • @GamerGrade
      @GamerGrade  3 года назад

      You're welcome :)
      Crafting materials sell to Blacksmiths or Armorers, and Alchemy ingredietnts to Alchemists.
      However only sell the materials you know you wont need for crafting / upgrading your Witcher gear, as buying them later can be very expensive and many you probably wont find again.

      Yeah dont worry about it, it doesnt really make much difference as you can only store a certain number of items and the price difference is small. Just sell everything in Toussaint from the point you get there. The trophies are also not worth much so just sell them when and where you want. Good luck! 🍻

      Yeah thats about right, nothing you're doing wrong. An undamaged item will sell for a tad more, but its not a lot, certainly not worth repairing for. Try and sell to traders in Novigrad, then swap over to traders in Toussaint as soon as you get there. Good luck! 🍻
