VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
You can now stay on an Indian reservation & learn about native life! In this video, Airbnb superhost, Allarice Meehan, takes us on a tour of her homeland - Tse’ Łigai Yaa’nti’i’ - on an Indian Reservation in the Navajo Nation. *Ancestral-NOT ancestrial, *
With Ryan's ruclips.net/user/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE plan, I was like one taken by the hand and led step by step from start to finish. Thank you very much Ryan!
what an honor you've received to listen to her stories, hear her speak her language in her own tongue and to be a guest on Dine land. Awesome video.
Thank you. We felt honored to be there
Allarice, you have blown my circuits. This is a video I want to watch again and again. Your ancestry is rich.
Wow! Just wow.
Oh, my... I enjoyed every second of that tour, Allarice was such a pleasure to listen to - her stories, and, her calm voice. What a wonderful, wonderful video that is, Jenna.
Made a couple trips to Navajo Indian reservation about 20 years ago for missions trip to help a church. It is beautiful for sure and so are the people!!!
I’m not indigenous, but I absolutely bow my head in great respect to our indigenous brothers and sisters. They are the first ones. They paved the way for all of us in this country. I LOVE this concept of past, present and future this Navajo family is doing on their property. The cube is definitely a great idea the Navajo people could possibly adopt. A great job for a beautiful woman and family. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
Her voice is soothing.
Wow, this woman made me tear up talking about her live and honor for her place and people. Blessings to her her family, to her ancestors and to those she has inspired and loved.
Wonderful and beautiful
Absolutely beautiful! A special place...Love it and the glimpse into the Navajo people. thank you
So beautiful and unique. I wish you love and light
Navajo great Indian people, Igrew up on books about Navajo lndians
I loved this. Have spent some some time on the Navajo Rez, almost took a job there as a counselor, but wasn't sure I could take the cold winters and the frigid wind due to arthritis. But I have two friends who have worked with the Dine for years. They love it there. Maybe one day, I'll take the long drive back up there and visit my friends and go check out these very special Air Bnbs. The Dine had a have a hard time with Covid. Hope things are better for them now. They are a truely unique and beautiful people. God bless them.
Oh my goodness.
To be part of something as special as this place is just incredible.
I'm from New Zealand and as a nation we have learned a great deal from our indigenous people. We use the language in our everyday lives and have had the privilege of being taught from some amazing leaders. I hope they treat everyone in America with the same honour they wish upon themselves.
But this place has such a beauty about it. The sadness the love laughter tears have soaked into the soil and become a living being.
This is the America I would want to see. To be part of and learn from the custodians of this land.
I could learn more from then than from anywhere else
Awesome
And to think there is prejudice against these beautiful people with their long traditions and connection to the land. Just beautiful!
Janina, prejudice mixed with greed, religion and arrogance: A terrible combination that pushed "manifest destiny" all the way west.
This was an excellent Video 😊.
Thanks
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
Amazing video
Wonderful.
Urs it made me cry. Thanks for sharing.
So beautiful and I love those blankets
Beautiful woman!!! Beautiful place!!!
WOW!! ❣️
Wow
Oh my!!! Soooo love this tour!!! Beautiful!!!!
So beautiful, brought me to tears to hear the contrasting sorrow and peace in her voice.
Stunningly beautiful and soooo much pride and history.
So moved by this story...the sacredness of all they did..
Fabulous place 🌼💗🌼
I'm staying there, looks cool.
Am I the only one who would pour a glass of whiskey and just listen to her talk about her culture and the history of her land and people?
Yes!!! Exactly!!
@@TinyHouseGiantJourney that wagon looked amazing. Would love to spend a week in there. Maybe helping her family with chores.
Also glad to see your content, Jenna. But be safe with Covid. Much love from Canada
Beautiful video🦋💗
I’m just…in…awe. Wow. I feel privileged to have been able to have a glimpse upon such a beautiful place.
So touching.
There is so much beauty in the way Baya speaks. Thank you for sharing her story.
Such poetry in motion!🔥
Holy wah your blankets! Just beautiful! Very pretty ribbon skirt on your daughter too!
Wow I hope that I can come and visit one day soon
This makes me cry tears of joy to see this beautiful family create a sustainable and educational business to sustain themselves and inspire other native people to rise up and bring hope to the nations.
So beautiful
Tears in my eyes for the beauty of this tour, the land, the people, the history, and for the future. I am of Zuni ancestry myself, and so indigenous peoples of all ancestry truly touch my heart. Blessings to all who stay in these lovely dwellings built with love, and pride, surrounded by the majesty of the west.
You should do more native American inspired tiny homes. Loved the video!
This gives me memories of my own long ago childhood....sacred. Your husband Paul had to pull you back, (or forward), to recall that the past means something. This is what story is. This is what myth andmagic is. And this is what myth, magic and memory can bring to the present and the future. Thank you, for this history. For this memory. For this now, and for more memory for your children. Beautiful.
Totally Amazing and have enjoyed this video so very much
There is a spiritual connection when one visits the Navajo Land. Thirty years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a day on this sacred land. If I were younger, I would go back and stay at this beautiful gift she shares with others. 1 day is and was not long enough.
Allarice, Your appreciation for your land and heritage is beautiful. You moved me to tears. Thanks for sharing. Thanks Jenna
the dessert is beautiful.
Love, love, love!!! The special touches, the vivid colors, beautiful! 💖
Beautiful place I would love to come to visit😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
😎⚡️
Wow what an absolutely beautiful. And they take pride and what they do and I'm proud that they keep that going.
This is so wonderful. One day I hope to stay here.
That earthen home is a masterpiece! I would want to stay there most, although the tents look incredibly comfortable as well! .In addition to the one of a kind experience she offers, I would most like to meet the owner! She seems like such an amazing person and I really love how she is raising her children to appreciate her family and tribal history. How blessed they all are!
Your recent posts have just bringing me straight to tears. This is so beautiful. I have to go here.
This is beautiful and peaceful. What a way to experience the past in a modern way. And the night sky, oh my goodness!
Wow !
What a beautiful place and 🐑. So organized and neat. She speaks so eloquently and precisely...really like the way she explains...thank you for sharing this gem.
At first the vistas looked stark and unreal. As I raptly listened to her family's personal history and culture I was enchanted. The ingenuity the people, and the combining of the sacred with the practical made me appreciate her story even more. The family working together, with the children and the animals was endearing, as they looked to the future. Like the wailing woman, I was stunned by even the photograph of the stars. I have never seen such beauty.
This was much more beautiful than I had expected! And the host was such a kind person. What a beautiful night sky she showed us! That alone would be worth the trip!
I love this series with Airbnb especially this one!! So beautiful 💙
I love her family's story and rich history ! If we drive down to Arizona then I'd love to visit this place as well. It's something my husband would love because he yearns to feel one with the earth (which is why he had us visit Joshua Tree a few years ago with our baby).
einzgeisha, that would be another amazing adventure four your family!
Beautiful!
So beautiful thank you for sharing. My maternal grandmother was a Native American. One of the regrets I have in life is that I did not get to know her better.
This is epic. Im living in Chinle, Az right now on the reservation and I am sharing this with everyone 💛
What a special place with a special story. I would love to go stay there one day! 😊❤️
whoah..amazing..amazing culture..wonderful experience..at night time while the sky is so clear lay your blanket on the ground..lay down on your back..watch the stars..millions of stars..everywhere will be full of bright shining stars...as I write this comment..I feel like I am floating in the sky...
Jenna I’ve followed you for years, really hate anyone criticizing you, but I need to just give a little negative feedback on the split screens and fancy scene-segues: it’s just too much for my eyes, it’s kind of disorienting, makes it hard to focus on the details of the build ( or scenery), and it goes too fast. Much prefer the simpler film techniques of your older videos. Again, nothing but respect for you. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It’s been a lot of fun to follow you.
Ok thanks for the feedback. I haven’t heard that from others. I wonder if other people feel that way?
@@TinyHouseGiantJourney yes I thought of that, too. Could just be me.
Many of us are watching on our phones. The screen is better seen whole. Beautiful scenery. And genuine host. I’m happy that she has a way to enhance her family life experience.
Very nice.Unique.I'm glad she's able to make a living from it
Beautiful. Your connection to the land is so calm and spiritual. Although, I can see how it would be hard as a teenager to appreciate it, lol.
We appreciate what we have and are the best, when we don't have and aren't it. But we must experience it.
I would love to come be a guest some day xoxoxo
So much integrity and so beautiful, we are all nature 💚
I need to go here soon!!
This is a brilliant video,It’s great to see the true natives thriving so well in the country they were born in.Long may you continue to prosper. All the paintings and ornaments that’s put in the hotel rooms are so precious.Greetings from England. From Mary.🐝🐇🐄🦆🦉😀x
This place is awesome and beautiful
I love the traditions and history she is bringing to life and sharing with everyone through this space, I hope that we get to visit the Hogon one day, I have always wanted to visit a Hogon. Thank you so inspirational!
She is so beautiful from the inside out! I love your home and that it's sustaining your family and future and preserving your history! You're so lucky to have roots!
Fantastic!
When I start my journey/adventures, this I hope will be a stop for me.
Dig the wagon. Thanks for the video and God bless. He created the earth and sky.
What an awesome place. I would love to stay there
All I can say is beautiful. Thank you. One of the best videos I have seen.
absolutley stunning ! i fancy that HOGAN
Beautiful, i have arrowack indian in my background history on my father's side and i can relate to this
Huge thanks for this one
Chactaw here, love your video and your home. Our heritage is who we are !! Your girls are absolutely beautiful.
I like your comment about being who you are. Because I’m a Christian I think of my life having been born again. And so I relate to the idea of that’s who I am.
Extraordinary endeavour and connection with the land. Thank, you, Jenna, and this family. I wish them all well.
I loved this place and just a peak into the Navajo culture. Thank you!❤
If l could visit the Usa, l wish come there in your Navajo Res💖🇮🇹
What a special place... would love to visit here. x
yay!
This is by far the best video of this channel.
I have a little of the indian blood in me due to the trail of tears which pass threw our country. one my ancestor took a baby for a gal that was dying. do the the condition at the time after he raised her . he married and the little bit indian that I have in me was due to that. this was told to me by my grandmother.
So beautiful love them all
Thank you Baya for sharing your lovely hotel spaces and your culture as well. Wonderful spaces and I'd love to stay in the Hogan (sorry, not sure how to spell) especially, if I ever make it out West again. Regardless, I hope you have the blessings of the land to share your love of your people and your heritage. We must do everything we can as white people to give back to those our ancestors oppressed and destroyed and those who we continue to oppress and destroy, namely the BIPOC people of this nation.
Ummm... her children are descendants of those same "oppressive ancestors." They are half white. Should they have to pay reparations? We are all mixed now. Let the past be the past.
@@patrickdewhurst3378 After the BIA finds and distributes all the funds that have been bureaucratized out of existence?
@@amandawilcox9638 Right. I've lived on the reservation my whole life. I know all too well the corruption that takes place within the BIA. That said, to get into the reparations discussion, we need to read our own history and start requiring tribes like the Commanche to pay reparations to the Arapaho tribe etc. Turns out, there's been a lot of violence over the years. How about let's just change the future, because that is something we actually do have control over. :)
V lovely n soulful homes. V peaceful environment. God bless u all with good health happiness n loooooooooong life
Amazingly beautiful, thank you for sharing these homes. A great sense of peace and strength. Thank you again.
Thank you Jenna, what a wonderful place. I love getting into the Outback in Australia, into the peace of the desert, this place seems to have the same Spirit. A great range of shelters and I'd love to try each one, but the Hogan is what really draws me in. Thanks again for the chance to see it.
❤️❤️❤️
What a wonderful place to visit and learn about their history. As a child I visited the Navaho nation, I love their culture. well done
How awesome!!!!! I love all of it maybe one day I can come and stay with you’ll 💗💐🌼🌷
