What amazes me is that this performance was early in the afternoon on a hot August day in Chicago and the band had played a set just 13 hours before the previous night. I also suspect they were still jet lagged after flying in from Japan. They then played 8 concerts in ten days, crossing the western US and ending in Mexico City. Iron Maids.
After her solo Kanami DID have to stop, at least long enough to walk back to her pedal board and change from the solo setting to the drive setting. You need to see how they performed this during their Yokohama Tour Ending concert, which is STILL available for purchase of the stream until the day after Christmas.
I love this combo of songs, especially the "Hate?" duel/conversation! I got to see this first hand, live, in Denver this year and all I can say is that it was spectacular! Band-Maid is a force of nature, live!
And you got to see it on the Yokohama live stream, 3 for 3 already.😁
I saw this debut the night before this show. Man, the confusion and nervous energy in the crowd during the interlude between the two was genuine excitement for what was to come next. Then the Misa-Kanami conversation was was absolutely thrilling! Song of the night, easy. If you had asked me before the show, Hate would not have been high on the list for what I would have guessed to be the best song of the night. Same thing happened last time too! They cease to amaze live.

@@Parker-- Awesome. Well what a coincidence cos the first place the Maids will head for is London. They even have to fly to Heathrow just 3 miles from me.😌
As a Maidiac, not a reactor, seeing reactions to this brings a smile to my face. Many reactors assume that this is one song, so that's the first surprise. Then comes the bass-guitar duel where the reaction goes vertical. I watched this concert online and got blown away by it too.
And on 11/26 I watched the Yokohama concert where they did 33 songs in 3 /12 hours and this one, Dice-Hate?, was even better and shot much better too. I'm glad I have the archive until 12/26 to watch, and the video release is said to be in the Spring. Thank you for your reaction. You do them well.
Yep, with this performance the ladies have made life a living hell for the camera crew, who obviously didn't know who to get in the picture. :) Understandable, as you actually need to have each of them in the picture at the same time. 🔥🤘🏻

I have seen all the great bands, Stones, Van H, Rush, AC/DC, Kiss, Nugent, Yes, Zappa, J Giles, REO, Styx, ect.
BandMaid takes me right back to those days and one for one are probably a more gifted sisterhood of musicians. Can't wait to see them again.
After this awesome BAND-MAID performance they should rename it PO-llapalooza :)

Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame
There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that. Fluctuating between hard rock, aughts nu-metal, and pop rock, each member of the quintet is a virtuoso in her own right with more than a decade of practice in Band-Maid alone. They lured curious onlookers into the fold when highlights like “Domination” and “Don’t You Tell Me” got huge reactions from the crowd, but it was the bass solo-versus-guitar solo duels mid-song that got the biggest cheers. This is what those guys in Guitar Center think their ridiculous riffing sounds like. Turns out it’s done best, and most effortlessly, by women in black-and-white maid dresses and frilly hair-pieces as they smile ear to ear. -N.C.
Hard to believe but they topped this performance with their performance of this twofer during the 10th Anniversary Okyuji from Yokohama Arena on Sunday, 11/26. Hopefully they release an official video of this, and many other song performances from that concert as it was absolutely epic from start to finish- all 3 hrs, 40 minutes!!!
Worth every penny to purchase the stream.

They will do 10th year anniversary tour final spin off at Zepp Yokohama on Feb 22nd playing songs they didn't play at Yokohama Arena. Talking about great customer service 🥰
It's funny when you said Akane was hitting the drums real hard because during hate she broke a stick, threw it away, grabbed another one and kept going and you missed it. Then you paused, went back the the exact moment she broke her stick, and missed that to hahaha.
I'm unbelievably blind sometimes 😆
It starts at 6:47 of your video. Just watch Akane-san. She throws the old stick away and grabs a new one while hitting the kick drum.
You say you're a little slow, but you're not as slow as the cameramen when Misa starts to solo! 😁

They made A LOT of new fans at Lollapalooza. This was one of the best highlights of the US tour.
Their goal was not to be number one in Japan🗾, but to conquer the world🗺️.Their world domination is full of dedication and love to their fans.🎀🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁

By the time I saw them in Sacremento, everyone had seen the footage from Lollapalooza, and we were ready for it. They just burned the place down. Too bad the Lolla camera work was so incompetent.

Funny. As I was watching this Lollapalooza show it reminded me when Bob Geldolf put together Band-Aid as the big benefit show in the 80s that was all televised live.
Your The Warning poster is almost as big as the Band-Maid video. Better to concentrate on one band at a time maybe. Your right, the Hate song structure is a bit lost in the mix and not easy to pick up for new listeners.

not sure if you're aware, but band-maid and the warning are mutual fans. maidiacs were delighted when both groups finally met in person last year at aftershock '22.
The camera work was brutal. The mix from Hulu is even worse, and you have to get used to it. Once you kind of pick up on that, it's almost like your brain mixes the music a little better, and things become more clear. It never sounds like a GOOD mix, but you can at least hear what's going on. They were absolutely on fire at this show.
What was wrong with the camerawork, GG? Sure it was different from the Yokohama version of Hate in that the camera always focused on the wrong member or switched mid way during solos but i heard Akane & Saiki at the back watching the awesome conversation that we couldn't see were delighted the cameras were on them. Even Miku was happy to get a good close-up when she'd stopped playing.😏
@@GaryHolloway-810 Gary! Let's just consider it "non-conventional" camera work. Watching the people actually playing solos is so yesterday.

Did you get a new mic , cause i've never heard it before on your videos only the last two BAND-MAID videos , Dice/Hate n Blooming , really sounds bad on the viewers end , sure its hooked up correctly .@@Dirty10
