Good thing for them that the other guitarist isn't to shabby

So how was the show with the new chap? Was the set more tailored to be "easier" solo wise?

If you look up the performances of shotgun blues & seal the deal for this show , the solos were underwhelming. He tried to make them sound like the solo instead of actually have learned them.

@@davidpascual9571 Exactly! I hope he won't be the lead guitarist, replacing Rob for good. Fast Fingers had this magic in his solos that I loved, his sound was very melodic. He plays with great ease and has a strong stage presence that I just don't find with Flemming.
During the first concerts with Volbeat, Rob joined the band with disconcerting ease.
      I already miss him.
I have to admit, though, that Flemming is very brave and I wish him the best of luck, and thank him for responding to mickael's request.

@@PurpleMetal-je1zv I hope you realize that Flemming only had like a week to learn an entire setlist of songs? It's near impossible to play all of the solos effortlessly after such a short time. Rob came in when they were recording Outlaw Gentlemen and had months to learn everything before they played their first shows. Rob leaving like this was not planned so we cannot judge Flemming on this tour already. Not fair. Flemming is one of the most respected young metal guitarists in Denmark. He's got his own band called The Arcane Order, in case you want to see how good he is. If he is allowed to do his thing, he can take Volbeat to new heights without a doubt!

@@MichaelHolmgaard Yeah it's not like Rob's parts were hard to play. So I looked at Temple of Ekur and I can tell he's not comfortable playing the songs yet as he's looking at his fretboard a lot, I do that when a song is new to me too, but give me a bit and I can play it with my eyes closed. Looking at Shotgun Blues and he doesn't know the solos well yet, his main focus was getting the rhythm parts down first, a lot to do in a week. Anyways, It took me a long time to get into Rob, but I never liked his lead tone, just obnoxious and this guy has it too! 🤣

As a fan of Volbeat in the early days, I welcome the new guitarist for this tour. Flemming is a much better fit for Volbeat's sound compared to Rob, who's tone was too soft and with limited stage presence. Volbeat were at their best with Hank Sherman and Thomas Bredahl before him

schlecht gespielt. Hoffe Flemming übt noch etwas. Insgesamt wirkt dieser Auftritt eher wie eine Schulband. Rob hat da eine große Lücke hinterlassen.
