I really loved your tutorial, it was very helpful to me! I was trying to make the head but could not get the mouth just right, it was a great idea to use a metal ball tool to achieve this effect smoothly, since many of the plastic ball tools have a small ridge. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos!
Hi Lemichael! Thank you so much! I am actually working on the tutorial for the lid and the torso, arms and how to attach them to the man hole as we speak. Hoping to have them up by the end of the week. However I am not the best at editing so its taking me forever! I hope to have them up soon! Thanks again for your kind words!
BellaCakes & Confections Hi♡ truly inspirational... ive seen many tmnt tutorials but dis is by far the best nd most amazing... :) yr works execelent luking to morrrrr videos big fan oredy yayyy thumbs up♡
Hi Maggie!!!! Thank you so much you are so kind! I am actually working on a part 2 for the rest of the topper as we speek. Its been a crazy week but Im trying to finish filming and edit SOON!! So check back! Thanks again!
Thank you so much Rachel for the positive feedback! I am hoping to have a tutorial up in the next couple of weeks on the upper body and the rest of the topper. Thanks again appreciate your comment! :-)
Hi Loraine, when my fondant feels like it is getting soft and sticky I add a little tylose powder to it and it helps stabilize and firm it up so its easier to work with.
Thanks so very much for this tutorial!! It's fabulous! Where can the metal end shaping tools be purchased that you used in the video? Also, what are you using to attach pieces? Is it just water?
HI Deb! I use the Wilton Modeling Tool Set. You can find them at Micheals, They are a little expensive there but a great deal if you have a coupon. You can also find them on Amazon and Ebay. I use a mix of 3 tablespoons of water and one teaspoon of tylose power (edible glue) to attach the pieces. Thanks so much for your comments! :-)
While helpful to get better idea to make the turtles, would be more helpful if you added a list in the description of the tools you are using, ingrediants and how much, etc. I recognize exacto knife, but not a professional, so not sure what the tool you use to make the eyes (rounded ends). .Would love to attempt using your video, but without atleast an estimate of what I need, unfortunately I cannot. Which is too bad, because I think you did a great job! another EDIT: I did find tools via your link; would still like to see estimate of fondant needed....just my two cents anyway
Hi Angel! I do appreciate your 2 cents! ;-) Unfortunately , I am not a professional at making tutorials, but I try to help as much as I can. I use homemade fondant and a gumpaste mix (by Krazy Kool Kakes) for all my toppers. I use a kitchen scale to weigh 1.15 oz of the mix for the heads. That is the only thing I weigh everything else i do by eye balling it. If you have anything else your questioning you can always message me on my fb page! Thanks again for your helpful comments.
Hi! Thanks so much for the comment!!! I use The Wilton Modeling Tool Set. Michaels has them, Amazon carries them also if you put Wilton Character Tool Set into the search you should be able to find them.
Hi Leslie! It usually depends on how much time i have before i need it. If its short notice I use a cake board and cover it with fondant if I have at least a week or more I make it out of gumpaste and fondant 50/50 mix.
No entiendo tu idioma pero el video es muy bueno tanto que me voy a animar a hacerla a ver cómo me sale muchas gracias por estos videos que nos enseñan a las que somos aficionadas muchas gracias por compartir
Hi Pri! You can start on this at least 2 weeks before your cake needs to be finished. The fondant stays pretty fresh for a while. It will get a hard coating on the outside but stay soft and chewy on the inside. Texture is similar to a tootsie roll. You can store it in an air tight container or a cool dry damp free area. No refrigerating though, it will break down fondant.
Cathy Saint Hi Cathy sorry just noticed your comment! If your adding it to small pieces you are working with just a pinch at a time will do till you start to feel it firm up a little. I use a mix of homemade fondant and Krazy Kool Kakes gumpaste. She uses wilton fondant and adds tylose powder to it. She has a great tutorial on how to make it if you check out her channel you'll be sure to find it. It works great for making figures.
hola he visto la parte 2 y la 3 pero la 4 no la encuentro me encantaria hacerla tarta pero no se donde verla me la podias facilitar es para hacer la tarta para mi sobrinito gravias y un saludo desde valencia españa
BellaCakes & Confections is yours premade/store bought ? or homemade mmf? Because with homemade mmf I DEF have to keep adding it. I was using homemade and I think i get better results with premade. should i constantly be adding it to premade as well?
xxlocalroyaltyxx I use Krazy Kool Kakes gum paste recipe! She made a video on it. Actually its a mix of 50/50 her gumpaste recipe and my homemade mmf recipe and I add more tylose. I think the more tylose you add the more shortening you'll need because it drys out so quickly. But I like how it keeps its shape better.
esta muy lindo el trabajo pero no me podre suscribir xq no le entiendo el idioma y veo q hay muchas gente q pide la teaduccion a espamol yno lo hizo 🤔😤

BellaCakes & Confections
Thanx so much for the feedback. Is tylose powder similar to CMC powder? I believe some people roll it out on icing sugar?
Yes it is similar to CMC! :-)
