Tyler was a great pick. I don’t think some people understand how important it is to have an o line that can not only defend the QB but open up holes for the running back.
In college he covered the blind side of his left handed qb. So should be easy transition

I am a OU fan, as well as a Dallas Cowboys fan. So, I've seen a lot of Tyler Guyton.
He has all the measurables you want. He learned from Coach Bedenbaugh, who has produced a lot of Linemen that have not only made it in the NFL, but have excelled.
Now, the knock on Tyler, if he is focused, and engaged, all in? He will become a great player for Dallas. But, there were times when he wasn't at OU, you could tell, he was biding his time, to get in the draft.
One thing also about him a RT, and Dallas needing a LT. One of the best things about Bedenbaugh, he pretty much trains all of his Linemen to play every position on the line. So, Guyton will have some knowledge of playing LT.
I know, picking a OL is never a flashy pick, and we need to quit thinking we actually know of any player that is a "lock" to be a great player. It's all dice throws.
Yes Tyler is raw but his QB Dillion Gabriel was a left handed QB so guyton was protecting his blindside which was the right tackle position he played and he played it tremendously so we are gonna convert him to LT jus like how we did with Tyron smith

Some people wanted Kingsley but i think Guyton has much quicker feet. I think this was a good move for the Cowboys, now if they can get a high quality center, their line would be set for the future.

Yeah that pick was a reach lol. Great executed plan to trade back but if he was your guy and nobody else really had him up high and you had offers to trade back again in the 2nd to get him, then i would be ok i give us a A for effort and execution of a good plan. Hopefully, he's highly motivated and gets it quickly
Still need a Center but T.Guyton just needs good coaching and we have our Tackle. I like TJ Bass but we still have to draft an upgrade at Center.

"Blow some s**t up" You realize Guyton is a finesse player that struggles in the running game? I haven't seen him finish a block or maul a guy to the ground ever . More athlete than football player at this point.. I dont know why Mark and others say hey Tyler Smith worked out its lazy analysis.. There are two completely different people.. Dies Guyton have the work ethic, mindset to be the best? Tyler Smith you at least seen him dominate in college I havent seen that with Guyton.. It will take a few years if ever he develops..

I would say the issue with this was you guys gave up on picking the best center/guard and moved back and got the twelfth best tackle that espn had to keep emphasizing had some work to d. He’ll probably be fine and fit right in as Tyron smith we’ll see
What your saying is very true, but the need for more draft picks was important for them. As long as they don't screw up on the next picks they should be good.

I just saw Mike Fisher and his podcast. He expected this and gave the Cowboys an A on execution. They had 4 or 5 players on their board when they traded back. Got one of the Guys on their board and picked up a 3rd round pick. Execution was Good! Tyler Guyton has tremendous upside! GO COWBOYS!

Trading back was the smart move cause the cowboys ended up getting a other 3rd round pick pick 73 and that's pretty huge having 2 3rd round picks that's huge cause the cowboys don't have a 4th having an extra pick in the 3rd round is better
