- Nov.29 -- The IEA has said that if OPEC cuts production in the U.S., shale producers will race to put rigs to work and flood the market with more oil. A lot of that oil will come from the well-known Permian Basin in Texas, but some of it will also come from SCOOP and STACK in Oklahoma, fast becoming one of the hottest shale areas in the country. Continental Resources moved quickly to pick up acreage in SCOOP and STACK, and Bloomberg's Alix Steel went to visit the play to see what made it so special.
