My mom spent many summers there at her grandmother's place. My great grandparents. The house they owed is still standing. She was sent this video from one of her childhood friends who still lives there. So sad to see this but so glad to hear that no one lost a life and no one was hurt.
My mom was born and raised in Stanley.. and I'm pretty sure my grandmother is buried there.. sending love, strength and prayers to all the families.. 💜✌️🕊️
WOW! My 27 yr old daughter was born in Stanley, ~ Devastating! ~ Glad and Grateful They're a Strong Community! ~Much Love and Prayers UP for All Impacted! ~Amen
I was watching sky warn channel 13 that night until the power went out. I have talked to several people who agreed with me and said that 13 completely missed that there was a tornado here.
I was just sleeping in bed all comfy during this, and then my sister told me that we were going to get hit by a tornado. Even though the tornado was already confirmed to come towards our home, my "Grandmother" (put in quotations because I think she's fucking insane) claims to be God and said that the tornado should just go by us and not harm us. When we were outside, we felt the wind gust violently and the rain was insane. Of course my "Grandmother" didn't let us take cover until she said so, (one of the reasons she's insane) and me, my sister, and my two cousins were all thinking our "Grandmother" was going to get us killed and go with us. Luckily she let us take cover finally and just like she said, it went past us. (still not going to believe she's sane) You can probably tell I hate my "Grandmother". I had another one who passed away recently who actually had a soul, and fully understood me and didn't have so much difficulty learning the way I am.
We need to rethink how things are built and stop building just to make a lot of money, there are new ideas being invented. We need to build things to last longer and be more sustainable.
I was in the path. Live on Garfield Street. Everyone checked on each other to make sure we were ok & they were. Cleanup crews amazing!
My friend sent this to me. She & her family were spared, thank GOD.
Thank YOU so very much for making this video!

I just visited Stanley earlier this year. Great town with a lot of friendly people, sad that this happened to you.
So sorry…horrible! My brother and family all live in Stanley. So much amazing cleanup already happening. Take care & be safe.
Tornados in December….I’m Wisconsin !?!? Wtf is going on
Didn't even know one hit there
Snow on the ground and a tornado...that has to be a first. At least with no deaths there's a silver lining.
Appreciate you for this!
Awesome coverage thanks watch at playback 1.75!

Nice aerial shots of the damage
