Monsta or originally named Animonsta was one of famous animation studio in Malaysia along with Les Copaque and Wau Animation. Boboiboy was their first animation series and known throughout SE Asia and internationally. Now Monsta will release a new animation title Mechamato which show stories about Boboiboy's father, Amato with his robot friend, Mechabot. They also have mini series featuring side characters in Boboiboy.

My nephew loves the animation Boboiboy so i do know some of the characters.
Boboiboy (boy in yellow) is the main character who lives with his grandfather. I could be wrong but Boboiboy's father (in red) is introduced pretty recently. He's working as a guardian in space, and has to regrettably leave his son in the grandfather's care.
I bet u should be here soon & get to know our lovely variety cultures & places…coz I hv a friends from State too & they really impressed about our country & life here too🥰
I'm from Malaysia and Monsta always translate their movies and some ads. For Eidul Fitri ad they make special for Malaysia. Sometimes they don't have the voice actors to do the English version.
It's a routine now, waiting for ur reaction to Raya ads in the morning, a little break between work at home during MCO..haha
Btw, some words in Malaysian videos might not been translated because it is originally from other languages, like in this ad, ummi is in Arabic, means mother,..you might find other languages as well in future video reaction, maybe word in Chinese, Tamil, etc...most of these words are generally accepted and will not be translated, but foreigners might not get it, the best is to ask for explaination in the comment, and I'm pretty sure a lot of us will be happy to explain 😁
Also in this ad, they use the word Eidulfitri, while u might see others usually use Aidilfitri..the origin is Arabic, Eid-al-fitri (عيد الفطر)..other term that associated with Hari Raya are Syawal (from the month of Syawal in Islamic/Hijri calendar, raya is on the 1st day of Syawal), Hari raya puasa, because the raya is celebrated after a month long of fasting (puasa)..

Btw, as commented by others, Monsta is actually an animation studio. You may react to their animation - BoBoiBoy.. And yes, the video quality is Disney-like/Pixar-like, but with details and hints of Malaysian identity/culture.

There are three generation in the vid, the one in yellow shirt was Boboiboy and baby Boboiboy in light purple. The one in red was Amato, Boboiboy's father and the young him also in red. The Tok Aba was Boboiboy's grandpa and yes the one with mouth ache was him when younger that's why their voice was the same.

I think they have to be dubbed by Los Angeles based American voice actors like Colleen O'shaughnessey, Tara Strong, Bryce Papenbrook, Cindy Robinson, Keith silverstein, Troy baker, Mona Marshall, Matthew Mercer, Cristina Vee, Mela Lee, Steve Blum,etc

Various ways we address our aunts & uncles. I call my mom's sisters as wan and my dad's sister as mak. Some ppl use wan to refer to their grandma or grandpa. Mak could also be used to refer to your mom. I call my mom mama and dad abah. But I call my mom's brothers as ayah but others use ayah to refer to their dad. For example ayah long is eldest uncle cos long is the short form for sulong meaning eldest in family. So ayah long's wife will be mak long. Foreigners find it confusing because we also call all our parents' friends and older neighbours as uncles (pakcik/ pak in malay) and aunties (makcik/ mak in malay). Sometimes our pak long is is not even a blood relative but is an elder in the village.
All the animations movie like Ejen Ali , Boboiboy and upin ipin is available in netflix and you can watch it 😄
I suggest you to watch it in Malay version though the movie has english version because the sound will be a little bit more different than the original Malay version
Try watching Boboiboy The Movie 1 trailer & Boboiboy The Movie 2 trailer...then see if you like the movies, maybe you can watch them with your daughter... And I watched the movie Phezz was talking about, Big Hero Six... It was such a good movie, hoping for BHS 2...😊
