- Mixing Porsche performance with hybrid power. Introducing the all-new 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, Porsche's most expensive and best looking non-911 supercar that they've ever produced. By combining 2 electric motors (1 in the back and 1 in the front) pumping out 114 horsepower and 127 horsepower respectively, and a 4.6-liter 580 horsepower V8 placed behind the seats for better weight distribution, what you have is an epic 821 horsepower super fast green machine (technically 795 since electric motors don't add up in such a manor). So for those wondering, "Why do the 918 Spyder & 918 Spyder Concept sound funny", it's because Criterion have correctly replaced the botched flat-6 sound with its correct V8 engine noise (yes, the concept has a V8 as well, straight from the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2). It's not the most powerful hybrid in the world (McLaren P1 @ 903 hp and Ferrari F70 "claim" 950 horsepower), but it's powerful nonetheless, and it's capable of many, many things. Let me show you as I fling it around Fairhaven International Airport, now at my disposal in Fairhaven City. Enjoy!

flat out fully upgraded this car will do 190-200mph on the airport runway without NOS being used. make sure you use long gears pro! it accelerates slow in 5th and 6th gear, never been in 7th pretty slow for a car with 887hp including Hy-Kers but then again it almost as heavy as a veyron ss
And this car runs so smoothly fast. It can run at speeds of upto 360 km/h with FULL Pro Mods.
You're wrong with your assumption about the V8 engine of the Porsche 918 Spyder. It is still the wrong engine sound. The 918 Spyder have a Flat-Plane V8 engine which means it's a race engine like a Ferrari V8 engine and it sounds very light not like a heavy cross-plane V8.

Yeah, it's supposed to sound close to the Carrera GT. Play nfs hot pursuit, the concept sounds like it should (918 in that game doesn't sound like it does in this game)

This is the 918 Spyder! It has a roof that you can put on and take off!
918 Spyder and the 918 Spyder Concept are similiar in terms of visual aesthetics. The 918 Spyder is the Weissach Package variant while the Concept is only a prototype variant.
