The Shadow Realm was a simple yet great concept to explain what happened to the characters. It never once crossed my mind they died, but that they actually did lose their soul and it went to the shadow realm, still alive, but in a zombie like state. Since Pegasus was able to bring them back, it really seemed like it could be reversed and therefore, not death.

The fruit juice line is actually in the dub. Static Shock is a legit superhero. Only most of the losers of games in the Japanese anime were actually killed. Occasionally they have their minds shattered, get sent to hell, or are in an unnamed catatonic state. In those cases they can come back. But all of these things are referred to as "the shadow realm" in the dub.
I had Magic Cards when i started. I was somewhat confused when I pulled out Spell cards one day :P But hell, 2,222 cards?! How could he possibly form any strategy?! No, actually you're the one who's wrong. When you're saying a Japanese name, the surname always precedes the given name and in the spirit of the Uchiha clan, you'd probably be killed for putting an Uchiha's given name before their surname if you spoke to one in person.
The reason so many rules and cards are different in the anime and manga (like Call of the Haunted being a spell card, for example) is because the manga and anime came first. Cards were changed when brought to real life, so blame Konami. Rules were also changed when the game was brought to real life most likely because Kazuki Takahashi didn't expect this to become a real-life game, so things changed to bring balance to the game. Duelist Kingdom was also established early on to have "different rules", as mentioned by characters in-universe, so I don't count the Mako duel as "ridiculous".
Few more facts: as we all know, the show does things differently sometimes from the card game. - Toon World was required to summon toon monsterals otherwise theyre destroyed or unplayable...iirc. - Undead monsters were indestructible (season 1). - in the Yugioh movie Pyramid of Light, the card Pyramid of Light was the only card that would detain the god cards.

about crawling dragon n2: if i recall, in yu gi oh forbidden memories, you use this card to substitute a fusion materal dragon monster from a fusion "summon", despite not being a dragon monster (cant rly understand how YOFM is still so loved - i mean, it WAS the very first yu gi oh game for many people, including me, but because it has lots of variations from the original rules - as if there were any back in 1997/99 - as well as being a huge RNG-based game, it just made me to bet this once just for the sake of beating one of my favorite childhood game and that is it).

The fruit juice line is actually in the dub. Static Shock is a legit superhero. Only most of the losers of games in the Japanese anime were actually killed. Occasionally they have their minds shattered, get sent to hell, or are in an unnamed catatonic state. In those cases they can come back. But all of these things are referred to as "the shadow realm" in the dub.

Which is an opposing effect to Ryu Kokki's that does the same to Warriors and Spellcasters, so they each destroy the other. Was a bit disappointed he missed that tidbit in the video. I knew there was a connection between the two, and now I know what it is.

No, actually you're the one who's wrong. When you're saying a Japanese name, the surname always precedes the given name and in the spirit of the Uchiha clan, you'd probably be killed for putting an Uchiha's given name before their surname if you spoke to one in person.

The reason so many rules and cards are different in the anime and manga (like Call of the Haunted being a spell card, for example) is because the manga and anime came first. Cards were changed when brought to real life, so blame Konami. Rules were also changed when the game was brought to real life most likely because Kazuki Takahashi didn't expect this to become a real-life game, so things changed to bring balance to the game. Duelist Kingdom was also established early on to have "different rules", as mentioned by characters in-universe, so I don't count the Mako duel as "ridiculous".

Few more facts: as we all know, the show does things differently sometimes from the card game.
