  • 'The Black History Man,' as he has noted to do, again did this homework. I was familiar with the destruction wreaked on the prosperous Tulsa Oklahoma business district in 1921. But I had no idea that black folks, just 56 years after enslavement, were operating on such a lofty level. It just shows us what we are a capable of once we recognize that the other folks' ice is not colder than ours. It also underscores the damage that integration has done to us. @@chuckpenn8082 I've been following the black history man for some time now...and as much as he is one of if not one of the most important men we need in this time his sense of humor is what makes his very academic approach and work more digestible...there is absolutely nothing I could add or take away...so plz don't take offense...Brother

This was very well done! However, people always seem to talk about the year it was destroyed and the events that brought about the destruction.
But, no one seems to talk about what has prevented us from doing it again.
The number one reason for this, in my opinion is desegregation.
We are way too attached to the white power structure, too entrenched in whiteness and have lost all will to replicate this in the 21st century! Think about it.
Everything that existed in Black Wall Street exists now. Barbers, lawyers, doctors, funeral homes, etc. and a plethora of other Black Professionals. This could be replicated 50 times over if we wanted to. We would rather be heartbroken over what we’ve lost in the past.
Rather than planning and building for our collective future!

The whole world is becoming increasingly and irrevocably desegregated.

I agree, but blacks are the only ones that seem to be desegregated and happy to be that way. the Asians, Arabs, Jews, Indians still stick together and no one can penetrate their communities. we have sunken into moral decay, so rebuilding black wall street or any other street is unfathomable to us.

Many ppl had grand pianos in their homes which was a sign of having money in those days.
