Unlike any other African islands, the timeless atmosphere is the perfect remedy for island wanderlust. The options for activities and little escapes are endless and locals are extremely excited to show you their favourite spots, hidden little gems and the best walks. You can easily arrange to go on a boat ride to one of the neighbouring islands or sandbanks. The water is warm and the underwater sea life is exotic and beautiful. Go snorkelling, swim with dolphins or have a picnic on an island or sandbank in the middle of the ocean. The sunsets are gorgeous. Expect to be mesmerized by skies all colours of the rainbow. The mellow and laidback atmosphere can be felt on the untouched and secluded islands. The best time to walk around is after dinner in the evening as the sun is setting and the tide is coming in. Local residents young and old are always very curious about new visitors.

Off Mocimboa da Praia I dived Quirimbas, Tambuzi island, 1961 to 1964, it is a paradise for Nature lovers and diving. Crystal sea water, rich sea creatures in a warm sea. SUPERB view from the air. Lovely corals and cute fishes. The most beautiful sea shells you can find around Tambuzi beach and waters in the Quirimbas.
