Roy Kay Aerin can even spawn near mjoll if you dismissed her as a follower, i killed aerin for that he spawned in my house in lakeview manor after dismissing mjoll
I’m sure everyone and their grandma has already commented this, but the two-handed variant is a result of the Unofficial Patch: the base game and Special Edition still give you the one-handed variant. Something tells me that even though Mjoll’s primary skill involves two handed, the one handed version of the sword is canon as she is still decent with one handed and I’m sure the sword has some sort of special meaning to her that sadly the game doesn’t get into IIRC.
is there a reason you use mods on character models for these videos? seems an odd choice considering they could potettially confuse people as to how npcs will look in their games.
I remember on my first play through I managed to get the two handed version but on later play through its always been one handed, I always thought I just imagined getting a two handed version until today
6:00 it's easier then most people think lol I got though it on my own quite quickly and still remember how to do it after 4 years of not playing skyrim
I was level 64 with 100 one handed and only about 53 two handed and I got a two handed grimsever. It's kind of funny, I got the sword yesterday snd this video conveniently came out today. Just to mention, I did most of the ruin with a two handed sword(trying to level two handed so I could level my overall level) and a bow.
Fun fact about Mjoll: while claiming to be against the Thieves' Guild, her morality score is such that she doesn't care if you steal things as long as you don't kill innocent people. I completed the entire Thieves'Guild quest chain with her as companion, and she didn't bat an eye. Rather, she remained as blandly optimistic as always, even in the middle of the Guild headquarters. It was pretty funny.
She was a one handed warior, she felt empty, defenseless without Grimsever, and THAT'S why she went to two-handed weapons, and since she is a very strong woman, she managed to two handed weapons instead. Marry her, or make her follower, give her Volendrung, The Hammer of Might, and she will favour it over almost anything you give her for a weapon, and she will be a one woman army.. no kidding, she'll kill an entire fortress on her own joining either Imperial or Stormcloak, and in many other situations.
Got Grimsever Two-Handed version. Approx Lvl 20 Nord (when i got it), two-handed based (i would say like around lvl 70), heavy armor, on computer version. + don't know if it's relevant, but i did the quest of picking it in the ruins with Mjoll.
With the Switch version of Skyrim, I made a two handed great sword using Nord and went to get the Grimsever, ended up with the one hand version of the weapon. Based on that, Grimsever, at least in the Switch version of the game, is one handed.
I was totally shocked when I found the 2-handed in SE. I had no clue such a thing was even possible. I got it in every one of my 10 or so playthroughs in vanilla.
I just did that quest and got the two handed version on PC. My two handed skill is 92 and one handed 100. I was using two handed weapon at the time so I think that's the reason.
Okay I have a fact that I thought of. So the brass tower that the Dwemer owned which also had Talos ( Tiber Septim) take control of it to conquer Tamriel for the empire, well in Ancient Greek religion there is a god of the name Talon ( translated into Talos ) that is a giant made of brass that protects Europe, we now know we're Bethesda got those ideas from
Mjoll use two-handed weapon so it make perfect sense for Grimsever to be two-handed. We already have Chillrend so there is no point having another one-handed glass sword either.
It doesn't go off your higher skill I had a character that had a higher two handed than one handed skill but ended up with the one handed variant anyway
platform: Xbox One with unofficial patch the two handed version. Also didn't have the two handed skill tree active. One handed skill tree definitely active. Also did the quest in the mid-40's levels.
I got grimsever on pc on the very first released version. And its two-handed. I was surprised when i showed to a friend since his was the one handed version.
i thout about how there was two grimsever's and here's my idea: grimsever was a two handed blade intill the fight with the centureon it broke and became a one handed blade.
Grimsever has more damange than Chillrend but chillrend is literally a lot cooler and has more "icy" features on it while grimsever looks like a plain old glass sword with those ice enchantments
Mjoll looks really weird, but your character looks amazing! I never really tried a Two-Handed build, and I never really used a Nord... After seeing this video, I'm definitely thinking of it though. Still gonna side Empire though. -Hail Caesar- -Ad Victorium- Long Live The Empire!
My character always has a higher One-Handed skill, and I've always gotten the Two-Handed Grimsever. I didn't even know there was a one-handed version. Regardless of USLEEP, and on PC.
We'll have to wait to see what version of the weapon I get on the switch :p but when I played it on pc and PS3 I managed to only get the 2h variant so I'd no idea the was a 1h. I doubt my play style would help here but I'll post it for lols. Basically I was a battlemage that used 2h weapons and all spell trees.
There's also a bug where Grimsever is missing from the Gatehouse if you have a radiant quest to pick up an item there (I ran into it with the Dwemer schematics). Figured I'd grab Grimsever while I was in the Gatehouse snyway, and it just wasn't there.
I've only ever gotten a 2 Hander on Xbox 360 and PC, but I've also only ever gotten around to doing the quest late game when I'm bored and have run out of exciting main quests
I think I had a glitch a long time ago, I had never started this quest and i'm pretty sure I was going through the ruins for another quest, I killed the centurion, and Chillrend was sitting there. I might be remembering that wrong, I might have just found grimsever without doing the quest to get it.
Another thing that's a bit odd about the variants of Grimsever, is that it always spawns next to a shield. This would imply that Mjoll carried a shield with her as well? So does that make it a one handed weapon so the shield can be used with it?
i got the one-handed maybe it is based on your skill tree these are my skills for One-handed and two-handed (one-handed 80) (two-handed 75) BTW im playing on Xbox 360
What the fuck was Aerin doing outside of Mzinchaleft?! He's always saying he'll "venture out" to see if the rest of Skyrim is different to Riften, but if you ask me, going to the Pale, picking up a fully armoured, wounded adventurer and going back is plenty enough traveling to make an estimate on how the rest of Skyrim is. To get to Mzinchaleft, you have to go through the Rift, Eastmarch, Whiterun and the Pale!
Chillrend is better as its strongest version is stronger than the one handed Grimsever variant, not only in base damage, but also in enchantment and it's cooler looking. Your better off letting Mjoll keep Grimsever or make a glass sword of the same name but stronger. Speaking of chillrend, camelworks can you do Chillrend?
6:35 "Make your way down safely.."
***Jumped off from the ledge***
YOLO
haha! 4:26:
Brynjolf: Make love like a Sabrecat
I cracked up
o0 Aero 0o i re watched it and craked up when i heard it
o0 Aero 0o so I did hear that right
I thought I was the only one who noticed (lol). I was going to comment this exact thing!
4:24
Mjoll: Eren standing over me tending my wounds
Brynjolf: MAKE LOVE LIKE A SABER CAT
Perfect cut. Two skyrim goats in the same cutscene.
Good god that mod makes Mjoll look like a fucking barbie doll.
That's what makes her so pretty!
I don't like this mod. I don't want to see beautiful women dying :(.
Blue Eyed Beautiful my ass. She looks like she got worked over by Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon.
Mjoll can't die, she is an awesome tank put her in heavy armour, give her Volondrung, and you have a one woman army :D
As Mjoll seems to have more aptitude in Two handed weapons, the Greatsword variant is likely tơ be legit
6:37 make your way down safely. *jumps off the ledge*
Do as İ say, not as İ do :)
Always found it creepy how Aerin follows her even after you marry her.
Roy Kay Aerin can even spawn near mjoll if you dismissed her as a follower, i killed aerin for that he spawned in my house in lakeview manor after dismissing mjoll
@@codfreaks2817 I made mjoll kill Aerin once I got her as a follower lol
I like Aerin he makes the house less alone like when I have 5 rooms but no Npc's
Simp
@T Bush
Yes he is.
Enjoy Grimsever! Sorry for the delay, had a weekend full of weddings and birthdays!
Understandable Camel!!
What a coincidence, I had a weekend full of birthings, and weddays!
Camelworks please do more morrowind I just started playing it for the first time and I want things to do in it
Camelworks
can you get the weapon without accepting the quest
Vittoria Vici's wedding?
I’m sure everyone and their grandma has already commented this, but the two-handed variant is a result of the Unofficial Patch: the base game and Special Edition still give you the one-handed variant. I just love Mjoll voice acting. I pushes all the right buttons for me.
"Make your way down safely", he says, as he jumps head first into a stone floor filled with falmer
I've never actually seen the one-handed variant. All these years, I'd only ever come across the two-handed version.
is there a reason you use mods on character models for these videos? seems an odd choice considering they could potettially confuse people as to how npcs will look in their games.
OfficialChrissums it's not exactly hard to work out is it?! Just need some common sense😂
sure but if youre making a guide video changing stuff doesnt seem sensible to me.
True, for guide videos a lot of its views are going to be by new players. Using modded npc models has and will confuse people.
I remember on my first play through I managed to get the two handed version but on later play through its always been one handed, I always thought I just imagined getting a two handed version until today
6:00 it's easier then most people think lol I got though it on my own quite quickly and still remember how to do it after 4 years of not playing skyrim
"Make your way down safely," *proceeds to jump all the way down*
I got Grimsever as a one handed sword, on XB360. My One Handed was higher than my Two Handed, if that meant anything.
I don't remember the iron armor looking so... revealing
It's Valhalla Barbie
When you're not expecting your eardrums to explode 6 seconds in, but then they do.
"once up here push the button and make your way down safely"(jumps off tower)
“Make your way down safely” -jumps off the tower-
I was level 64 with 100 one handed and only about 53 two handed and I got a two handed grimsever. It's kind of funny, I got the sword yesterday snd this video conveniently came out today. Just to mention, I did most of the ruin with a two handed sword(trying to level two handed so I could level my overall level) and a bow.
I'm on ps4/PS3 and I've ALWAYS gotten the one handed version
Fun fact about Mjoll: while claiming to be against the Thieves' Guild, her morality score is such that she doesn't care if you steal things as long as you don't kill innocent people.
I completed the entire Thieves'Guild quest chain with her as companion, and she didn't bat an eye. Rather, she remained as blandly optimistic as always, even in the middle of the Guild headquarters. It was pretty funny.
"make your way down safely" jumps off a massive stair case
When I last played, I made her a Stahlrim Greatsword, enchanted it with the same (albeit stronger) one and called it Grimsever MK II... just sharing
She was a one handed warior, she felt empty, defenseless without Grimsever, and THAT'S why she went to two-handed weapons, and since she is a very strong woman, she managed to two handed weapons instead. I can't get enough of mjoll's nord accent... And that mod is one of the best
I love the Skyrim kill cam where your character swings once without actually hitting the enemy's neck.
Way to telegraph that, not that it matters.
Got Grimsever Two-Handed version.
Approx Lvl 20 Nord (when i got it), two-handed based (i would say like around lvl 70), heavy armor, on computer version.
+ don't know if it's relevant, but i did the quest of picking it in the ruins with Mjoll.
if someone is interrested and that "mystery" (more likely just a bug)
The wait is over another video. Good work Camel. I'm loving skyrim with mods only PS4, but still enjoyable. Wish my game looked as good as yours :)
She's my follower on my current playthrough, idk why but i really like her, her comments and her look (cause i have a mod that change her look)
6:30 thats a button camel

I like Mioll the Lioness voice.
Of all the hours and years I have put into skyrim, I have never heard of Grimsever...

0:07 that. was. AWSOME!!!!!!
The first time I got grimsever it was one-handed. I wasn't detected by any enemies. I don't think that's why I got the one-handed variant.
It doesn't go off your higher skill I had a character that had a higher two handed than one handed skill but ended up with the one handed variant anyway
I found 2H variants while my chars mostly 1H users.
YOU ALREADY DID THIS EPISODE!
platform: Xbox One with unofficial patch
the two handed version. Also didn't have the two handed skill tree active. One handed skill tree definitely active. Also did the quest in the mid-40's levels.
Your videos are so soothing...I love them!!
Some say you can find this in the Ratway
I got grimsever on pc on the very first released version. And its two-handed. I was surprised when i showed to a friend since his was the one handed version.
I play on PC, Grimsever has always been one-handed for me. Even on characters with a higher two-handed skill.
On Xbox 360 and PC, I got the one-handed version every time through a good 10 playthroughs. I haven't done the quest yet on Xbox One.
At 6:20 "make your way down safely" *jumps off
I always got the two-handed. I did not know that there was a one-handed one.
I am pretty sure the 1 handed variant is the Canon one since there is a shield besides the sword when you find it.
i thout about how there was two grimsever's and here's my idea: grimsever was a two handed blade intill the fight with the centureon it broke and became a one handed blade.
Grimsever has more damange than Chillrend but chillrend is literally a lot cooler and has more "icy" features on it while grimsever looks like a plain old glass sword with those ice enchantments
Anyone notice a deep breath well describing the twohanded variant.
i got this at a very low level, i just let my helper do everything and used a bow while sneaking on the big guy
Regardless of USLEEP, and on PC.
if it's supposed to be 2 handed why is there a shield next to it when found
i got grimsever before when i said i plan to join them
We'll have to wait to see what version of the weapon I get on the switch :p but when I played it on pc and PS3 I managed to only get the 2h variant so I'd no idea the was a 1h. I doubt my play style would help here but I'll post it for lols. Basically I was a battlemage that used 2h weapons and all spell trees.
Camelworks, thanks for well done video
I just hope you have plan to make a guide for Falmer armour since showed that dwemer ruin
aerin, that bastard
he doesnt tend to mjoll at all times
There's also a bug where Grimsever is missing from the Gatehouse if you have a radiant quest to pick up an item there (I ran into it with the Dwemer schematics). Figured I'd grab Grimsever while I was in the Gatehouse snyway, and it just wasn't there.
I ran into the same issue. Seems like it only spawns with the quest
It's called chilrend you find it through the quest of the theives guild
Grimsever was a one handed weapon for me.
I didn't get the quest and I agreed with her and became thane and leveled up
i have only ever known or found this as a twohanded sword
A fight only for very skilled warriors or stealth archers or impact mages.
I had no idea there was a one handed one...
I've only even known of the Greatsword version.
outro was awesome
Camel, i didn't choose that option 'i agree completely' and i can get her sword from her inventory (having her as my follower).
Another thing that's a bit odd about the variants of Grimsever, is that it always spawns next to a shield. This would imply that Mjoll carried a shield with her as well? So does that make it a one handed weapon so the shield can be used with it?
"Simple as strings theory..." Camel
This means a fudgemuppet build is out soon right?
i got the one-handed maybe it is based on your skill tree these are my skills for One-handed and two-handed
(one-handed 80) (two-handed 75) BTW im playing on Xbox 360
maxson rich me too on that
LOL , never did this quest . Even after thousands of hours
I always thought it was just a 2h sword. Didnt know there was a 1h version.
Oh and I play mostly on 360.
I cleared this place, but my destruction magic blew the sword away and I never found it, then I got the quest…
I only ever found it as a two handed weapon. That was on my PS3, and my 360.
Hmm, a puzzle involving levers that ends with turning a valve.
Why does that sound like a reference?
I subbed cause the jokes and puns haha I love it
I got grimsever at a low level
I usally sneak past the hard enemy's to get at it it's my go to sword at the start of the game
The whole thing seems ratherGRIM, centurion attacks are always SEVERE.
Xbox 360, I was a tank I believe at level 20, i also got the one handed version also.
It’s literally the same enchantment as chillrend. And basically the same design and dmg.
years i have played skyrim, i always find it as two handed sword o.O
this is odd, he said that the one-handed one is more common, but I've played through the game 4 or 5 times, and I've never seen a one-handed version.
I had a higher one-handed skill, but i still got the two-handed varient, so it's not based off what skill is higher.
her hair tho. is that a thirst trap mod???
What happens if I have already spoken to her but didn't select the option "I agree completely"????
I can't play even vanilla without the unofficial patches.
hi there~ Are you going to do a video on merunes razor? (please correct me if my spelling is wrong lol)
