Dia de Los Muertos - Lighting Of Catrina 2023 Zihua, Mexico

The original La Catrina was created in 1910 by Mexican illustrator and print maker Jose Guadalupe Posada as a social critique. Today she is engrained in Mexican culture and many people dress up as her for Dia de Los Muertos to honor their ancestors and to remind themselves they are not immortal. This was the lighting ceremony in Zihuatanejo Mexico for 2023 at Kioto Plaza.
