I love your video! You made so many good points! I just wanted to add some insight from my experience transferring from a state college to a university. Currently, I am a biology Ph.D. student at A&M. As I look back on my college career, I absolutely regret going to a state college. It saved me money, but I felt totally unprepared when I entered my third-year STEM classes (i.e. chemistry, calculus). I needed so much more tutoring and extra studying to catch up with my peers. Eventually I did, but it was a struggle. So I advise STEM majors to spend the extra money doing all four (or five) years in a university. While you might regret it if you change your major, it will be worth it if you stay in STEM. I see so many students drop out of STEM degrees because the difficulty outweighs the passion. It’s even harder if you’re unprepared I like was. If you aren’t pursing a STEM degree, 100% go to a state college! You will save SO much money and will probably have a better time lol😂. I honestly loved my state college experience!

Vicki don’t worry about the “Red Neck Tan” if driving your pickup and hanging your left arm out the window you get the same results.

I fully agree with you about the smaller schools I went to TSTC and both my older sister and younger brother went to Baylor U communication degrees and both are fine selling high risk insurance ten years later, me I’m retired averaged $120 K since college with zero debt from college. And now I’m planning on attending Texas A&M in Galveston not for a pay check but for my own goals and the paper to hang on the wall. And I can afford it.

engineering majors will be set behind in ETAM and getting their desired major will be difficult if they go through blinn. they might not even get in, but other majors it prob works for.

So your disappointment because you didn’t go to parties lol. Honey join the crowd my daughter did 2 years at a local college as well & was a transfer to A&M Galveston then move out to CS for her senior year. Every body college experience is different. Your top 10-12 things is not going to stop people from going to college or A&M. Let everyone have their own experience. Instead of complaining be grateful that you were able to go even if you couldn’t attend during covid life isn’t easy. My daughter is A&M proud maybe it’s because we’re Hispanic and everything does come easy for us and most the time our college have pay their own way.. Be grateful for your experience and move on..
