Geraldine you’re right. Chemo is not a pleasant experience but I found that watching a funny movie or my favorite movie on my IPad made the time go by faster and was great distraction from the actual event. Stay positive. It helps the overall outcome.
Thank you for sharing your journey. I was diagnosed tgis year and am already on treatment number six. I am still trying to figure it all out. You sound so full of energy, how? I now have a cold that I am trying to eid myself of. Did you experience anything like that? I am having trrouble eating. Most of the snacks you mentioned I am alergic to. Do you have any advice? This post was 2 years ago. How are you today?
I have uteran and cervical cancer, my 1st out of 6 treatment's starts on June 30th 2023, 1 treatment every 3 weeks, 3 treatment's then another ct scan, dr's exam, if tumor shrunk, surgery to remove my problem organs, then another 3 rounds of chemo, I have waist length hair so losing my hair scares me to death, I am VERY self conscious, I have bought a few chemo hats, so if I need to go out I have something to wear, I've already decided that once my hair starts falling out and you can tell, I am going to go shave my head so my severe anxiety doesn't land me in the hospital from a panic attack...(again), how is your health now??
My health is great and my state of mind is what keeps me at peace. I understand everyone's journey is different. If I had to tell you anything it would be to have peace, don't allow anxiety to rob you of getting well. I'm a believer, and God did not give us the spirit of fear or anxiety. They are tormenting and have us concentrating in the area of, WHAT IF. I can remember every time it was time for me to go to a Dr's appointment I would become anxious, sad and fearful. I realized that I felt this way because I was anticipating bad news, but I was receiving good reports. I was being robbed of my victory because I was anticipating the worst. We can't focus on the what ifs, just take this one day at a time. Make the declaration that "I AM HEALED" until it manifests. I pray God gives you peace on your journey and reveals his presence to you as you go through this journey.

Yes, a Bible! That would be first in my bag. I am surprised at how few people bring the Scriptures with them.
