      @@SuyinOng Well, I just started with RM100 (with RM150 deposits monthly), so of course the returns are still not really visible. But since I'm really busy with uni work, I've decided to make this my primary investment for now.
      And I plan to branch out to try out other types of investments during sem break, maybe something like REITs. Any suggestions for this newbie investor?

    • @SuyinOng
      @SuyinOng  5 лет назад

      Aidan Chong you are definitely on the right track! I love your forward thinking. REITs are a great introductory asset after Index Funds. Easy enough to check out the fundamentals of the business and also to see how they might perform in the next decade or so and also being able to see how they are acquiring and disposing of their property assets over time. And great for DIVIDENDS!

    StashAway seems good. But why StashAway out of all the other robos? For a start, the management fee is not the lowest among robos.

    • @SuyinOng
      @SuyinOng  3 года назад

      Good point. For me, what matters is what they are buying: the ETF mix itself. I like what they offer and also another more nuanced reason is that I want to invest with the most stable of them all, so they can be part of my journey for the next 40-60 years. From my POV, I’d bet that the robo with the largest AUM (asset under management) and has good funding will be the one that can last the test of time.
      Just my opinion, i could be wrong too

    1.1% in fees per year. If I invested RM100,000.00 my annual fee is RM1,100.00 ?

    • @SuyinOng
      @SuyinOng  4 года назад

      If you invest more, the management fees are reduced. For 100k, it’s 0.6% p.a instead of 0.8%.
      So should be slightly less
