I was in Makati a very long time ago, 1980. Almost 43 years ago.I spent six weeks there and loved it very much.
I LOVE the Filopino people !!!,
I was in the hospital for 7 months in St Catharines Canada and MOST of the doctors nurses and nurse aides were Filipino.I made many friends there are the girls brought me LUMPIA !

Yes there are wonderful nightlife places in the Philippines were you can have a great time. But also there are beautiful beaches, mountains and plenty of historical places to see. Great shopping malls in Manila, delicious food everywhere. I was stationed over there for 4 years and really tried to see everything. Salamat po Manila Girl for sharing this video.

that's great! I really recommend foreigners to visit around the beaches and mountains where sometimes there are lot of activities opened for all types of tourist
No body cares about damn malls
Burgos Street will never be the same again. I had the opportunity to go there about six or seven times before the pandemic and it was pretty crazy. The videos of the action I've seen post pandemic seems lame. I realize things change and this is how it is. You can probably get what you want there, but doesn't look as fun. Especially so many of the girly / bikini bars closed. Oh well.
The effects of the pandemic is still being felt world wide and globally we are not in full recovery yet. Humans are adaptable, the place will go back to being fun and raucous soon for sure. Flight prices and the prices of lodgings just have to come down a bit and then we will see it come back

Filling station & the CEBUANA restaurant there is nothing , just go to Thailand, it’s light years ahead in every way .

I stayed in Makati for 11 months in 1990-91 being a student in Asian Institute of Management.I love that place and peoples
This seemed quite dead, maybe an off night but didn't see many people and definitely very few women.
Am coming to the Philippines in the 1st march ..I can't wait 🤣

I have been there several times despite my place is far from Montalban Rizal we used to bike all the way to this place for 3hours. It's different nightlife as compared to my place Montalban Rizal soo this is the place I will spend the whole night roaming around the streets.

My lady had a couple of cousins..I guess..who were cops. Difficult to distinguish between PNP and private security sometimes. The private security guys had better sidearms.

Lol, I guess many foreigners think that Makati is only Poblacion and only on P Burgos between Makati Ave and Kalayaan Ave. I have to admit there is a lot of night life there and even more along Kalayaan---some great dance clubs that have nothing to do with the "Red Light". I do like to stay in the Century City area but my best nights out were at A Venue night market with live music and food stalls----but I think that may now be closed down. I do like the other end of Makati also---Greenbelt, Salcedo, Legazpi. It is sad that many foreign tourists only know the Red Light areas when there is so much to see-----but hey, it is a business

I’m coming there in April, traveling all around Manila, first stop Ermita then 2 hotels near p burgos then maybe last 3 nights in pasay, I heard Manila traffic is terrible, how long would it take from p burgos to Manila airport terminal 1 in a grab taxi ?

i say, you also try going to the BGC which is a good entertaining place. In Pasay city, you can visit the Mall of Asia and the casinos around it. There's a bus at the side of the Mall of Asia going to the Casino such as Okada, Solair, and Resorts World. The traffic is terrible on rush hours. There's not much traffic at around 10am to 4pm.
Also, if coming from P.Burgos to Manila airport terminal 1, it's probably 45mins to 1hour. Hope this helps 😊

I do love theatre as I go every Saturday here in London to the west end so be interesting to see a live show in Manila

Another helpful thing would be if tourists come back in droves. Tourists make the place lively and so far the volume of tourists has not come back. I was back there recently, during the day, and it was not very lively but as I stated, I saw very few foreigner tourists.

like the usual. If you're busy, lots of laundry shop here. If you own a washing machine do it at home. If you don't own one, do it by hand, or hire someone to do it for you

Not a silly question. I consider that an important thing to know when traveling too. When I was there, I took my clothes to a place where they wash, dry, and fold your clothes for you. They charge by the kilogram. And, if I'm not mistaken it was a 1 kg minimum charge. Don't remember price. But, it was like 10 years ago.
