I finally finished it!! I took my time, listened, read along, and annotated. This middle-aged woman certainly felt seen lol. I'm just happy to get a 5-star New Release.
I am so glad you did this vlog. I heard a glowing review and bought the book and then heard one where she didn't like it and was like oh no! This is gonna be one of those divisive books. I wanted your thoughts because a lot of the times I seem to be in line with how you feel about books 😂
I really liked this book. I thought it was well written and cohesive. I liked Mary as the main character. I also really liked the atmosphere in the book. I was intrigued by what was going on in the book. For me, this was a 5 star book.
I just finished Mary and I gave it 5 stars! I really enjoyed it! I will say I read it physically along with the audiobook and thought the audiobook was fantastic. I think if I only read it physically I probably would have gave it 4 stars but the audiobook definitely made it 5 stars. Loved the narrator and especially loved her voice for Nadine 😂
Currently reading The Change, but this is going to be my next "lady in menopause" book lol. Kinda concerned about a man writing on the subject, hope he does it well!!
I have an unpopular opinion of this book. I rated it two stars. For me, it was just all over the place & tried to do too much. I do think the author seems like a really cool guy & I'm glad so many are enjoying this one.
