I have a 5 yr old female seal mink bicolor named Hazel Rose, a 4 yr old male traditional blue point. Bothered ragdoll - same dad, different moms. Toby is very laid back, loves to be petted but is not much of a cuddle except when he wants it. Hazel Rose is my healer. As I was going through radiation for cancer and then after my 2vheart attacks, she was always close to me and took care of me. We have a special relationship. Toby is closer to Carol, my spouse of 31 years. About 4 months ago, we got a 15 wk Maine Coon kitten. We named her Lizzie May. I managed to survive her early kittenhood :-). She about 8 1/2 months now - still really active but calmer than when she was younger. She's extremely loving, craves closeness. I feel like that will continue. Hazel Rose is more tolerant of her now. I think they would have bonded earlier had Lizzie May been more submissive but she's very confident, in your face kinda cat. They all are joys to have and love. I could do with a few less litter boxes. We have 4 and they keep me busy. Wouldn't trade any of them for anything. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing.
Thank your for sharing the story about your little angels Hazel Rose, Lizzie May, and Toby! I loved reading about it. What a beautiful family you got :)
I have one ragdoll cat named Anastasia Neve. I call her Tasia for short. She's a blue lynx point. I rescued her from a shelter. She's about 13 months old now. She doesn't like being held at all. She had never seen a cat toy until I brought her home. Toys scared her at first. Now, two months later, she plays heavily with them. She loves to walk around with them in her mouth. She also loves playing fetch. She is very food motivated so I've taught her to high five and clicker trained her. Adopting Tasia has been the best decision I have ever made.
I have 2 ragdoll cats from the same litter. They are 4 year's old. I named them Pablo and Lulu. They make me smile and laugh every day. I love them to bits. They never leave my side when I am home. They both have different personalities. They are the best for companionship. Aww, mine play, too. Mine do not like you closing doors on them. They are so funny ❤❤❤❤❤
There's so much truth that cats (having any pet in general) just raise your overall level of contentment and happiness. We think its been a year since we brought Ajani in from being a stray (really should have made a note of the date) and a few months later we brought in Jace and not a day goes by that I don't laugh and feel the big bubbles of happiness just having them in our lives. Never be able to go back to not having a cat.
This is one of the most adorable videos!!! I love Ragdoll kitties and have for years. I would adopt two right away, but have an allergy to cats. However, I did adopt a Domestic SH kitty - a Tuxedo cat - and love her dearly!!! She too has helped me through the years of sadness following the death of my husband at a young age. Fortunately, I don't seem to be very allergic to my Flora Joy! I do take Allegra each day, but feel so grateful that I am not badly allergic to her. She is the love of my life!!! ❤Thank you for this adorable video! 🎉
I watched your videos when preparing for getting my own two kittens who are half ragdoll/half norwegian forestcat. And now, having had my babies for over three months I couldn't be happier. They make my days so much better, they are so cute and funny. Your videos helped me prepare for them to have the best life I can give them with proper food and enrichment, and I'm so grateful that you share your life with Arya and Teemo❤️ my kittens are also door dashers and vocal at times, so I'm glad to hear I'm not alone!
7:03 - Coincidentally, I was watching a YT short where a cat jumped out of his caretaker's bike, so I guess this problem is more common than people think. I've seen people haul dogs on bikes with little enclosed trailers; perhaps this will work for cats, as well.
Also keeping their long fur pretty takes much time. 😊 I would love to get a ragdoll but I can't handle the brushing. 😢 Teemo and Arya are so sweet and cute! 🥰
I have 2 long hair cats. One Ragdoll & one Himalayan. I decided i have to learn to be a groomer. So, i brush both cats every morning. It takes very little time & because i do this every am, i catch matts at their very beginning. They can’t get out of the bedroom until they have been brushed, so they cooperate then line up at the door zoom out to freedom.
Loved Your video. My friend has purchased a ragdoll cat it's about 4 months old at this point and she just loves it. I'm going to send her your video just so she can enjoy it as well. Ragdoll cats are entertaining and very social. Thank you for making this video. And by the way Teemo and Arya are just beautiful 😍!!!
We had a Ragdoll, he was a rescue. He was 10, and he was the biggest love muffin. We spent a little over two beautiful years with him. He was the best kitty. This month will be a year without him. Gosh, I miss him tremendously.
How nice going down memory lane with you, Arya and Teemo since they were little furballs arriving at your apartment three years ago. I remember the Box fort and Lego train, and all the awesome ideas for enrichment you have provided me with! While my boys are not Ragdolls because I am a Siamese nut, Arya and Teemo were very influential in my decision to finally bring Austen and Jasper home! I was considering other breeds and, in hindsight, a Ragdoll to balance out ONE Siamese kitten could have been a solid option! But everything you shared is really pretty universal with our pets. My boys, and their Dachshund baby sister Hildy have brought SO MUCH love and affection, and give much more than they expect in return. Here’s to many years and many more adventures with the Cat Butler, Arya and our Teemo! 🎉 Cheers! Michael Albuquerque NM USA
Michael thank you for being on the journey all this time. I am very grateful for your support and always love hearing about your beautiful family! Are you planning anything special for Austen, Jasper, and Hildy this holiday? :D
@@TheCatButler youmare so welcome! I was tempted with the Lego train! Being Jewish I do not put up a tree so no climbing excursions! Just stockings with some of their favorite treats and toys! Will be visiting your store! They “killed” the furry creature on the tether we got from you, dragging it around the house then promptly waking me up with the creature on my bed! Loving children!!! Happy holidays to you Arya and Teemo!!! Hugs, Michael Austen, Jasper and Hildy, Albuquerque NM USA
This is my favorite channel to watch! I can't believe they're 3 already!! Are they flame-point ragdolls? Their coat colors and ocean-blue eyes are soo gorgeous!!
@The Cat Butler, This is a BEAUTIFUL Testimony about your sweet babies, I have a 3 year old Boy that’s an only cat, if only I knew when he was younger to get him a sister or brother but he was a rescue and the only one, he was all alone, I’m trying to give him the best life I can, your videos are Very Inspirational, Thank you so much. My cat Portugal (Porter) actually watched this with me.
@@TheNomadicJamaican I have 2 cats I feed outside my house, when I got the female spaded my Porter wasn’t happy that she was in his house, he’s very territorial, if I didn’t have the female cat in a cage he might have hurt her, my boy is 12 pounds and the outside female cat is half his size only weighs about 6 pounds, my cat sees her through the window and gets mad, my cat is a rescue, he has horrible scars, whatever happened before I got him damaged him, he’s terrified of every noise peopled and hides with other cats he hides but then comes out aggressive, I love my 2 outside cats but I’m so afraid to bring them in
Thank you for sharing your story! Porter has an amazing cat parent. Its possible you can introduce them slowly in a protected situation like two separate carriers, just give them time to sniff each other. It usually takes time and patience. Maybe several weeks. My friend had a similar type of cat and a gradual introduction worked and the cats are best friends now. Hope that helps!
I also have 2 ragdolls, one 16 years old and one 14. They don’t cuddle, probably because they were not litter mates, but they do love on each other. I have had a Siamese type cat (love the blue eyes) since I was 13 and I have now learned how to train them with single words. It takes time and repetition but it’s worth it to know the my babies won’t run outside when the door opens. I also do not let any of my cats outside, they stray cats carry to many diseases that I don’t want my babies to catch and it doesn’t need to take contact with the stray to get.
The long haired shedding is the only complaint I have about my ragdoll. It’s like it’s in the air. I can lint roll my clothes and still be covered in fur. You MUST invest in a robot vacuum. I’m afraid to make food for people and they end up with fur in their food.
So beautiful I got a ragdoll on June this year she was 5 weeks old ...for the last few days she's been very picky to eat any help ?? What do you feed your cats ? I'm so stressed out
I have a pair too, also male and female (from different litters). And their personality is complete opposite of yours, haha. The boy is my velcro, and the girl is the vocal chilled one.
I have a question if I may. We have a female Ragdoll, 3 months old. She does not like being on arms, on hands etc. I heard that Ragdolls love it but in our case, it is totally opposite. Is it because of the age that it is just kitten and can be changed in the future? or rather, she has such character and will be the same in the future when she will be adult? Could you please share your opinion and experince on that?
It could be the age. My female ragdoll Arya was like this till she trusted me. It was around 5 months that she started to be very affectionate and now won’t leave my side. I say give it time. 3 months is very young and they probably just came to a new home and are scared. Hope that helps!
It’s been 2 years for my first every ragdoll cat and it’s been amazing but i just can’t figure out her gastrointestinal issues even with a internal medicine Vet, she’s on prescription food with probiotics and psyllium husk for fiber but poops are solid with some blood almost every poop and vet just recommends colonoscopy but it requires two day fast and there’s a chance the vet won’t see anything Would you do a colonoscopy if this was your cats case? Vet also suggested a fecal transplant but says won’t know for sure if it will help or not
Hi sorry to hear about your issue. The poops with blood is concerning. I am currently trying fecal transplant with Arya before for her occasional diarrhea. I haven’t finished yet but I’ve seen some improvement for diarrhea. But not too knowledgeable about treating fecal transplant for blood. Link to what I have been using - click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=jK*xvkLbCBM&offerid=1214170&type=3&subid=0 If it was me I would probably get a colonoscopy just in case. This option I understand would be an expensive option. I hope that helps!
