Nice collection! I was one of the first exit sign collectors along with two other people, one who worked for Dual-Lite. They are getting harder to find vintage ones now, not like it used to be.

Exit signs are definitely not as interesting as they were and certainly a less sustainable hobby now. I remember watching “stabbed by an exit sign” when I was younger.
Oh wow small world, yes exactly them! Yeah I learned electrical wiring on mine and they are sentimental to me so I'll never get rid of them. I don't actively collect them but I will run across some every once in awhile. Need to get mine restored and displayed nice for a video eventually when I have room. @@FireAlarmDude5967
I finally got my exit sign working the other night! Since exit signs are so bright, I got eye strain after struggling to open the unit in order to disconnect the battery… 😵💫

Where do you find these? I also have a large collection of vintage dual, sure lite, lithonia, etc but I’d love to find a classic chloride. My dads shop has one on the wall from the 80s I believe but he’s gonna let me take it down and replace with a new one so I get to keep it
I used to be scared of them for that exact reason when I was little, I wouldn’t go into the bathroom alone anywhere. It still sometimes freaks me out just a phobia of the power going out and those two eyes glowing in the dark lol even though I collect them now😅
