    I've been putting off this project for quite some time because I'm not strong enough to lift the size of concrete bowl/birdbath I'd like to make but after watching you, it dawned on me, "I have a cherry-picker!" and now I know what to do. Thank you so much!

      Is there some way I can get a copy of the template? How wide in diameter and depth is the center hole? How do you attach the templete to the PVC?

    • @dameonthemove9596
      @dameonthemove9596  2 года назад

      @@donnabosken6396 Thank you for watching Donna. I made the template using plexiglass I had in the shop. I just cut out the shape I preferred. The diameter of the outside of the bowl is 26". It's 6" deep. the plexiglass template is attached to the metal pivoting arm. I'll show the complete tool in future episodes.

    Hi. Does your template swivel have ball bearings, if so where did you find it. Also, do you have information on how to keep your sand from collapsing with taller pots. Thanks.

    • @dameonthemove9596
      @dameonthemove9596  2 года назад +4

      Hi Barbara
      Thank you for watching.
      Yes there are ball bearings in the shaft. My husband is a machinist, he made the shaft. I will be filming an episode asap on how the swivel arm is made.
      I use play sand. It can be purchased at most home reno stores. It takes practice to find the right amount of water so it sticks but not runny.
      Kindly

      Your husband did a great job with the template setup and making it to where the bowl will suspend from the chain.
