Lou Smith Late to the party with time stamps, yes. Trust me when I say I’ve been watching your bcnr videos for months. Kendall Jenner is tied with Sunglasses for my favorite song and I was going to timestamp it so I didn’t forget its place in the video, but just winded up timestamping the set as a whole.
Haha. I was just having a little joke with you referencing some lyrics. Thanks for that and I'm glad my vids have been a source of perennial pleasure for you. I hope I can get to see and film them again, though they're signed now which often causes copyright strikes on my uploads. I get quite a bit of leeway, as many bands have had some great exposure from appearing on my channel, but not always.
Lou Smith Yeah man, thanks for introducing me to some of my favorite bands. One of the main reasons I wish I lived in the UK is to be able to be present for the south London scene that YOUR videos have exposed me to. Also, they signed??? Where to? How do you find out about this stuff? I don’t see anything on their socials.
@@Evanmnm lol holy shit I forgot about this comment. I love 'em both! The BC,NR debut is great and there's already a new LP on the horizon... very, very pumped. Then of course there's black midi with Schlagenheim and Cavalcade and then LP3 soon too! Fuckin awesome shit all the way around. It seems like it was only yesterday we were all dying to finally hear their debuts, but now it feels like they're putting out quality tracks and projects left and right.
Yeah! They get a lot of Slint ref, as do Black Midi. Very similar meter on Nosferatu as you observed. I must say Slint went largely under my radar back in the day.
Completely addicted to this, hope they will play somewhere in Europe soon. Also am I the only one who thinks this sounds like Slint + Bruford-Wetton-Cross era King Crimson?
I love their "Kendall Jenner" song. If you hear the drumming and riff of the beginning of the song it's almost exactly the same as "Exercise One" by Joy Division!
Shaun keaveny played their new single this afternoon. I really like them. There's something original and yet familiar with their sound. Reminds me of Nick Cave and a British post punk band, And Also the Trees. The fiddle and sax really add an extra dimension.
Yeah! I was listening to that. I idly thought that there'd be a few extra people passing this way, as there really isn't much of their stuff online. They're playing tomorrow night, so I am hoping to grab a chunk more of their set. They've been topping my most watched list for three or four months now, dislodging Black Midi from the top three places, and with some radio play, they could go ballistic, as their parent band was poised to. Come back in a few days to check out some more.
Finally got the chance to see them last night at MOTH Club, been meaning to since I heard they were all ex-Nervous Conditions. Super impressed, very excited to hear more. Very tight band, and considering the other band on the bill were Duds, that's saying something.
They're getting a lot of love on here! I saw Nervous Dispositions, who I thought were poised to be the next big thing. Glad to see these guys rising from the ashes. I'll get more footage when I can.
@@syaoranoni54326 I don't know them Must be good though. The singer from BCNR played at the acoustic night I go to every Wednesday. Here is their version of Sister Ray with Rosy from Goat Girl and Angus from NoFriendz. ruclips.net/video/i0hir2N-ctA/видео.html
Kristopher the only song title I know it's Athens, France as it's their single release. There's not really a huge amount of info about them, and my two videos have been the only visuals to date, this one having been doing the industry rounds in a frenzy to sign them. A lot of love coming their way.
@@LouSmith me too, really in love with that single, missed out on the 7" unfortunately. I saw them as NC once and was really impressed, this is even better imo.
@@TheMglan Yeah. I saw them too at the Moth Club I think. Tune in to Mary Anne Hobbs on Radio Six tomorrow at noon for a live in session 12 march. Views for these couple of vids are going to rocket!

You may be right. Thus was a pretty early gig after all. The guitar amps are all stage right in the Windmill, so he'd be behind Isaac as usual if he were there.
where it all started.
Farewell Isaac! Thank you for everything.
crazy seeing how much theyve changed since this live set
Yeah. This was pretty early on. I love to watch the evolution of songs.

Dyou know which label they've been signed to? Heard rumours it was ninjatune?
Darkly enough, RUclips’s algorithms brought me here, and now I’m a fan. Whoops.
Yay! If it brought you here from Black Midi, that would be understandable. Pretty relevant though eh?
Kendall Jenner is such an insane song
After he messed up for a second you can see Lewis shaking his head at the camera with such an anxious look around 16:38, hahaha
That performance of opus😲😲 gets me every time
The clue is in the title😜
I love this band. I'll listen to this set and realize that I'm not breathing. Kendal Jenner brings a tear to my eye.
thank you isaac
Absolutely love the recording of Opus on the record, but the raw aggressiveness of this performance is hard to top
Yeah. The early outings were pretty spesh.
Have you seen the 2021 Paris one? Great in a different way too, imo. And potentially the LAST, now that I think of it.
This is fucking amazing. I am so, so excited for the futures of both Black Country, New Road and black midi.
How you feeling about each now?
Larry David said it best.

Some Nosferatu Man Slint vibes at the 12 minute mark.

I absolutely hear Slint from the first guitar. The wordplay from the vocalist reminds me a lot of Captain Beefheart in a way as well
immensely late reply, but I always thought that the heavy section of Algorithm sounded just like something off of Red
Damn. This is the most exciting band I've seen in a long time.
oh my god i need them to drop these songs as isngles or an album already im so in love with this shit
They've released two of them as singles already. Sunglasses and Athen's , France Not sure if they sold out already though.

Saw BCNR at The Lexington on Friday and I think it’s safe to say that I have a new favourite band!
I think you're not alone. ;)
Black Mirror but a band
You'll get more of a chance to reflect on that later when I upload last night's gig!
Black mirror, new road
Thank you so much for getting a recording of this. These tracks are incredible, bless 🙏🙏

this is insane, this squid and Viagra boys, so much amazing music using brass.
Those other two bands are definitely on my wish-list for capturing soon. Even FWF have gone Sax and Strings!
No brass lol
