Love your videos Mark!! I bought a Grizzly V3 a couple weeks ago after watching so many videos comparing them to other bikes. I dont think I would ever want any more power than the grizzly, with both motors engaged it is such a beast. Thanks for all the great videos
I wonder if you were to just start with one motor and battery, and when it get low on energy, swap for the other motor and battery. So would that give you more distance?
This video is the reason I'm waiting for the Graffiti X to drop before buying a bike. If Lyric hadn't hobbled the takeoff on the Graffiti, I would've already bought one.
What this video teaches us is that Lyric sets their controller so that it appears a higher MPH, while Grizzly's is closer to the truth. Also, since in practical everyday riding, with all it's stop and starts, acceleration is king. I have a hard time finding places where I can get up to and sustain full speed riding in the city. But I am always accelerating. This is why the dual motor "off the line" speed rules. It's more "usable speed."
I like speed off the line but it's also nice to have good top end speed even if it's rarely used. I'm not a fan of pinning the throttle to get top end speed. I like a little room at the top end.
Try this with the 2023 lyric graffiti . Most of the grizzly lead is because of the geared hub motor . The direct drive in the graffiti requires a lot more power to be effective. That is why makers of the graffiti changed just recently to geared hub motor.
They don't even make that model Graffiti anymore due to all the battery problems and other problems they had. Lyric is a new company that is still learning at customers exspense, I bought the original Graffiti and was glad to get $1800 for it because it wasn't worth much more. Put that money towards a Aniioki A8 and it is everything and more that I hoped to get out of the Graffiti.
An idea for another race. I'd like to see both of you pacing at say 20 miles an hour and then hit full throttle. That would remove your launch from the equation entirely.
Likely, that's not a 2500 motor on graffiti... more like 1500w... and misrepresented as they claimed proprietary... 52v 1500w will do 33 mph... a 60v and 2500 w would smoke the grizzly.. And, they set the speedometer to fake faster than reality... Lyric goes 33 - 35 mph tops... truth don't lie... There is great love here for you...
@@oregonebikermark8953 Yes, that's what they're selling you, However, compared to the Grizzly, you are going less than 34 mph, as you were not making ground and even looked like you were losing it, as you were getting "dusted"... just teasin'...BTW, you can have a larger motor and not enough "power" to push it and go at that snail's pace of 33 mph... There is great love here for you.. . 52v is just not going to give you much more... you could have a 12,000w motor.... and blaze along at a whopping 33mph...
I own a V3 Grizzly, I figured the Grizzly would beat the Graffiti due to the higher torque dual motors. I was kinda surprised the distance between the 2 bikes. Is there a wheel size adjustment on the Graffiti like the Grizzly? Very interesting ....... Thanks for the video.
Grizzley is just a faster more powerful bike that can get you out of tricky situations faster and easier but at the same time could get you into a predicament because of it's power on dual motors also. Beast of an ebike.
If my memory serves me correctly didn't Lyric advertise the graffiti to be a "true" 36mph ebike? It's more like 32mph. I also have a grizzly and on both test with rear wheel and awd I've gone faster than the speeds displayed on the video. I enjoy the grizzly a lot especially the dual power on it. What I would like to see would be a race with the grizzly vs rumble motor apex.
To me that just shows that the grizzly is better in every way a closer match would be the grizzly against the rumble motor mighty apex which would be a dual motor vs dual motor it’s a shame cause I was going to get the lyric till they changed the rear motor on the production bike and still have no date for the dual motor I instead pre ordered the rumble
I remember you saying the E huntsman tires were taller than the stock tires. So with the stock tires maybe it said 36 but with the E Huntsman tires it says 34.7, but in reality it is close to the same speed? Both super nice bikes imo.
@oregonebikermark8953 thanks. I've been wondering of I can either manage to drop a front one on if I get a Lyric OR of Lyric is planning a release of a Graffiti with a front motor OR essentially the same bike with a different model name.
Cool dudes!! Nice video.. Yeah , mopeds usually 49cc were topping out at about 25-28 mph for faster ones. Maybe 30 mph on some. And all mopeds were a step through style.
Yeah, mopeds had no takeoff. I know on the grizzly you have to be careful....if you relax too much and hit the throttle at the right time it could jerk the handlebars right out of your hands. It has never happened to me but came close a couple times. You see a lot of electric wheels out there Mark? In MN I have been seeing one guy riding around town. Look like fun but I'm too old and fat and I don't want to fall lol. Maybe if I can get skinny I will try one!
Graffiti looks much better but the Gizzly accelerates quick!
Yes it does, great off the line with the dual motors.

Thanks! Have fun on that Grizzly.

Good Question. I Do not know.@@gossman75

Awesome race. Now lets do a spark bandit vs grizzly.
Try a ghost 2 bro. 1 motor @ $1900. 140NM Good Nite
Lyric Graffiti X.

Heavier bike with single motor it will be slower.
Your best video yet Mark… really like the new opener/closer….!
Thanks.

Graffiti X model will be coming out soon.
@@oregonebikermark8953 No thanks, they lost me as a customer and strongly suggest others steer clear of Lyric Cycles.
What are the problems? I have one but don't ride it much. What should I be weary of?

@@oregonebikermark8953 I think that would be good. Start at 20 mph side by side.
Enjoyed the race, the bikes are two different animals.
Thanks. They are definitely different.
The grizzly has a mechanical advantage so of course the results are what they are.

The Lyric Graffiti (2022 Version) for me tops out at about 37 mph on flat ground under good weather conditions.

Hey u should try a rolling start!
There's no replacement for displacement, dual motors all the way!
Mark like I told you, you need to pedal off the line with the Graffiti to make it competitive. That would be more interesting.

Seems like the Lyric is not reading the speed correctly
More bike content should have co-creating, you are ahead of the middle of the pack.😀

Compare with same price units not higher price units

u might have a v3 grizzly i think mark has. a v2
@@EBikeBuilder_ I do lol. What's the difference? Thought they have the same motors and controllers
The E-Huntsman tires are heavier than the stock tires and take your speed down about 2 mph.

Graffiti X...? Dual motors??
Nope, single rear gearless hub.

I think my Kepler would beat a grizzly at a rear wheel only race

So that means that the price for the graffiti is way overpriced
that was even worst 2500W get it's ass handed to him buy a single 1000W that is pathetic
that is a bust lyrics get it's ass kicked like real hard
