ruler is generally able to flash out to safety and was playing safe; no one can stop the enemy from trying to reach ruler on varus anyways (immobile adc). ruler is better on xayah, zeri, jinx or tristana, you know champions with dashes.
I think Ruler missplayed a lot in this situation. First his position was not great - he was too far forward when they look to not get engaged on while Rene gets the turret and then if you have ever played Varus you will know that you always press r and then f + he even had time to throw r while Faker is dashing in because Ashe was doing good marking and spotting Faker. So overall it was great play by Faker but Ruler played it almost the worst possible.

If Ruler had happened to flash down and right instead of up and left, he probably would've been able to flash over the ult, but Faker knew he was going to flash towards his team, so he angled his slightly to get that tiny bit of extra reach, insane.

This is why Faker is and always will be the best mid in the world. League will be so much less interesting once he leaves the stage. Also Worlds has by far the best tournament system. A knockout stage like that is just needed in every tournament. No second chance double elemination bullshit. Just the better team wins and thats it.
For worlds yes, for MSI I don't mind double elim. I like getting more games. Especially since without double elim this MSI would've ended up being basically an internal championship until the finals with how tragic the draw was.
@@Arkanna96 My issue with double elemination is that some matchups are extremely close and a BO5 could go either way. Then when the losing team gets another chance and wins this time it just feels unfair. I dont like that at all.

im sitting here totally clueless trying to figure out how to play
This is the best roster in the history of league of legends.
"All roads lead to to me."
Guy right of Caedrel's facecam at 1:19 can't compute wtf he just witnessed
I think this might be the biggest play of Fakers career, they basically won worlds thanks to this play.
Wasn't the biggest, but for sure, the most important. Zed v Zed was when they'd already won. This one was during a 50/50
@@nathanhosea489 yeah you are right by biggest I meant the most important not the most mechanical.
1 year later he's in another Worlds Final...
I want T1 win this worlds so much.
Edit 11 months later: I want T1 win this worlds as well.
This is why Faker is and always will be the best mid in the world. League will be so much less interesting once he leaves the stage. Also Worlds has by far the best tournament system. A knockout stage like that is just needed in every tournament. No second chance double elemination bullshit. Just the better team wins and thats it.
For real
For worlds yes, for MSI I don't mind double elim. I like getting more games. Especially since without double elim this MSI would've ended up being basically an internal championship until the finals with how tragic the draw was.
@@Arkanna96 My issue with double elemination is that some matchups are extremely close and a BO5 could go either way. Then when the losing team gets another chance and wins this time it just feels unfair. I dont like that at all.
@@EldenLord. I agree with that one, especially considering that double elim usually doesn't give anything to the team that doesn't lose at all. Play-ins this year felt so unfair to me cz PSG won all their games and then ended up getting screwed over by BDS being morons and throwing vs Whales and coming from the lower bracket.
@@Arkanna96 exactly, the winning team gets no advantage. If you manage to go straight to finals, there is no second chance. Now when a team you already beat comes back and beats you it just sucks imo.
Redbull on the top left corner: WTF we pay for the baron power play bro
Faker’s face after: “It’s just business.”
It's great when you have teammates that actually engages when you do and not chicken away like noobs.
Mr. Faker, How long will you teach us something valuable, until when?
GOAT
At this point Fakers Azir is probably more iconic than his zed and ori 🐐 GOAT
Edit: lmao I also forgot he plays an insane Ryze and LeBlanc
Yeah, Last year I think he had 70% wr on azir the whole year. DRX gameplan was to ban or pick his azir
@@dumbassdude8372That ban or pick of azir might probably play a role for Weibo vs T1 next week. Hope T1 takes it all tho.
Ryze is his most iconic but Azir has to be 2nd
How ironic knowing he used to be bad at the champ at first and SKT had a sub just for that (Easyhoon)
Reminder of Faker absolutely smurfing on Ryze back in 2015 Finals
His Ori is off the charts this worlds, though. It's just always taken away from him. With his ori, T1 would actually snowball harder early game.
I saw an angle and I took it.
insane play
People underestimate Faker because he had become a way more complete player that doesnt take risk like before and is not as flashy but that makes him even better thats literally why they won even they where not the favorite
Meanwhile Zeus is bullying the sh*t out of knight
faker withstood the test of time. bro has been dominating since his debut. he truly was ahead of his time.
that predict flash is insane
This is personal, its the revenge to ruler back then during worlds finals 2017.
as someone who doesn't play LoL, i watched some games from the tournament, and although i had no clue what was happening, the hype and atmosphere was crazy lol.
He predicted a prediction and made a game winning play by removing the enemy’s key player.
I swear Azir is one those champs that's dependent on the user and knowing how good Faker is just show how terrifying Azir is on the right hand
azir champ sucks especially when I play....
@@kimyonghyuunsame. I have 10% winrate on Azir.
System F4K3R detected win angle
they always have their comeback in one moment like this
The thing about this move is the flash in revenge into Ruler’s Varus that did the same to Faker one year before to win worlds
He got ruler back for that arrow back at worlds 2017.
Oner flashing ashe arrow FRAME PERFECT into rell ulting 2 people AND stealing cloud drake was arguably the best play at worlds, this one was very well played as well but i'd give the credit to Oner nonetheless
while the flash was for sure insane, it was also faker who made sure that this play was juiced to the max. just look at how quick he was just right there and ulted jdg into oblivion. without faker, oners play is still good but not to the extent we were allowed to witness.
This play give them the win, The Oner one just prolonged their supposedly defeat. If Faker didn't do the play they will get sieged with baron buff with Guma flashless cause he burned it to avoid an Ashe arrow that should never be a problem if he brought Cleanse in the 1st place. This will put them in a huge disadvatage in contesting the elder later on with their bases in shambles.
Revisiting this play a year later and it still feels great.
The play that won Worlds. The play that upset every LPL fan. The play made every LPL fan angry. This was just the embodiment of all that.
LPL fans apparently dropping out like flies because LPL teams aren't winning international tournaments any more, and this was the hope that could've brought it back, but was crushed by Faker. It's no surprise there are plenty of Faker haters out there, this guy is destroying them in real life, not just in game. EDG claims the entire LPL to be struggling, RNG going bankrupt, like, holy, talk about destroying a region, this is a whole new level.
the level was so high that it flew into space
both teams are so good
It was so good that even the Chinese were calling him Papi
FAKER 🐐
I have to watch the fight in 0.5 speed to fully appreciate the genius moves of Faker 😅😅😅
greatest of all time league player and GREATEST OF ALL TIME esport figure.
Faker needs an Ultimate skin for Azir with a voice line "All roads lead to me"
”NOT IN MY HOUSE!“
Guma's Stopwatch is the reason it was removed in Season 14
faker gave ruler a taste of his own medicine
There is a reason Faker is the G.O.A.T.
Thats the revenge from 2017 final!!!!
Faker: Remember 2017, Ruler? BECAUSE I DO!
Enjoying every moment of it because one day he will retire and we will miss him. It’s life tho
Fakers eyes widen as he takes KANAVI's manhood "Oh I've been MISSING this... 3 6 9.... I'll need a bigger RULER" Faker licks his lips murmuring to himself "I could take this all KNIGHT"
While Missing is still missing here !
I thought Gumayusi was out of the game with how early game happened, man is a beast.
Congrats on 1 million views, Pedro🎉🥳
불사대마왕: 모든 길은 나에게 통한다.
