One of my favourite things about Jurassic World is that we still have the same T Rex (Rexy) from Jurassic Park in these films, it's a nostalgic trip I always love to see. I'm also super hyped to see Jurassic World Dominion when it's released, are you excited for the Dominion Cody?
Also can we also acknowledge the fact that many people hate on the "world" sequels as supposed to the "park" sequels but ironically, the "world" sequels follow more of the source material of the original books rather than the park ones lmao. I know there are problems with the world sequels, yes fallen kingdom was kinda bad but I still respect the fact that collin is adopting more original source materials for his movies.
Fun fact: In the Jurassic Park: The Lost World book, a Carnotaurus appears which was created from a Chameleon so it can camouflage itself with the environment. This inspired one of the Indominus Rex's abilities.
Seeing a new Jurassic film after a fourteen-year hiatus was a total breath of fresh air for me and Jurassic World was well worth the wait! The new cast of characters especially, Chris Pratt as Owen was very nice and the dinosaurs are amazing as ever, especially with today’s developed CGI, not to mention animatronics still being used for the films. The Indominus Rex is a total beast, absolutely terrifying but cool at the same time! Not bad for a hybrid. Also, the new Velociraptor characters, specifically Blue are great. The final sequence when Rexy and Blue were double teaming the I. Rex was spectacular, even that surprise finishing blow from the Mosasaurus caught me off guard!😅 Jurassic World was so refreshing that it has re-ignited my love for the franchise after so long. Arguably my favorite in the Jurassic film franchise by far! Really looking forward to the Fallen Kingdom reaction too.😁
So glad to see you enjoy this film! I worked as a background extra in this movie, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life! Filming the pterosaur attack was a blast. We were running all kind of directions and colliding with each other. It was pretty dangerous. I ended up with a scraped knee and I know of someone else who broke a leg haha Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard were so sweet. Very kind, humble, and down to earth people. I spoke with Bryce a good half hour when we were filming the visitor's center scene at the beginning as we were positioned next to each other and had a lot of time while waiting between takes. She actually autographed a DVD I own of The Help, another movie that she is in that is one of my favorites. Awesome person
22:45 Fun Fact: I believe that's a Dimorphodon, which was a real pterosaur from the Jurassic period. The movie model looks a bit off, as the real Dimorphodon had more of a puffin shaped head than the full-therapod look the film did
Yeah, true. I mean they changed some Dinosaurs, like skinny Rexy, the Velociraptor (Blue, actually a Utharaptor), the Dilophosaurus and the Giga, the way to big Mosasaurus and the Spino looks completely off. But I mean it's alright. I really like this movie, which one is your Favorit?
Yes, can't wait to watch it! 😍 I've heard a lot of people don't like this movie but it's actually my favorite too. Out of all the Jurassic Park/World dinosaurs this one send shivers down my spine
I remember as a little kid, I kept hearing rumors of a Jurassic Park 4 being in production. I was starting to think this movie would never come out. When this film finally did come out, it was super satisfying to see it in theaters. All those years waiting and this film paid off! Jurassic World was one of the best movie theater experiences I ever had!! Im happy you got to enjoy this one!
This is my favorite of the "Jurassic World" movies. So far! I'm really looking forward to seeing "Jurassic World: Dominion" later this year. Seeing the original 3: Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neil, and Laura Dern back is going to be amazing. Fun Fact: 23:26 The guy who grabs his margarita before running to hide is said to be a cameo from singer Jimmy Buffett. He's best known for the song "Margaritaville". Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
Lmao I remember going to see this movie in the cinema and when the mososaurus jumped up out of the water I whispered to my friend "It's a leopleurodon Charlie!" (referencing Charlie the unicorn) and then shortly after one of the raptors turned out to be called Charlie so me and my friend were just dying laughing 😂😂 Also, the second type of flying dinosaurs are called Dimorphodons. They do look so weird like someone put a T-Rex head on a pterodactyl. Like something Sid from Toy story would do 😂😂
I remembered watching Jurassic World back at the theater in 2015 and it was one of the best dinosaur movies I have ever watched. The reason I like it so much is because it has perfect storyline, awesome open world, brilliant callbacks to the Jurassic Park movies, and, most of all, incredible cinematic dinosaur fights scenes. Cannot wait to see you watch Fallen Kingdom 😁
I remember my mother taking me and my younger brother to see this in theatres. Throughout the film my mother got really jump scared when the Indominus Rex appears.
One of my favorite scenes from the tag team was when Blue went right for the Indominus’ eyes/face. Her and Rexy working together to bring it down was fantastic!
Something I noticed first time I saw the movie and I've never seen anyone else mention is how at one point during the fight Blue jumps off the Indominus and onto Rexy's back and waits for a moment, then jumps back onto the Indominus.
It took them 15 years to make this movie happen! It made $1.6 billion dollars at the box office against a $150 million dollar budget, making the highest grossing movie in the Jurassic Park Series and the second Highest grossing movie of 2015. It received mostly positive reviews by Critics, saying "Even though this film doesn't capture the awe or imagination of the original Jurassic Park, it does give us what we always wanted: the ultimate summer thrill ride."
24:16 that is a dimorphodon, a dmall pterosaur. I think Its cool they had it in, its really popular. Also one of the closedt in the franchise to its actual size if Im not mistaken
I counted nine references or nods to the 1993 original in this movie! For example, Claire’s nephews? They’re not just a nod to original kids Lex and Tim, but how they handled such intense situations makes them their worthy successors.
Ayyy! This is my favorite one besides the original! (Although I still have to bring up the fact it relies a lot on nostalgia and also it doesn’t have to say every 15 minutes, “Hey! Don’t forget! Owen Grady’s a badass!”)
19:19 I remember seeing an official chart for the I-Rex's makeup, and if I remember right it's a mix of T-Rex, Giganotosaurus, Carnotaurus (where the camouflage ability comes from) , cuttlefish, and the other thing that's a spoiler at this point in the movie. 22:45 Nah, that's just how the InGen Dimorphodons came out looking. This flock of pterosaurs is made up of them and new Pteranodon.
Finally someone who appreciates the art... All the other people only care about oH jUrAsSiC pArK iS tHe oNlY gOod OnE but you are the best youtuber you are the only youtuber that really appreciates the effort and time that went into this and doesn't care about the accuracy of the dinosaurs, marine reptiles or flying reptiles
Two notes for you regarding the pterosaur attack: No, they did not make hybridized pterosaurs, those are Dimorphodon. Yes, they really did look like someone stuck a T-Rex head on a pterosaur. The guy who saves his margaritas? Jimmy Buffett, the guy who wrote the song "Margaritaville" and runs a restaurant chain by the same name.
The indominus was made of not only trex and raptor dna, but it was also made of giga dna for its size, tree frog dna to hide from thermal imaging, cuddlefish genes for its rapid growth rate, and camouflage, therizenosaurus dna for its claws, and abelidsaurus dna for its armored plating, and all that is how you make a monster rather than a dinosaur.
I've loved the fact that unlike Jurassic Park, the park is now OPEN and host to tons of visitors. They make the park look... real! Like Disney World on steroids and you could really go there. Great reaction! I like Fallen Kingdom and the direction it takes the franchises.... Go in with an open mind and make up your own opinion and don't listen to me or anyone else. Like or dislike on your own accord (which I know you'll do!). :o)
Me again! Been enjoying the reactions of the franchise, even if I'm over a year late. The creature in the Pterosaur attack scene that you thought was another hybrid is actually a Pterosaur (Pterosaurs aren't actually dinosaurs, they are flying reptiles that were alive during the rule of the dinosaurs) called Dimorphodon. It lived in the early Jurassic period in the forests of Europe and central America (around Mexico).
Casting Chris Pratt as Velociraptor tamer Owen Grady is an awesome addition in this Jurassic Park universe! Can’t resist the iconic move he made to tame them. Claire on the other hand, she went into Hilly Holbrook-mode with her ideas of making the park keep to the status quo rather than caring about the health and safety of both the guests and employees. Owen is all about survival instinct at least!
Archaeornithomimus was an ornithomimosaurian theropod dinosaur that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, around 96 million years ago in the Iren Dabasu Formation. ^_^
From what I’ve heard IRex is made of Trex as the base with Velociraptor, Carnotaurus, Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops (these ones are fairly similar to each other), Therizinosaurus, and Deinosuchus. They are also spliced with cuttlefish, a type of tree frog, pit vipers, etc. I could be wrong and I’m sure I missed some because IRex is a mess and a half to say the least 😅
The one thing I'll say about fallen kingdom is that it's really a love letter to the original novel's that Jurassic Park was based off and I personally really enjoy it
31:58 The skeleton that Rexy (The T-Rex) slammed onto was a Spinosaurus. It was like a homage slash revenge when the Spinosaurus killed the T-Rex in Jurassic Park III, which turned out to be the infant in Jurassic Park II 😂😂😂
Animals used to create the Indominus Rex: T-Rex, Velociraptor, Carnotaurus, Gigantosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, Deinosuchus, Viavenator, Pycnonemosaurus, Quilmesaurus and Therizinosaurus. All of these dinosaurs are carnivorous except for the Therizinosaurus, which is an herbivore with long claws it uses for defense, other animals included are Pit Viper, as seen with its extended mouth and eyes and Cuttlefish as stated in the movie.
This is the first movie of the Jurassic Park series that I watched! And the first movie that got me into and discovered Chris Pratt! He became my first celeberity crush after this movie! I was 12 when this came out in theaters and it also made me a fan of Blue!
Once you have watched "Fallen Kingdom" don't forget the short movie "Battle at Big Rock". It is an official part of the franchise and honestly speaking it is an extremely good entry. So it would be a shame to miss out on it. As for "Fallen Kingdom" I think the main reason why it wasn't as well received as the other movies is that we got teased with a partocular setting and scenario in the trailers while the movie actually went in a completely different direction. It's not bad though. I think I like it about as much as "Jurassic World". And out of the two it does have the better "villain dinosaur" in my opinion. As for why I think so I may comment on it once you have actually watched it as I do not want to spoil anything.
Great movie. I can watch it all times, never gets boring. The fact that most people don't like this movie is because all the dinosaurs are animated. In the first three ones they used animatronics for the dinosaurs. So lots of people complained about that. I think fallen kingdom used animatronics again ^^
Being a keeper myself I can say they nailed the relationship between keepers and dangerous animals. The restraint muzzles made me uncomfortable cuz training is a positive experience for keeper and creature and is optional for the animals to take part in but it's a movie lol Lot of people thought the dimorphodon was a hybrid to but it actually was a real animal (accuracy wise it's not my place to say)
One more thing. The third eyelid is a nictating membrane that some a lot of animals actually have but not many have it act as a full eyelid, if you've ever seen a crocodile blink that's the best way to show it off
no yeah, the dimorphondonts are a bit exagereated, but they arent that but as most of jurassic park/world dinos... but thats the thing, they arent real dinosaurs... they are all hybrids in some way
@@miguelcabreracastro6968 true they even mention that in this one, just wasn't sure cuz Ik jurassic is kinda hit or miss (brachio is pretty spot on from what I've heard but dilo is way off) but my expertise is more on modern animals
Hey Cody! I just suscribed Yesterday to your channel, i really love your reactions, about your question, The Little Flyers, those are a Dimorphodons, the name mean "two-shape teeth" i think they were middle Jurassic species, but they look quite different to their real counterpart, as all of Jurassic park/World Dinosaurs, for example, Dimorphodon was just a Little Smaller that these one on the movie, and it's tooth was a Little More rounded Yet Sharp, aswell it was asmost completely feather covered, or rather proto-pheaters
Fun fact we have at minimum three superheroes- Starlord, Bishop- Owen’s coworker, Peter Parker from Spiderverse- Jake Johnson’s character. And two Law and Order SVU actors Wu and Hoskins.
Cody, that tiny rifle Owen has in this film is a Marlin 45-70. They make them small like that so fishermen in Alaska can defend themselves against grizzly bears. If that rifle can make a grizzly go down, then a dinosaur shouldn’t be a problem if you hit it in the right spot.
I found out they were considered doing a live action JURASSIC WORLD TV series, but it has been put on hold, as producer Frank Marshall said in an interview that it might take them 5 years to make it happen, but they're happy with what they have.
What you saw with Indominus Rex's eyelid was the third eyelid, properly called a nictitating membrane. Humans have a vestigial inner eyelid, if you look far enough to the left or right, the inside of your eye has a small little membrane that used to be an inner eyelid in one of our far distant ancestors. :)
Some fun facts: The guy who went back for the margaritas was Jimmy Buffet and the T-Rex is the original T-Rex from Jurassic Park recaptured - she even has the scars from the raptors!
Fun Fact (Or not so fun): 24:03. A Mosasaurus has a second set of teeth on the roof of its mouth used to hold down and shred food while it eats. So when the Mosasaurus bit the Pteranodon, Zara was getting thorn to shreds by the second set of teeth.
It didn't switch eyelids. That is a third eyelid/layer used to clean the eye when stuff gets in it. Humans have one too, but it is not visible. That's what I was told.
CODY i just want to tell you that this T.Rex is the same Rexy from Jurassic Park 1993. She definitely aged and also Blue the velociraptor is another main character or dinosaue i should say. Jurassic World Dominion is released in cinemas on June 10
@@ItsTotallyCody Also Indominus Rex is made out of Therizinosaurus, T.Rex, Velociraptor, Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, Majungasaurus, Tree Frog and Cuttlefish
he was married to the girl who played in the funny scary movie movies. my daughter is 7 and she loves dinosaurs. the doctor that you mentioned, he actually played in an older movie i grew up watching called Slappy in the Stinkers.
19:31 The Reason He Has That Specific Gun Is Because That Gun Is A Marlin Model 1895SBL Which When You Go To Buy On There Website There Is A List Of Animals That It Can Take Down And On That List Is A Trex
loved this reaction,my dude! You'd think that everyone liked this movie, even old school fans, but Fallen Kingdom is not the only one to have its haters,Jurassic World did and still have too,not as many as the sequel tho. I'm so glad and proud you recognized the T. rex, yes, you are right, she's the same one from the first movie, our beloved Rexy,or Roberta, like her animatronic was named back in 1993. Little info: the flying ones aren't birds but reptiles, same thing with the aquatic ones, the non-avian ones are birds, and birds are dinosaurs too Jurassic World is definitely my very favorite between the two,but I am one of those people that say Fallen Kingdom isn't bad as many think, rather,I really really enjoyed it,I think you're gonna at least like it
According to the Jurassic World canon, the Indominus rex is a combination of T. rex, Velociraptor, Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, Carnotaurus, Deinosuchus, Therizinosaurus, pit viper, cuttlefish, and tree frog. A lot of names the general public doesn't really know about, but that's fine. To some it up: almost all the dinosaurs used to make the I. rex were carnivorous except Therizinosaurus, which was a herbivore and is the reason why the I. rex has huge finger claws.
One of my favourite things about Jurassic World is that we still have the same T Rex (Rexy) from Jurassic Park in these films, it's a nostalgic trip I always love to see. I'm also super hyped to see Jurassic World Dominion when it's released, are you excited for the Dominion Cody?
Rexy is still so cute, she ages well! 😁
You can even see the scars front the raptor attack and she’s even missing a tooth from an accident were the kids pushed the animatronics tooth out
Also can we also acknowledge the fact that many people hate on the "world" sequels as supposed to the "park" sequels but ironically, the "world" sequels follow more of the source material of the original books rather than the park ones lmao. All of these dinosaurs are carnivorous except for the Therizinosaurus, which is an herbivore with long claws it uses for defense, other animals included are Pit Viper, as seen with its extended mouth and eyes and Cuttlefish as stated in the movie.
Glad to see Rexy and Bryce Dallas Howard (Both of them my childhood favourite 🥰❤️) Also I loved the movie so much 😃🦖
the guy who grabbed the margaritas and ran was actually Jimmy Buffet
Rexxy took the quote from Sydney Prescott in scream 4 "Don't fuck with the original"
This is the first movie of the Jurassic Park series that I watched! And the first movie that got me into and discovered Chris Pratt! He became my first celeberity crush after this movie! I was 12 when this came out in theaters and it also made me a fan of Blue!
The true hero of this movie…Margarita Guy 😂
Cody the flying one with the raptor his called a dimorphodon
Have you seen Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Last Knight and Bumblebee? I recommend watching them after Fallen Kingdom.
I would never go near the ocean again with that massive, terrifying creature in there.
Fun fact: the rifle Chris Pratt uses is the only gun that is classified to “hunt Trex’s”
Bro me just looking at the color changing microphone the whole video:
Yay 😁 excited for this reaction
Great movie. I can watch it all times, never gets boring. The fact that most people don't like this movie is because all the dinosaurs are animated. In the first three ones they used animatronics for the dinosaurs. So lots of people complained about that. I think fallen kingdom used animatronics again ^^
The watter dino is like in the end keep it done up there and then ok i do it my self.
Being a keeper myself I can say they nailed the relationship between keepers and dangerous animals. The restraint muzzles made me uncomfortable cuz training is a positive experience for keeper and creature and is optional for the animals to take part in but it's a movie lol
Lot of people thought the dimorphodon was a hybrid to but it actually was a real animal (accuracy wise it's not my place to say)
One of the things that amazed me was Bryce running as hell on heels
Jurassic world is really a nice movie
Rip Irrfan Khan
31:06 That's exactly what I always say about a fight with the antagonist.
To be fair, atack someone ir something in the eye it's extremely difficult
Its not a reboot but a sequel. Basically the park from the first one was taken back over by humans and now the park is working for years as intended.
I found out they were considered doing a live action JURASSIC WORLD TV series, but it has been put on hold, as producer Frank Marshall said in an interview that it might take them 5 years to make it happen, but they're happy with what they have.
The small toothy pterosaurs with the king tails are called Dimorphodon. The big ones are the Pteranodons.
The flying ones with teeth are called dimorphodons and that’s pretty much how they look. Also the T-Rex, Rexy is the same one from the first movie.
Awe, your dog is so precious 🥰
32:55 the Abdominous Rex had its tail hanging over the water like a fishing lure that’s how that sea creature was able to get it
What you saw with Indominus Rex's eyelid was the third eyelid, properly called a nictitating membrane. Humans have a vestigial inner eyelid, if you look far enough to the left or right, the inside of your eye has a small little membrane that used to be an inner eyelid in one of our far distant ancestors. :)
could you react to Jurassic World camp Cretaceous is about some forgotten campers on the island when the Indominus Rex escapes
Chris Pratt carries a Marlin Model 1895SBL lever-action rifle, the only weapon on the gunmakers website that is rated for taking down a T-Rex
Some fun facts: The guy who went back for the margaritas was Jimmy Buffet and the T-Rex is the original T-Rex from Jurassic Park recaptured - she even has the scars from the raptors!
I really like the reprieve T. rex is given in this movie from the last movie, showing its sheer jaw power by throwing the Indominus around like that.
Fun fact the Mosasaurus has a back set of teeth when eating two things so Zara got shredded to pieces before being eaten. Not such a quick death…
Bled out in seconds that’s pretty quick
@@ItsTotallyCody Ok that’s a good point.
Yikes 😳 what horrible way to go.
I know it’s the same t Rex I said that at the end of the video
@@ItsTotallyCody Also I loved your reaction when Owen or Chris Pratt punches Vic Hoskins
@@ItsTotallyCody Also Indominus Rex is made out of Therizinosaurus, T.Rex, Velociraptor, Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, Majungasaurus, Tree Frog and Cuttlefish
Jurassic Park 1 is always gonna be the best one
he was married to the girl who played in the funny scary movie movies. my daughter is 7 and she loves dinosaurs. the doctor that you mentioned, he actually played in an older movie i grew up watching called Slappy in the Stinkers.
After all the jurassic movies can you watch maybe Flushed Away or Over the Hedge?
From what I remember, the indominus rex is made of : t-rex, velociraptor, carnotaurus and giganotosaurus
Much more
@@little_mr_divergantz1435 that's what I remember
Little info: the flying ones aren't birds but reptiles, same thing with the aquatic ones, the non-avian ones are birds, and birds are dinosaurs too
Jurassic World is definitely my very favorite between the two,but I am one of those people that say Fallen Kingdom isn't bad as many think, rather,I really really enjoyed it,I think you're gonna at least like it
Cody the Indominus is one of the most scary hybrids ever.
