What’s the approximate distance from shore and depth are you looking for when targeting pompano? I’m just getting into beach fishing and am concerned about getting bait out far enough
We hit 3 zones when throwing out bait. One in close , just past the breakers so really just a lob. 2nd zone is in between the 2 sand bars. Last throw would be max cast. Once you start getting bites in a particular zone, then adjust your throws. Every day is going to be different where the pomps are hanging out. Hope that helps! Tight lines🎣❤️
