Nice. A DAW's standard de-esser can make a pretty good fist of this. As a Cubase user, Frequency 2 dynamic EQ is my best buddy.

For sure, even any decent multiband compressor. What’s great about promb is how fast and transparent it can be! That’s why I would use it first, it’s also super easy to dial In the perfect settings. But the same principles apply to whatever plugin you use, you’ll most likely need to automate the threshold!

I like the qeaks. But, I think soften them off definitely helps to make it less annoying.

Half the time I don’t notice them, keeps it sounding human - but it can help to soften really offensive ones haha

@@spinlightstudios Oh definitely. The squeaks add a bit of character. But, if they are too often and too prominent then they can definitely start to grate. Very tempting with DAWs to perfect and perfect until none of the character is left.

Exactly what I needed. I recorded a nylon guitar piece. It took multiple takes to get the (almost) perfect performance...but there are two very conspicuous squeaks that are haunting me. I suspected that I could minimize them with either dynamic eq in ProQ 3 - or with Pro MB. As soon as you said it could be done in Pro MB, I literally threw my fists up and went "YES !!!" Lol !!!! Yeah, I know. Pretty nerdy. Thank you. Love your channel.

@@spinlightstudios BTW - after I left that comment, I followed your steps...the squeaks are gone. Brilliant.
